I still don't get how you can make the noise channel "not" sound. It's playing, but I can't hear it

noise mostly there for feel; hats are low volume, kicks and snares are made w noise (presence) and triangle (punch); some noise risers are there just enough to cue the next part of the song? hat instrument volume's "15 12 0"; kick and snare vol noise is "15 14 7 4 2 1 0" (both done w "kick n")
there's a rare open hat in there too yet yeah also low volume! and the next perc cuts the open hat fast
