CSX 8060 built by EMD in August 1979, 45 years young and still earning her keep. I have to wonder how long before federal Emissions Rules force her retirement because short of a catastrophic accident there is really no other reason why she can't continue so long as replacement parts and electronics are available, there are still much older 1st generation F, GP and SD units from the early 1950s still turning in an honest day's work.

I'm in sacramento ca and yesterday a friend and I seen amtrack being placed on the tracks by seimens builder there also building new amtrak cars I have pics of a power to be set on tracks next week.
