I have gotten heroes 3 essentially because it was my childhood. That’s being said as a board game if you don’t love the ip it’s not great. I enjoy it because it’s essentially the entire computer game in a box and it really hits that nostalgia, but it’s a complete fiddly awful rulebook mess as well. Also that being said I’m skipping the second crowdfunding because there’s already way too much going on and it doesn’t need anything more. Honestly pick you’re 4 favourite factions and that’s more then enough
Board games with miniatures have gotten way to expensive. And mostly you do not need them for gameplay. Standees do just fine. It is cheeper to buy now GW boxed game with lots of miniatures thsn fund something like this. Imagine you back a game for 100 euros. Trump makes tarrifs. You have to pay 40 extra plus shipping goes 20 euros up. Where does that leave you? And there is is always something new and second hand market.
Mythic Games really screwed the pooch. I'm glad I only backed Monsterpocalypse, some people backed a bunch of their projects. I sold the regular MonPoc stuff I had since Privateer isn't exactly inspiring confidence these days either. I didn't lose as much as some, but more than others, and would love for the jerks at that company to get their recompense for the garbage they pulled in their terrible campaigns. I'm still backing some projects, but mostly smaller stuff and by proven companies/individuals, partly thanks to them. I don't like any Lacerda games, they're messy and convoluted rather than actually complex, and Weather Machine is among the worst of that lot. Stan Kordonskiy is a great guy, he comes to Milwaukee Protospiel and I helped playtest some of his stuff, but I'm not a big fan of a lot of his very euro style designs. I love Slay the Spire on PC, but have not played the board game. Kelp turned me off with the pre-pre-order mini expansion thing, and it sounds decent but mixed as far as the end game especially. I've never played Food Chain Magnate, and don't plan on ever doing so. I've played a few Splotter games and the deluxified version of FCM at least makes it look like a fully produced game and not a prototype, unlike their other games.

Stan has a couple games upcoming that look great too!
If this is your type of game, I think Lucky Duck's food chain magnate's Deluxe pledge is worth the money! It is practically the same price as buying the original + ketchup expansion. But you get a bunch of "quality of life" upgrades + most importantly the art upgrade. I am speechless on Splotter's art talent. Why hasn't any artist volunteered to save them?? Oh yah, don't forget this is limited edition that won't go on retail except maybe future KS (which will probably have inflated prices).

I can see that. i'm on neither side so it'll be interesting to see if people are as happy with the end result
I don't think any of the listed are must-haves. The original Nemesis is sort of a must-have, but not the follow-ups. And especially Retaliation still have to prove that it's any good. It also won't be delivered before mid-end 2025.

I hope retaliation is the best. i would love that, even as someone who didnt back it
Weather machine is the only Laserda game I have. 😢 unfortunately it not popular at all. For nemesis I have base game, and my friend has lockdown. I wish I could buy expansions for first one. I want afternatch but it’s not selling in our country
Thank you man for the praise on Mindbug and Agent Avenue! It means a lot to us that you love those.
Alex from Nerdlab Games
Thanks! Formal review soon!
Really liked the pacing and the way you did this one Chris. Thanks!
Thanks!!
This is so much more helpful than just reviews!
Thanks!!
Slay the Spire is a top 10 game for me. Best coop deck building out there. Hit with every group I've played with.
I have it coming FINALLY
Awesome!
I'm so excited for Nemisis. Looks so good and game play seems great.
It’ll make you cry
@LRIIDynasty Is it that good?
@@adamgardner2244 it is that good, but that’s not why I said it. I said it because it is that hard lol
I'm still kinda regreting kinda not, not going in for it. Time will tell.
Slay the spire has been great fun at 4 in my group.
I prefer it with 3 because then no one has to play the watcher.
I finally ordered it!! if i'm lucky it'll show up before my marvel united multiverse pledge lol
1.3 MILLION DOLLARS from that Campaign. Holy crap. Monsterpocalypse. 200 bucks of that is mine.
Lol. sorry!
I backed Monsterpocalypse. Since then, I don’t back really anything unless it’s Dice Throne or Restorstion. I lost a lot of $.
I wasnt backing games when this was on KS but i would have given them all my money. The game looked so cool.
@@Allthesmallteas yeah, LOOKED good. Unfortunately, I will never see it.
Great summary - a lot of these games I remember being in the hotness and then never hearing about again
Thanks!
Note. Another item that blows up the cost for the AR post campaign is the offering of the painted miniatures.
:)
Reviewing previous releases is a valuable exercise.
Thanks!!
Lost $400 on Monpoc so thanks for the snidey laugh…
I can't tell if he's a jerk on purpose at times or not.
Sorry! lol. I mean i really am. it sucks all around
Appreciate the reply 👍
Is Andromedas Edge not doing well as a worker placement? This game began fulfilling just before Unconscious Minds did (I backed both of them)
I think it's doing just fine. i mean from the sampling bias i see at least so far

Maniacal Laughter Chris clearly killed Eating Crow Chris. 😂. Call the Police. 😎
I do what i can
By taking a break from Kickstarter and Gamefound I have not backed one of the mentioned games. Nonetheless some of them have already moved in. :D
lol
Wish I could send this video back to myself in 2023
lol. dont we all!
I'm still on the fence regarding HFW. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Wait and see. wait and see

Re;ACT mentioned LETS GOOO
RE;ACT!!
I have to say moonrollers is amazing!
I'm loving it. My only complaint is I wish there was more variety in the card abilities.
oof. didnt need to hear that lol
Doesn't matter about that is so much fun anyway. Could really be my most on person played game of 2024. It's amazing.
Damn, not even 1 game in my taste 😅
That just means you saved a lot of money then!

Good! find what works for you
Moonrollers sucks
I just saw the exact opposite comment here a minute ago. lol

waiting to see how good retaliation is!
Moonrollers is not a roll and write. It's a push your luck dice rolling game - not even in the same genre lol.
sorry, mispoke there. thats what i meant!!
