What is the problem really, you have to go with the times. Star trek TNG was 1990, Star Trek Discovery is 2018. Of course you have other graphics, you can not use cgi in 2018 from 1990 then it is too old-fashioned and dated. You also buy the new time a lot of new clothes and a new phone because you have to go with the times. It seems to me that you are totally not a fan of Star Trek, there are plenty of fans who really like this Star Trek Discovery.
Thanks for the comment Robert! I'm not really sure where you're coming from here. I said in the video that I'm not a fan of the SFX, but that doesn't mean I yearn for the old school model effects from the 80's. The Orville is doing fine with their slower shots which afford the ships ample time to shine. Heck, even Voyager and Enterprise managed this with their fully digital models back in the 90's. I also didn't make a complaint about the clothes or technology so not sure where this came from - I'm actually totally fine with them rebooting the tech. Kinda had to be done really; can you imagine if they tried to use the old 60's sets! My biggest problem with Discovery (at least the first season anyway!) was that it played very fast and loose with the original premise of the franchise. It tried too hard to be what a lot of shows are today; dark, gritty and obsessed with sudden plot twists. I think you'll find that Discovery was easily the most divisive Trek show of all time, so I guess there's a lot of us who are no longer Star Trek fans! I do hope season two makes a fan of me. If you watched my video all the way through (you didn't though, let's face it) you would have heard me remark that the plot feels fresh and exciting. Thanks for watching!
