Im not sure about other characters, but as a main childe ever since 1.1 I can assure you that Polar Star is far better than his C1. His C1 is actually pretty pointless, taking a few time to learn how to play him properly, you basically wont ever struggle with cd and jf you stay in his stance for too long, the cd will be still be long with C1, basically an Abyss reset if youre doing abyss… for whales… his C1 is even worse since C6 straight up make negates it by reseting the cd. Besides, polar star is just a REALLY good weapon overall, the 33% crit is clutch and the atk buff is huge, tho its perfect for Childe, it can be comfortably used in other bow characters not only for statstick
I do like using c1 but its not a major increase in actual damage. I would have gone for his weapon but I got his c1 on his first rerun after getting him when he was released before polar star wasn't a thing yet.
Would have to agree with you on that. I would probably have agreed to get C1 over weapon back when the weapon banner had 2 Fate Points, but now that the weapon costs just as much - even a little less bc of lower guarantee on the weapon banner - I'd definitely say go for the weapon first.

I think the HuTao C1 is a bit iffy comfort wise 100% But her best team doesn’t involve her charged attack and instead uses plunges. So if you really really want to get the most from her her weapon would be better you just need a cloud retainer
@@niderk The damage logs are out there. This is already really well documented. Her plunge attack just has a higher damage scaling it for the most part boils down to this. A C1R1 HuTao can about match a HuTao C0R1 plunging but still be off by 20k damage while for the most part this is negligible you not only loose out on the benifit of HuTao having AoE it’s just a higher cost team. If you want to factor in “you need a xianyun” it would be the same cost for a team but that’s still a free extra 5 star that you can use. Look I’m going to be honest any one can randomly say “oh my c2 HuTao does more damage” and flat out lie. Which I’ll say you’re probably not but I’m going off of my own numbers and most of the general players testings that have videos.

Im f2p, but im very selective about who i pull, idc about the meta or the theater, so i always pull who i like and make my teams based on that, so i would like to get venti (and his c1, if possible, as the three feathered arrows looks SUPER COOL) yelan's c1, nilou's weapon (i would need it for kirara, layla, nilou herself) i got very lucky and got alhaitham's weapon very early on, so for the sake of comfort i might pull for c1. I'm debating on neuvillette c1, but i think i like my team now (Layla as shielder, so i can also freeze enemies comfortably) so i might go for weapon instead
@@urgaguer i don't have furina and i don't have Charlotte either ☹️ i do really like layla's design and character though, so i'm happy to give her some use. My neuvi team is mostly just an excuse to use characters i really like that i wouldnt have much use for otherwise anyway
if youre happy with layla as your shielder, go for neuvi’s weapon. although his f2p options are still great on him (prototype amber, the new ash-graven drinking horn), tome will give you a lot more damage and it gives you energy as well. im gonna go for it next time it comes around

@@monikaaaax3 widsith is a great stat stick, but unless youre vaporizing with him, only one of the passive effects (elemental dmg bonus) benefits him. the atk bonus is completely useless, and the em buff only has the one use case. i find widsith frustrating to use cause you cant choose which effect it gives. it also has too much downtime imo
As Mualani C1 R1 owner I think her C1 more valuable than her R1 assuming you can get RoY or Widsith. Her C1 are quite big for her single target and AoE. With same team and set up, my 1st sharky bite can get 400k+ dmg and become 800k dmg at C1. Plus she spawn Jaws Shark at max bite stack to enemies that got bumped earlier. Very neat.
a few things: - childe’s weapon is wayyy better than his c1, his c1 (and pretty much all his cons aside from c3 and c5 ) are mostly useless - ganyu’s burst is actually a major part of her damage output due to the semi quadratic scaling people seem to just forget abt it bc it’s not big screenshot number, and amos while being solid for gansu, ironically enough it’s one of her worst 5 star weapons - hu tao:’s best teams now actually run xianyun, and since usually you jump to cancel charged attack for more damage with c0 hu tao, and you dash with c1, her c1 kinda became irrelevant if you’re using xianyun since you don’t use as much stamina and jump cancels with c0 already pair well with xianyun charged attack plunge play style - everlasting moon glow is almost worth it just for the fashion lmao but other than that c1 and r1 abt the same - nilou’s r1 is *massive* and nilou procs *very* few of the blooms on her team, usually the process the second hydro (not your dendritic characters don’t build full em on them) also even if nilou is proccing most of your blooms r1 would still be better because the hp for her is *huge*, it’s like a 20% damage increase for the ENTIRE TEAM in her bloom teams - nahida c1 is better especially since it gets u closer to c2
Baizhu cons are actually priceless bc he starts to heal enough even if you build him dps and if you build him dps he provides decent additional damage. I just use him as my main source of damage in the abyss.
Yeah, I definitely prefer his weapon over C1. Childe's contellations are pretty bad overall when compared to other characters. And I'm saying that as somebody who have Childe at C6. It's like 2-3 years ago now that I went for his C6. I did it because he's my favorite character, and he still is to this day.
Ayato c1 is better than the weapon due to his obscene amount of other usable options both f2p and otherwise. His AoE in group scenarios makes the condition very easy to meet. It's noticeable when you use him as a driver, it's noticeable when bossing. You also claimed that Nilou's weapon is better if Dendro is procing the blooms. This is NEVER true. You consume Dendro much faster resulting in far less blooms if you do that. There are several guides on youtube that go into more detail about this interaction. Her c1 is very nice quality of life but is not better than her weapon. Lastly Mualani's c1 is vastly superior to her weapon. Widsith has a good chance of being useful. Her f2p options are great. C1 on a nuking unit giving bonus dmg on the first shark bite is insane dps
Not always, while it makes building a character easier in most cases and is usually their BIS, there are some cases where alternatives can do well, like for Claymore characters with Serpent Spine.

The issue with the catch is that it is heavily wanted by multiple characters and isn't actually that good on her outside of the higher ER than Fav. Also I feel like C1 is over valued, but it makes way for C2/C3 which are her biggest buffs and for most units in a rotation, you don't need both press/hold versions at the same time as you are unlikely to be doing skill/burst and NA/CA/Plunge dmg at the same time. Even still, for Ayaka, you can do a rotation, do a press, and then when you burst with Ayaka, you can press skill again and it'll have full uptime to buff Ayaka's burst. I know that this is different with Wrizzley, just an example Lastly, for other units, it's a good option for atk scalers, although often not the best, but can be used and often valued over other 4 star options. For instance it's better than catch on Raiden, better than 4 stars on Arle, a great choice on Rosaria/Xiao and 2nd best for Emilie

You touched on it with others, but for Albedo if you dont have his event weapon, you can go for Chiori/Xilonen weapon way more than his C1

I don't know if you have Furina, but I do and run C1 Neuvillette, Furina, and Charlotte in a team so there's freezes

well we all know that klee signature weapon is actually 4stars, which is Dodoco Tales.
Kinich weapon is between 20% to 33% for burning and burgeon teams so idk but his C1 is also good cause mobility and damage.
