    I think you are very personable and honest, and that you keep your prescribers in mind when explaining how you research and compare your airguns, scopes, and every part for an airgun before buying and how you are honest about what you research and how you find similar items and find out whether you can get a less expensive item that's as good as something more expensive and the reason for your choice, and it is apparent how much you enjoy what you do, thr excitement is contagious, SUBBED! Goimg to share your channel. God bless brother...

    Mr. Cantrell, I ran across this video while doing some research on these scopes. A friend has one on an AR-15 and peaked my interest. I am impressed with the scopes for certain, I’m curious if they will hold up to 5.56/.223. After reading the comments I see that some of your viewers use them on small caliber high velocity rounds/rifles. I’m Looking at them for a couple of my AR.’s but also another rifle I own that this scope may be perfect for. It’s a Remington XR-100 chambered in 204 Ruger. Great rifle with a good optic on it.
    On another note I gotta tell you that you seem like a real class act. I like your style. I’m just an ole country boy with a somewhat expensive hobby in firearms (and I understand the comment about your wife totally). I have an appreciation for a man who speaks the truth as he sees it, especially theses days. Soft spoken with conviction, sold it but not overly aggressive and overbearing. I see the video is 2 or 3 years old so I’m late to the conversation but need to tell you thanks for the great video and you have a new follower. I’ll be checking out more vids from your channel. Thanks again.

    Some channels have been lying for years, this is what could be going through their mind. During the time they're editing the videos "I have to cut out all the misses." or "If I even have a single miss. I will lose my reputation and viewers."
    The thing you did right is you showed us that you can hit or miss and its not a problem. Whilst a lot of other channels want to play the robot that never misses whilst working twice as hard (during the video editing process) because it will hurt their pride if they are found out.

    great video, sir! i really like your style; no BS, just your honest take on things. And i TOTALLY agree with you regarding UTG scopes. They are fantastic for the money and are tough as hell. I just bought the UTG TRUE HUNTER 3-9x40 scope for my QB78. Amazing scope, it maybe took 5 shots to sight it in, the windage was BANG ON right out of the box and only needed a tiny bit of elevation adjustment before i was zeroed in. Keep up the good work!

    Aaron, I have an Urban PCP which only weighs 6.7 lbs. In keeping with it's light weight and compactness, I wanted a scope that was compatible with that theme. I chose the UTG 3-12x44OA SWAT Accushot Compact scope. It has the etched glass reticle and a 30mm tube. It only weights 22oz and is only 11" long. It's like the baby brother to your scope. I had to purchase BKL offset rings in order to achieve proper eye relief though. I also have a Hawke 3-9x50IR Sport HD scope on my RWS 34P, but I like the UTG better. I also put a 60mm side wheel on my UTG. You mentioned that the battery will die if you forget turn off the illumination. My UTG will power down after a few minutes automatically. I have killed the battery on the Hawke though by forgetting to turn it off. The SWAT is easier to adjust when shooting offhand too. Makes a nice combo with the Urban.

    • @aaroncantrell8819
      @aaroncantrell8819  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I should have mentioned the 44mm UTG but I am so in love with the heavier 56mm that I totally forgot to mention the great 44mm. Sorry. One of my UTGs must be older because the battery has died and I have never turned on the others. Like your choices in PCPs and scope rings. Thanks for watching.

    Aaron, I just watched Ken's video regarding your friendship, very disheartening. I hope this is just a big misunderstanding and that you guys will resolve your issues. When I entered the airgun community six years ago, I was most impressed with the comradery and willingness to help one another and share information. There is so much to learn about airgunning, and without the help of the airgun community, and folks like you and Ken, I would probably have given up on airguns.
    Let's all just get along and share our experiences, and the things we have learned about airguns.
    Respectfully,
    Geo

      Can't go wrong. I will however make one recommendation. I have three 4-16x56mm scopes they gather lots of light on overcast days. However, they are big and heavy. So you may want to get the smaller 4x16x44mm. Also don't forget to purchase the 80mm side wheel for quick focusing. If you are going to be shooting long ranges you may want to consider the 8-24x56mm. Also look at every one on Ebay because the price can be from $114 to $199 depending on which model and who you purchase it from. Good luck and thanks for watching.

    I have 3 UTG scopes and have been happy with them. The one failure (elevation turret loose) I had was a 3x9x40 that quit after about 5K springer shots. UTG replaced it with a new one which is still in service 2 years later. One thing, you have to have a receipt for their warranty service.

    • @aaroncantrell8819

      When I was shooting my springer Diana 350 magnum it went through scopes like ducks through water. Especially my heavy 56mm UTG scope. Try looking into the "Hammer" line of scopes. They are made especially for springers. Thanks for watching.

    • @pjford5254
      @pjford5254 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aaroncantrell8819 Yes I imagine the Diana 350 can be brutal. Not a hunter, I go for the more moderate springers, like the Diana 34, Walther Terrus, and Hatson 95. With a combined 8K shots resulting in one lost scope that was replaced; I guess I'll take that. BTW, my understanding it to avoid the side focus UTGs with springers; at least that's what I heard. Good luck to all.

