Wow Javier. You're so helpful!!! I use the shortcuts that I've picked up from you on this and previous videos: ripple delete Command W & Q, Command K (per your modification recommendation) F and Command T (Javier style). I'm brand new to editing and TH-cam so you're years of experience are a big help/shortcut for me!!!
Added a different color for each digit on the keyboard, in order to mark different shots sections to be more appealing and easy to find visually, and M, Ctrl + LMB to extend a Marker. Keeps the timeline way more intelligible for me. As for the ones you mentioned, definitely Ripple Delete and Add Edit changed my editing pace. But the one which blew my mind was Ctrl + ~. I couldnt believe that you actually can go full screen in premiere since you mentioned it xD Gosh, I have been enlightened. Glad to see that you have a collaboration with Adobe. Keep up the good work and thanks for the useful and finessed content!
man if anyone ever deserved the sponsor from Adobe it's you Javier! Easily the best tutorials on premiere I've ever seen. You helped me so much with your R3D workflow videos.
I've been watching these tutorials for ages but it's taken me ages to get around to implementing them. I've just done an 8 minute video that took me 12 hours to edit so enough is enough and I've just nailed my keyboards shortcuts and am creating add edit and ripple delete shortcut habits! Thanks so much
this is for anyone who want to have a word document to surve as a reminder F = add edit q-w are cut to market left and right T = ripple delete D = select clip at play head, alt will allow you to select 1 clip, either video or audio, then use arrow keys to move up or down Option and click and drag will duplicate clip Shift control E = enable clip to see other beneath it + - keys are to zoom in and out, backlash key is to zoom out to fit, and double press \\ will take you back to setpoint To make window take up entire screen, select window and press ` key , the one beneath the esc key. To make control monitor to go full screen hit control plus ` key Shift 1 is project window, shift 5 is effect control window, shift 7 is effects window
Thanks for all your great work. I recently changed up some shortcuts due to your videos, been shaving me a lot of time. You explain things very well, I Appreciate it!!
FIRST! Nah but seriously, delete all gaps was my first video from you and I always come back for more. your starting to be the PiXimperfect for Premiere
adobe, keep hiring javier, he's the reason we love premiere pro. i put all my keyboard shortcuts to my left hand so i dont have to move it, like competitive gaming lmao
iam from india and found your channel your way of explaination is tooo good unlike other english channel love from india i will pray to god whatever u want to achieve BIG hUGS
FYI, your big "wind-up" to plug Adobe max was expected to be a like & subscribe pitch, so as you were saying, "If you're finding these tips helpful so far..." I *immediately* hit the buttons. It was a very "Shut up and take my money" moment. Great work.
Quick question! I'm a newbie with Premier Pro. Learning the keyboard shortcut for Ripple Delete on a Mac. Everyone teaches it as Shift-Delete. It will not work on my mac. I stumbled onto using Option Delete, this works! Why is my system different???
Javier! Hope you can help. Pretty new to Premier and wondering if you have a video or let me know how i can set up where i can everything that premier is rendering or caches or storing what ever it does in my external hard drive instead of my internal Mac storage. Thank you!!! Or if anyone else seen this can point me to the right video let me know
Great shortcuts here- thank you! One question: any ideas how I could use one (or two) shortcuts to razor an in/out point on the timeline AND move that sliced section up a track. This is how I edit interviews but it's tedious to: razor in, razor out, select, drag up. Usually interviews are two cameras so it's actually moving the sliced section up two tracks.
@@JavierMercedes OK, gotta start implementing that nudge action. Also set "X" to be "add edits to all tracks" which saves me from bouncing back and forth between razor and selection tool. I wonder if premiere has macro function that would allow me to do all of this in one keystroke... maybe that's more of an Avid thing. Anyway, thanks for the quick reply and all the super legit content!
Dude, I have a macro keypad separate for my left hand for shortcuts. Might sound crazy but it speeds up the process a lot. it's the cooler master control pad.
Is there a way to sync my keyboard shortcut and all adobe settings between two computers? I'm logged into the same account but I keep having to recreate the same settings on each computer. Thanks!
Hey Javier. I was wondering if you could show a video on how to burn your HD and 4k video files onto DVDs. I know it's old fashion in some ways. But I have had clients request a hard copy of there HD and 4k fottage and would love to learn how to do it.
Amazing, thank you so much for sharing, liked and subscribe 👌🏻 also it would be awesome if you could make a video about deleting silences automatically
HI Javier!! Love your channel.... Wondering if you've ever dealt with this (nightmare) before... we are doing a charity spot for Organ Transplant donation.... and it's basically a lady walking and talking to camera ... We used a slider and some camera pans on and off her to make it more interesting and to cover edits because she needed her lines to be fed to her. Ugh! The client (after approving the script for 'walking talking') says the movements are not their style... and can we just have her standing there talking. Ahhhhhhhhh.... It's like a reverse Ken Burns. I'm sure your audience would love to know a solution here... but I''ve tried masking... Key frames... granted I'm intermediate here. So in the spirit of charity, any thoughts on this? Big thanks!

