    I followed this entire series to help me Manual Swap my 02 Civic. I gotta give it to you guys, helped me out a lot. Kinda wish you got the vtec head so you could fully rev out that engine, it is what it is. Thanks a lot for this series.

    When you installed the clutch peddle did you drill a hole on the bottom of the dash or did you just use the two nuts to tighten up the clutch peddle? I recently did an auto to Manuel swap and my clutch peddle is lose and noticed a third slot for a screw..

    I know it late but I been following along and you guys been helpful how did you guys run the clutch safety switch ?

    • @AbnormalGarage
      @AbnormalGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We didn't hook it up. Just makes it so you don't have to press the clutch in when you start the car.

    Doesn't the clutch pedal also have a bolt at the very top under the dash? Did you guys do anything there? I'm trying to figure out what I should do about that.

    • @AbnormalGarage
      @AbnormalGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We only bolted it to the 2 bolts from the master cylinder.

      @@AbnormalGarage awesome thanks I did the same. I'm going auto to manual K swap :)

      I bolted only the bottom 2 nuts as well, but that makes the whole pedal assembly bend downward and doesnt allow the clutch to fully disengage:(temporary fix was to prop a metal pole between the area where to top bolt mounts to, and prop the other side of the rod against the floor of the car) I am still unsure how to go about making a new hole to keep the clutch pedal fully mounted at the top :(

      @@itsonfire69 my pedal assembly flexes like that but just a very tiny amount, clutch works just fine. I was wondering where the sheet metal goes where the top screw is supposed to go, if it's anywhere that you can kind of get to, maybe drill a hole where the bolt is supposed to go, and put a nut to the back side.

    • @itsonfire69
      @itsonfire69 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fruitydudexD I ended up marking a spot for the hole, drilled it out about 5mm hole, and tapped it with a 6mm tap and die kit. And then I took a bolt from the intake box mount, and screwed it up there to hold it in place. But even still now I cannot get the clutch to disengage. 😪

  • @TheAxgrndr
    @TheAxgrndr 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    did you put a bolt in the top of the clutch pedal or just the two from the master cylinder

    • @AbnormalGarage
      @AbnormalGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It connects to the 2 bolts on the master cylinder

    • @spencermurray8426

      With the 3rd bolt not in place, did it allow for the pedal to want to flex or was it solid?

    Good job guys! Can't wait till you all figure out the immobilizer. Do you have a link to the new hydraulic line you bought and ran?

      Thanks! And yeah, I found the clutch line on eBay. Here's the link www.ebay.com/itm/Stainless-Steel-Clutch-Line-Black-fits-01-05-Honda-Civic-DX-LX-EX-EM2/142052735345?fits=Model%3ACivic%7CMake%3AHonda&hash=item211300b971:g:jYUAAOSwCINcp3wc

      It's a switch that the clutch peddle pushes in before it will be able to start you have a cruise control switch and the other so you can't start up in gear

    Where’d you get the clutch hydraulic line?

  • @EpicBoyGamer
    @EpicBoyGamer 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey, so I'm currently doing basically the same swap but I'm swapping the motor too. I have just installed my clutch pedal. There are 2 plug sockets with nothing plugged into them. Did you leave your plugs disconnected as well or did u wire them up?

    • @AbnormalGarage
      @AbnormalGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those plugs are for the neutral safety switch. As long as you're still using the automatic dash harness those plugs don't get plugged in. Once you've completed the swap, you'll be able to start the car without pushing the clutch in. The only thing you'll have to do is ground out the 4 wires on the fuse block under the dash. We show it towards the end of this video, and at the beginning of the next video (part 9)

    • @EpicBoyGamer
      @EpicBoyGamer 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Abnormal Garage awesome, huge thank you for making this series. Helped me heaps. The immobilizer won’t give me problems with those 4 wires grounded? B/c u ended up having to swap the steering column as well? Anyway I’m a couple of days until start up. Keep doing your thing, thank you.

    • @AbnormalGarage
      @AbnormalGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Grounding out the 4 wires will allow the car to think it’s in park so it can start. We swapped over the the steering column because we had the matching keys and ecu, so we wouldn’t have to have the ecu flashed by the dealer. If you don’t have the matching ignition and ecu, you can have the car taken to a Honda dealer and they can flash the ecu so it works with the keys that you already have. Then you won’t have issues with the immobilizer.
