Revealing the New Renovated Berm Peak Ranger Station!

- The Berm Peak Ranger Station is a vacation rental for mountain bikers, in Brevard, NC, USA. We bought this house back in the Fall of 2020, and by June 2021 it should be ready to rent! This is the biggest home improvement project we've undergone for sure, although it has been done mostly by contractors. There is no listing right now because we need to finish setting it up to get pictures. If you're interested in any of the products in the video, they are below.

I know they are a thing in the mountains as well to manage all the snow

I think what I love most about Seth when he's doing these builds is he thinks ahead and does his best to accommodate other people's needs rather than making all his decisions around his own preferences or thinking as though everyone is _just like him_ by default. Take the bunk beds, for example. _A lot_ of people would have just bought the cheapest standard twin bunk beds and called it a day, but Seth not only intentionally buys the XL length for taller people but he also takes the weight limit into account. It sounds small, but as someone who's slept in short, flimsy beds because that was "good enough" for someone else, it can change your entire experience.
It would be so sad but i have kind of a feeling that someone is going to wreck the place and vanish so Seth is going to have to clean it up. But let's hope that doesn't happen!

Yeah that's the risk with rentals. The wireless controllers might not be stolen the first week but I'd guess they won't survive the first year. Maybe I'm just pessimistic because of how it goes in France and Belgium
@@BermPeakExpress good luck getting airbnb to pay if a guest wrecks the house. Many stories of airbnb insurance not paying out

Sorry, didn't read through all the comments but my wife and I had a little restaurant for some time and put a map of the US on a cork board with map pins. We ended up over growing it and visitors from other countries would actually draw a picture of their country and we'd hang it next to the map. What a perfect place above your charging table!

The amount of thought you've put into your future guests is admirable. Once us Canadians are able to travel to the states again, this is definitely a bucket list I'll need to check off!

It's nice that you installed a charging station (just like in your workshop/garage at Berm Peak)! Although, how about a place for charging wireless droppers...and a place to charge bike computers....and a place to charge wireless mechs...boy, we have a lot of tech on our bikes that need to be charged!

Hey Seth here are few suggestions:
1. A medical room because there is high probability there maybe accidents/injury during the session.
2. Using old MTB parts to make wall arts.

Man! You spent some real money on that house! As a KitchenDesigner I know that was not a cheap remodel.
Tip for the Bed Shelfie. Get a bit of rubber or something and put it on the ends of the clamps so that people don't over tighten them and wreck the wood/paint on the bed frames.

I'm really excited to see this completed. It's been on my radar that as we return to a more normal life I can start traveling out exploring different trails through the country. I may even be interesting in trying out this place and seeing the area. I would just be myself so I hope this comes up for rent on a single person communal style rent where people ether have the option to rent the whole house (if available) or being able to just rent a bed.

This is awesome I hope I can make it down there this summer sometime I have an operation decision to make whether I put it off for a year or do it now if I put it off this is definitely on this Summer's due list. PS you fellas will know what I mean, it really sucks when everything else works just fine but then you're plumbing goes bad and you might have to have a pieces took out.
