Rockets powered by combusting ethyl alcohol

Chief Scientist Carl Nelson demonstrates how to launch a rocket using combustable vapors from ethyl alcohol.
A small amount of alcohol is put inside a two liter bottle. The liquid is removed and the vapors are ignited. As the vapors burn the air inside the bottle heats up and expands. As the air rushes out the end of the bottle, the bottle is propelled forward rapidly.

Now that's not something special like seriously some vodkas can be 75 percent ethanol

I did it with my isopropyl alcohol and a gas lighter

ethanol is better it has a lower boiling point and it evaporate faster and burn better
