Many thanks to Freddie Mercury (Queen) for his brilliant musical orchestration, “Bohemian Rhapsody” in 1975. This arrangement and performance by Jarrod Radnich travel from the sentimental ballad segment, to the quirky and fun operatic segment, to the “head banging” rock segment (with a nod to the famous Wayne’s World sing-along).

i played piano 9 years. Took this video into premiere pro, slowed down, cut and studies it side by side with the sheet music in my monitor. I swear to fucking god you didn’t miss a single note. unbelievable job.

@@ceylans6699 Sound engineering and splicing goes into pretty much every classical piano record nowadays. Such as the ones by Deutsch Grammophon. The live concerts always have some errors in them. That doesn't diminish the value of the music though, since the point of music isn't really to play the right notes.

Over 48 years ago I emigrated, the evening before I left I went with friends for one last drink, the irony is that I heard Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time that night. I can tell people where I was and who I was with when I heard it. It's one piece of music that has as big an impact upon me today as the first time I heard it.

Everytime I see your videos I have to imagine how you're in public with some people and there is a public piano. In some big train stations there is sometimes one. And you sit down and do that just unbelievable accurate and beautiful piece. Everyone passing by should stand still and fall on his knees

Rebecca Yu He passed away back in 1991 from Aids. He never told anyone he had it until 1990 when he finally announced it. He was so skinny too when he passed away. Very sad.
Jarrod... you fill my ears with sound. That seems an odd thing to say. I love the piano, more so since you made hours of my life disappear listening to you play He's a pirate over and OVER again. The very few videos you have on here are a pleasure to just listen to and I become encompassed in the violent delicacy with which you play. I just wanted to say, thank you...

I’ve never seen an arrangement quiet like this. you’ve got your own unique, elegant, energic and dynamically powerful playing style, which is just unmatched by any other pianist in my opinion! @JOHN S haha lol yeah. If you actually want to check out something crazy, vkgoeswild has covered slayer, metallica, etc. incredibly well on the piano, and that is surprising.
My first reaction when I see one of Jarrod Radnich's video is always aw I can totally pull this off. Then it changes tto uhhh maybe I can't and then to "but how?" and then I pass out.

+Hugs That's regardless, a piano solo encompasses the vocal and all other parts into one piece to be played on the piano. Some of the operatic part is acapella but he still plays it because it's part of the song and would be stupid to leave out just because there's no piano in that part.

HowToChallenjour to play the song itself isnt the hardest part. What distinguishes him from other pianists is his ability to put such raw emotion into each piece he plays.

Not really, he’s mostly just playing exactly what’s on his transcribed sheet music. Hair flipping and all that other unusual but emotional actions aside, what really separates him is his ability to transcribe such a hard piece and putting his emotion into that transcribed sheet so that playing it, without seeing him actually playing it (only listening to the audio of the song) invokes in the audience the idea that he’s playing with emotion. That’s honestly what’s truly amazing with his music ability.
it takes an intrumental version of the song for me to truly understand what the song truly is meant for me. I am so glad to be alive and be able to hear this song over and over again until i can't hear anything anymore. This song will still be remembered even in the very distant future.

i don't claim to know a lot about piano playing but i really love this version because its played a lot like the original. a lot of the youtube covers miss the precision and really hammering in the notes that Freddie used to do in his live performance.
