Baroque music , least of all this "Winter Baroque" never disappoints any music aficionado. If it has to disappoint me Baroque music has to be 'born-again'!
One of the worst interpretations of Vivaldi's Winter I have ever heard. Full of rubato, slurs, and a host of added notes and flourishes found nowhere in his score. He was not a romantic composer and it is destroys the character of his music to attempt to make it so. Yes, there would have been some ornamentation when performed in his own time but nothing as excessive as this. Please keep your inferior thoughts to yourselves and leave his music as it was written.