Add edit (control K). Helps me keep my edits tight, glad to see it in this video.

The q and w shortcuts save me so much time! Thanks for sharing them in a previous video
Your tutorials are another level. Thank you.
100%
Learned yet more from one of your videos. Thanks.
I'm glad to see you over 100K subscribers. You're content is definitely worth it.
this is for anyone who want to have a word document to surve as a reminder
F = add edit
q-w are cut to market left and right
T = ripple delete
D = select clip at play head, alt will allow you to select 1 clip, either video or audio, then use arrow keys to move up or down
Option and click and drag will duplicate clip
Shift control E = enable clip to see other beneath it
+ - keys are to zoom in and out, backlash key is to zoom out to fit, and double press \\ will take you back to setpoint
To make window take up entire screen, select window and press ` key , the one beneath the esc key.
To make control monitor to go full screen hit control plus ` key
Shift 1 is project window, shift 5 is effect control window, shift 7 is effects window
F is not “add edit” unless you specifically map it to be that. Just for anyone who didn’t map the video. Otherwise, F is “Find clip in project.”
I love videos like this because I can actually apply these to Resolve. Thank you so much!!
Glad the concepts help Bax, thanks for watching!
@@JavierMercedes Hi, what email can I send you a business offer?
this guy is my new favorite youtuber for Premier Pro , Love from Toronto
Thanks for all your great work. I recently changed up some shortcuts due to your videos, been shaving me a lot of time. You explain things very well, I Appreciate it!!
I use "X" for -add edit- and "Shift+X" for -ripple delete- This has sped up my workflow SO much since starting.
oooo shift x is very intuitive, I like it!
Man, so many time-saving shortcuts here that I didn't know about! Gonna start using these right away. Thanks for sharing bud.

Grand Master Javier, how do i cut a clip into 5 second segments or cut a clip into equal 5 second segments in premier pro?
Grand Master Javier :)
Always saving me, even six months later after start editing on a Mac. Thanks once again!
The zoom out/in to timeline will safe so much life time (from now on) 😱
What is the the shortcut that puts the clip from the source monitor onto the timeline??? It's small but would really help. Thanks!
Insert (comma key) , and overwrite (period key)
@@JavierMercedes thank you sooo much! It’s a small tidbit, but saves me from clicking back and fourth to the source monitor to drag it! Huge!

Quick question! I'm a newbie with Premier Pro. Learning the keyboard shortcut for Ripple Delete on a Mac. Everyone teaches it as Shift-Delete. It will not work on my mac. I stumbled onto using Option Delete, this works! Why is my system different???
Thank you lot Mr Javier!
thanks, exactly what i needed right now
Great video, helpful, once again!
Awesome tutorial! Thanks man, it helps alot!
Great - thank you!
ripple delete only works, when you work in just one layer. but, if you work in multiple layers, then it will ripple every layers clip and make a mass
is there one to apply warp stabilizer?!
Thanks man!
Thank u so much dude.
Javier....just curious. Why don't you use the type tool very often?
Javier! Hope you can help. How to nudge the entire track with the track header (The V1 V2 thing with the solo and mute button etc) to an upper layer order ?
Thank you Javier, it's so much helpfull
Wow! Thank you! This is a very useful video! It's a great job!
Glad it can help Mike!

I do the same. Add edit (cmd+k) + select clip at playhead (you will have to set this I think) + and nudge up (opt + arrow up).
That is how I do it.

7:15 omg that's a life safer watching a clip at full screen using control tilde :) thank you Sir.
Thank you great vid!!
Thank you so much'❤❤❤❤❤❤
How can i put a shortcut for a effect? For example, i used many times warp stabilizer, it will be awesome to press 1 key and Boom! , how can i do it?
Dude, I have a macro keypad separate for my left hand for shortcuts. Might sound crazy but it speeds up the process a lot. it's the cooler master control pad.
Amazing Thanks. Unfortunately it's not working on my keyboard. Tried everything.
6:05 The Enable shortcut seems to be SHIFT + E not CTRL (or command) +SHIFT + E
Is there a way to sync my keyboard shortcut and all adobe settings between two computers? I'm logged into the same account but I keep having to recreate the same settings on each computer. Thanks!
I don't know how automatically synching but you can export your presets amd keyword shortcuts as a file and them import them on another computer
question how do you have the picture show above the video timeline
Thank you
Very nice ❤
nahhhhhhhh, this actually 3-5X-ing my work speed on short form, I owe you one
Perfect!

Hey Javier, why'd you steal the chipmunks dawg
I made “add edit” the s key because that’s what you use in sony vegas to split and “add edit” sounds redundant to me
Ripple Delete just changed the world of editing for me! - Noob Editor XD
awesome video
İ assigned to ripple trim w and q but it is'nt happening.What should i do.i am stuck
Thank u!! :)
More information than I got from paid education.
Bro I went to film school and I learned 1000x more on TH-cam than I ever did in school.
Nice video
Great!

When I had my AP in Portuguese it used to show shortcuts like "Razor Tool (C)". Now that it is in English it doesn't show it anymore... 😟