      You have ordered a great scope for the money. It is a bit bigger and a bit heavy than 44mm scopes but it is crystal clear and gathers more light in dark situations. Also it has a great side wheel focus. Be sure to purchase the 100mm Leapers UTG Add-on Index Wheel for it on EBay as it makes focusing a breeze. Thanks for watching and best of luck.

      Congratulation, I just looked at some reviews of the Umarex Origin and it seems to be a great gun and even comes with a hand pump. Shot count and accuracy is very good as well. Concerning the UTG the light gathering is better with the 56mm so it is great making videos with a scope cam. The draw back is that it is bigger and a little heaver. I have Six if them and all work great. I did get a 6x24-56mm for shooting bench rest competition but now that I only hunt and pest I don't use it. Best of luck. Thanks for watching.

Then he got a deal with Hawk and started pushing the Hawk sidewinder in 44mm. which costs around $450 I think. But compared to the UTG at $179.99 there was no comparison especially with the UTGs 56mm optical and etched crosshairs. Thanks for watching.

      If you can shoot a nickel size group at 50 yards with a .22 magnum springer then you should get a PCP and start shooting in major events. You may be a born master marksman. The best I ever did with my Diana 350 magnum was a quarter size group at 30 yards. Be careful because many scopes are not made to deal with springer magnums. My magnum destroyed several scopes. I love these scopes . I have a long and a compact in the Accushot series. 4-16X44 with side parallax and the 80 mm wheel. I plan to buy many more for my other guns. Man what a great scope especially for the money. Amazon has had these on sale at differ times for under 120$ wow. You can’t go wrong. Brand snobs can spend their cash cause I’m good enough with these scopes. For what they spend on those other scopes, I can order 2 or 3 maybe more depending on what brand. Amazon is hard to beat price wise on this model. Thanks for educating the brand snob knuckle heads. Still could do without the multi color reticle though, I don’t use it and really wish it was optional. Still my favorite scope out there even with all the colors. Red or green would have been enough but still don’t even use them. Do you lock your turrets down or leave them unlocked like me? Mine have never moved not once not having them locked.

    I’ve had the Leapers 8-32 x 56 strapped to my Airforce Condor since 07 or so. Never had any problems. But I keep seeing/hearing how crappy these scopes are compared to more expensive ones. So I recently bought an HW97k, and bought a Vortex tactical 4-16 x 44 to go with it. I honestly like the Leapers better, though I’ve yet to fire my 97k/ Vortex combo. But just looking through the 2 scopes, I think I like the Leapers better! And it focuses down to 10 yards opposed to the Vortexes 20 - a bad bit of research since I intend to shoot FT with this gun.

    In my opinion,there isn't a Damn Thing wrong with the UTG scopes! In Real World use,mine are Excellent. I am fed-up with these folks peddling and saying how SUPERB their $600+ scopes are! UTG has an Excellent warranty (I know,I've used it.). If people are compelled to spend the kind of money on a scope...or rifle,for That matter,then Great! Maybe we can hang out and do some shooting,I'll happily show up with my Kral Puncher Breaker and "lowly" UTG scope...just don't be suprised and butt-hurt if I out shoot ya! I own 3 Krals,a .22 Puncher Breaker,.22 Puncher Pro and a .25 Puncher Pro 500. (Plus a customized .177 Gauntlet that I bought refurbished for Less than 200 bucks!)I honestly don't Need more accuracy and power,if I do my part these guns are INCREDIBLY ACCURATE...and my scopes All cost less than $225.
    I Love the fact that You and SG (among others) prove time after time that ya Dont need a $2000+ rifle to get the job done...Very Well!

      You don't have to tell me anything about how great the Puncher Breaker is. It was at the top of my list until I picked up a P15. And the Gauntlet and the Urban were my top choice until they raised the price of the Urban to #400 so now the Gauntlet is my most recommended budget gun for beginners. You make two great choices. As for the UTG that was all Ted Holdover used until Hawk purchased him. So I know it is a great scope. Also I will put up my P15 and your Puncher Breaker and Urban against any gun out there. If theyre getting the product free or getting paid in any way to post a positive review, then that's a conflict of interest and you can't really rely on the review to be unbiased. @@aaroncantrell8819 yeah no problem. I was wondering if this optic is first focal plane or second focal plane?

      @@badbattleaxe5832 Sorry I never seen it listed as a ffp or sfp. It is a second focal plain. I want to try a first focal plain one day because of the unchanging holdover and windage. Thanks for educating me. Best of luck.

      If you shoot one thing on TH-cam and don't put the "Warning" at the beginning you could lose your channel if someone reports you. Did not want to put one on a scope review. Thanks for watching.

      @@aaroncantrell8819 thanks I can't say how they compare to utg but they are definitely better than factory scopes Wal-Mart scopes and Amazon scopes

    Why don’t you get into photography and stop killing living things? I’m a hunter previously. But, I’m sure much of what you do is sport killing. It’s killing and there is another way. You’ll feel better.
