This video is about Dhanushkodi Railway station which is in the southernmost tip of India, it's an non-functional railway station which was destroyed in 1964 cyclone
आप वहां पर positive vives feel कर रहे थे लेकिन आपकी वाणी में इतना मिठास और लय बद्धता थी कि हम भी emotional हो गए और वही feel कर रहे थे, जो आप वहां Thanks sandeep ji
In between Class 4 and Class 5, during the Christmas break in December 1964, we made a big trip to South India from Calcutta where my father was a senior railway officer (ER). I distinctly remember the old Pamban bridge (trusses) we had crossed that took forever and the long corridors of the Rameswaram Temple. We had visited Dhanushkodi by train, what must have been not more than 10 days before the Cyclone, because we were in Madras (Edmore) on Christmas Day after we had gone to Trivandrum and Kanya Kumari. My father told us that the bridge being washed away but didn’t tell me about the huge loss of life. The other thing I remember was that the beach was a long walk from the railway station over sand. The Dhanushkodi beach had the gentlest slope and we walked ankle deep in clear water, for a long distance, to get to the surf.
@@dhirajladke4568 Almost died from bad medicine (since last Christmas) here in the US but looks like God wants me to stay alive. As my name may tell you, we're Vaisnavites but Lord Shiva said this one is mine (in Kashi where I was born - hard to explain). Batuk Bhairava and no amount of trying I'm always living a life with books, alone with everyone saying come and live with us. Been to 50 countries looking at large technical assistance projects (all the way to $10Billion in Argentina Renewable Energy - wind and solar) after they have spent a lot of money. However, the pull of those corridors is unmistakeable. May not even go to the 50-year celebration of our class at IIT KGP in 2026 January (the Government invites us officially but we're just happy to have seen so much positive change in India). You're the real thing and I ought to show my grandkids a real temple of Lord Shiva.

Sandeep Bhai you gave an emotional experience while narrating the sequences that led to the Cyclone in 1964. Thanks for showing all those places you visited. after seeing this eyeopener video Mankind should take the pledge of Protecting this Planet and Pray that such Natural Calamities should never take place again. We should have a clean environment. Top Class video coverage. Flute Music in the Background very soothing. Sunset view amazing.
I visited thier a long time ago around 2014 at that there were no roads only off-road roads . The only way to go was by going through a 4x4 thar . I remember seeing tracks there

I was just a 13 year old boy when I heard this incident through a regional news paper but I had partial knowledge and was keen to know the details of this natural disaster. I have been to Dhanushkoti in 2007 and saw the devastating railway tracks, etc. It's a good informative topic but could not throw light upon geographical aspects, was it a cyclone or tsunami? I wonder 57 years have passed but Govt. hasn't taken any initiative to rebuild this area.
My mom and dad used to say about this cyclone. It was terrified it comes upto andhrapradesh entire house a q floor house has been submerged into water. It's pretty terrifying even when my parents are telling

I had seen this place. A ghosty look it gives and people feel sad after visiting here. It is surprising that no data is available with govt abt loss of human beings and property. U feel like crying loudly after seeing this area.
I visited this place 5 years back, its look is horrible,we do feel the cry of the people who were swept away by tsunami and place looks haunted and there is entry on the island in the nighttime, only the remains are there of the village
