Thank you for this. I just bought one and I have been looking high and low for info regarding adding a bit more if you want creamier milk. I am going to try your recipe.
Did you try it? What did you think?
Thank you for this great and honest review. 🌸🙂 I think I'm going to try getting one of these.
You’re welcome 😊! I would like to add that now since I've used it for a while - the best milk I continue to make is a mix of cashew, almonds, walnut and soy. Oat and coconut did not work well for me. It became too slimey. With cashew, almond, walnut and soy I was able to get a good consistency (I use about 2 tablespoons for 20oz instead of 1 like suggested) when I filter it through a small mesh strainer twice. I hope you like it as much as I do! I do milk almost every day!
What do you mean there is no pulp? Drinking soymilk with pulp is unpleasant so is there an automatic option to strain it out?
I strain the milk through a regular small strainer not a cheese cloth or anything. That’s enough. When you do only cashews you don’t need to strain at all, there’s nothing. And soy and almond have a bit but not much.
Question! Are you able to add in non-nuts? For example sometimes my wife likes to add dates for natural sweetness to sweeten almond milk
Yes I believe you can do that. I personally haven’t yet but you could definitely add let’s say cocoa powder. As far as dates go, you can probably fit a couple but not more since the opening isn’t super big.
