I've had my Gen 4 Glock 20 for about 6 years now, and it the pride and joy of my gun collection. I had the same problem with my G20 when I first got it, I wasn't expecting that hard upward snap and it took me about 3 or 4 rounds to get used to it. I also have a .40 S&W Glock 22 which also has a bit of a snap, but the Glock 20 has even more snap, and after about 3 or 4 mags your wrists start feeling it. Most calibers will push backwards before the barrel rises but not 10mm it's just that hard snap. Love taking my 10mm to the range because even with hearing protection the thing still sounds loud and anyone around will stop and look to see what is going on.
Yep, little old Connecticut has bear issues also which could be solved by opening up a hunting season. Although our bears are not as large as ones that you may encounter but they can still make go badly. I have very respect for wildlife so that’s why my EDC is 10mm they are of course the Glock 20 Springfield XMDE 3.8 and the 4.5 and also the S&W both the 4 and 4.6. I hope you had or going to have a safe trip to Montana and back.
The 20 is my favorite pistol I own. It’s a bit of a pain to carry because of its size. But it’s shots so good I can’t bring myself to put it down for a smaller nine.
It’s not my favorite pistol out of all pistols, but my 2nd favorite Glock behind the G21. I’m not a huge Glock fan boy but I am 45 years old and I’m on that 45 drug can’t help it so the 20 and 21 are my favorite Glocks. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I had the G29 and loved the concept but it had ftf and battery issues because I (Gene) have small fat hands and because of the recoil added with the thickness I had trouble keeping a firm lock on it. I hate it but moved to the 20. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I have had different experiences of having different types of pistols honestly I have made my decision to go with Glock and the Glock 20 is my favorite and every day carry
I have the G20 and the G40, the G40 has a KKM barrel with compensator and is amazing to shoot but way to big for CC, great in a chest holster for hunting
My first pistol was a Glock G-30 that I keep converted to 10mm. I named her Marcey, after my Ex. Because she's a sweet piece, But she's expensive to feed. And she gets a little too heavy to carry after a while. She'll slap the s*it out of you when you trigger her. And if she goes off in the house, the neighbors are probably calling the cops.🤪
I carry a Glock 21 and Glock 20. I swap between the two daily. 45 auto has less of a snap but with the compensator I threw on the 10 it works like a beast
I have G21 gen 4 and did the 10mm conversion. Picked up 3, g20 mags and the kkm 10mm barrel. 2 different calibers in one pistol With a quick barrel and mag swap. I keep the 10mm loaded with Barnes tac-xp 125 grain & the 45 acp with Hornady 165 critical defense.. The 45 barrel & mags have been in the safe since I did the conversion. 10mm is my EDC / H.D gat blaster.
Different gun, sort of, but I recently bought the Glock 21 in .45 acp. I have rather small hands, at least compared to the huge grip on this pistol. I got two grip extensions with mine, both extended beavertails with one having spacers in it that actually does make the grip the size of the original 21 and one that is so thin that it really doesn't matter or make any difference at all. I put the thin one on, shot it for a while and took it back off. As I said, I can't tell the difference in shooting the pistol either way as far as thickness of the grip. I like it so well with it on, both in function and looks I put it back on and it will probably stay on now. Seems to me to improve my grip on the gun as far as how uniform I hold it.
Supposedly the 20 and 21 are exactly the same with different barrels and different mags. I’m sure thicker materials to to handle the extra power of the 10mm round. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I have this particular Glock I have to say that I’ve never a problem with it and for a 10mm it does manage recoil very well. Sadly I’m in blue Connecticut the land of 10 round max gun control.
