You only take barrel from the outlaw area, if the icon has the outlaw symbol, the rest you take from the face down pile. Hope this helps :)
Don't you take the barrel from the outlaw insteed of the main supply. I saw that in other playthrough's. Rulesbook not clear on that.

Yes that's correct, we played this wrong first time also, that makes balancing different in the number of outlaws
