So... The making of this video is basically this: "Shadowserg: Here, I uploaded Vampire Night boss run. Enjoy! Arek: Oooh? A rail shooter? Me want too!" If only actually recording these bosses was easy... This is original arcade version run on M2 emulator so the only way to play was by using mouse. Perhaps it was only because of this that I succeeded. I can't imagine myself fighting Hanged man or Magician decently while using gamepad. All four bosses were recorded in different playthroughs total amount of which is somewhere around 20. I am surprised that this boss run did not take much more time. And also I did not intend to record fights with revived bosses - I just got lucky in one run and decided to keep the video. Well, enjoy. I will try to fight bosses from sequels of this great game but for now... I'll just play some easier games.))
I haven't played Vampire Night in a good long time. Wish these games would get a rerelease onto PC. Sure, mouse firing isn't as fun as the lightguns, but these games are genuinely fun aside.

Curien really did mean it when he said the magician was his masterpiece.The Magician is kinda like an amalgamation of all the good qualities of the previous bosses: Chariot: armored Hanged man: Not armored but hard to hit due to its ability to fly Hermit: going back to the armored concept but now able to hurl projectiles. Magician: Armored, hard to hit, able to fly and hurl multiple projectiles at once
Man this brings back memories, i used to play it every chance i get at the arcade and i play through the game with only 1 credit, not a single loss. some people in the arcade would be watching like "woah, this guy wont die!" and huddle around me. those were good times....... i miss the arcades.....

It's a bit randomised but the blue dashes are always his first phase, red dashes second, and that last attack that he throws fireballs up in the sky goes for the last quarter of his life

You know for something this old it, gives me the idea of an anime because of the old sound effects, style of gore, and the characters. It just reminds me the 80s kind of anime. There was a PC port of the first game but it's a big graphical downgrade. Not worth looking into despite have a few extra game modes.

This is one of the games that marked my life! Also, the "The House of the Dead" franchise is one of my favorites!
I really like the sequence during the Hangedman fight where he knocks you off the balcony and you hang on to the edge of the roof and still fighting.
