The Death of Object Consciousness.

When we relate to people as objects it often comes from a pattern of seeing a person that I want, without any desire to care for that person. When we relate to people based on what we want from them, rather than how we can love and support them. We are thinking about them as an object to obtain rather than living, breathing, human with feelings. If we are entering physical intimacy with a person, can we be upfront about our intentions for the relationship, and willing to have a conversation, our two on the back end of the interaction if the other person desires for the relationship to change after having shared physical intimacy with us. Any tendency to rush into a romantic relationship comes from a fear of being alone. Relating to the person we are dating based on our ideas of them rather than actually taking the time to get to know them, and can lead us to go through heartbreak rather easily when they turn out not to be the right person. When we feel attracted to people can we put our desires for sex, and our desires to date them on the back burner, and take the time to get to know them. Throwing ourselves at the first attractive person who likes us back is usually relating to that person from our ideas, and fantasies rather than who they actually are, and is feeding the part of ourselves that wants to check the boxes of our life and has no consideration for what's best for ourselves or the other person involved. When we date people it is a long-term commitment, and just like buying our dream house can we take the time throughly get to know the house, and inspect the house before purchasing it. All the time we spend alone, connecting to ourselves deeper, and loving ourselves through the aloneness is like saving up funds to then be able to purchase the dream house, when that dream house crosses our path. In this example, the house has to equally choose the buyer as well. All the time the house spent alone on the market makes it that much more grateful for the family that eventually grows within it.
