While she waited in line, to use the restroom, she pulls out the business card he had given her, when he was at the hardware store, where she worked. She decides to call him. As soon as he answers, she hangs up! Changing her mind. And of course he calls her back right away. Because, he had her number. Because he gets a full background report on all his submissives, or submissives to be. 😆 It's in the books but not in the storyline for the movie.
Anyhow, 😆They have a little conversation; he senses she's drunk and, asks where are you? She tells him. He says, you shouldn't do that because it's dangerous for a girl to be that drink or something like that I forgot, It was a few years, since I read the books and saw the movies.
He tells her, I'll come pick you up. She hangs up on him. Of course, he has her phone pinged, because he's obsessed. 😁 She goes outside to get some air. And her friend Jose, follows her outside. At that moment, he decides to tell her how he feels about her. He tries to kiss her, and she says, no Jose, what are you doing and is pushing him away!
And that's when Christian shows, up and pushes him off of her. She throws up! And faints. Christian catches her. And she wakes up in a hotel room. Undressed, with his shirt on. 😆 he comes back from his run. There's more. But better if you watch the movie. If you haven't already. 😊

Haha always thought the “fight scene” was unnecessary, even in the books. a little cringy to me for some reason not sure why. Also felt like the proposal didn’t make that much sense because earlier Kate was confused if her and Elliot were even really together or not and then he proposes to her... in a night club at that... lmao okay... from the books those little facts always made me scratch my head. I find in Christian’s POV you always get more clarity than in Ana’s so can’t wait to see how everything unfolded on Christian’s end but anyway still love them and the series just saying. 😂
Its supposed to show you a glimpse of his older self. When he was younger he used to be a brawler so I feel like that was a way for them to show this. Maybe I'm wrong but idk.
@@amandalam1283 no you’re definitely right. and I know that’s what EL James was trying to get at with that but in Ana POV it just seemed really unnecessary to me more so because Ana was the one to slap him right away. Like if Ana was like I’m actually married and he kept going then yeah go for the slap lol but she did it right out of the gate. For Christian it was his character to do that even though I think like the numerous punches was a bit much but the slap on Ana’s part was too much I think. That’s why I said in Christian’s POV things tend to make more sense so I can’t wait to read that. (But also haven’t read freed in a while and I know Ana was drunk for after the club but can’t remember if she was drunk when that part happened but alcohol could have put some fuel into that slap)

And also in the book, Christian sees the dude grabbing his wife's arse and he only punches him once and the guy crumbles to the floor because he's fuming with rage. The way this scene was portrayed in the film was totally inaccurate and made it seem very over the top. Shame.

I have seen some comments complaining about the location of the proposal. Honestly, even if my boy proposes to me sitting on the pot inside the toilet without a ring, I'd say, "Yes, baby, I'll marry you. Yes! Yes! Yes!" But that's just me. Weird me.

I’m 40, single and struggling to pay bills. When I was younger I had a fair amount of men interested in me, who had very good jobs. Not billionaire like Christian lol but nice men with very good jobs, better than me. I’ve always been more emotionally independent and introverted so I wasn’t interested in marriage. Looking back I think my life would be a lot better now if I had gotten married. To a good provider. I had a better quality of life when attached to a good provider man. Oh well.

Elliot's proposal was very sweet, I think I understand why he proposed to Kate in a club because they met in a club although I think it would have been better and more romantic if he proposed to her in another place but it's still fine. I personally prefer Christian's proposal to Anastasia over this one.

I've been to a club in Seattle once. The music was loud but there was also a lounge/booth area where it was actually pretty quiet early in the night. It got pretty loud after around 11pm though. Maybe it's the same club he's proposing in!
