- The 'Lord of the Isles' Midland Pullman tour at the end of the line at Kyle of Lochalsh! See platform level and also aerial views at this Highland terminus and gateway to Skye.
Thankfully the weather treated us well for this visit with great views and minimal wind to allow some footage to be captured by air.
The Midland Pullman staff are absolutely amazing - Incredibly hard working and attentive to all customer requirements. If you're considering a UK rail journey - This should be high on your visit as the combination of Midland Pullman service and the views across the Highlands are very hard to beat as a combination.
All drone footage was captured in-line with current CAA guidelines as of April 2023.
Hope you enjoy the video! Thanks for watching.

She looks so good there
She? It!!
Almost off the map, must have been a great journey.
Amazing - Highly recommended to all. 👌👍
Some good shots there, Kyle hasn’t changed much. Last time I was there we pulled in with a 26 and 6 mk1 coaches!.
… and that wasn't last week either!!
Stunning shots! I imagine the run up on it would be amazing
It was indeed - Stunning journey 👌👍
What a way to visit the Kyle!
Yep - One to remember 💯 👍
Certainly is the end of the line😂!! Great video ,especially the aerial shots with the scenery. Nice to compliment the staff too👍👍
The staff are brilliant - A great trip that is very much recommended 👍
Brilliant video well done bye for now Philip
Shame theres no 26s left kicking about for you. Hooe you have a great time 👍👍😎
That is very true.. Just a 158..!! Good trip regardless though 👍
Great footage. Do LSL drivers get route conducted to these far flung corners of the mainland or have their own route knowledge ???
First HST visit to Kyle???
No - It’s been previously.. Think 2021 was the first visit however istbc. 👍
@@trainsplanes Thanks!
When I read MidPull was visiting Kyle, I did wonder if some passengers (customers?) would have to disembark via another coach. NO, they just had to work through the overgrown platform.
Can you get on at warrington and go all the way to Kyle of Lochalsh?
Yes - Thats possible over 2 days with changes at Glasgow and Inverness. 👍
That looks like a re-liveried HST set to me...
That’s the one 👍

Looks good.
I like the representation of the passenger accommodation in the 'power cars'.
You not down The Cambrian today then 😁😁👍
It would have been a nice day for it..! ☀️👍
been there by class 26s years ago
is'nt that the most north you can get by rail, i saw a documentary years ago, the bloke off monty pythons did a railway journey there.... great vid..
Michael Palin. And no, you can go further north.
What happened to the BRISTOL PULLMAN
Very far up north
Well worth the visit though 👍
Is there just one Midland Pullman train?
Yes, there's only one set. However, multiple powercars exist (think there's four in MP blue, another one in InterCity Swallow and another one in RCS green, all are ex EMR VP185s)
Cheers!@@Danse_Macabre_125
Oh damn forgot the Handbrake!
