That audio fade trick is SOOOO helpful! I've been wanting a feature like that for years. I never even knew it was starring me in the face the whole time. The markers tip is also a big help. Some of my time lines get huge and cluttered. Thanks for the great info!
I've got an even better one for ya - it's a plug in called Excalibur and with it you can create multiple audio transitions of different lengths and then assign keyboard shortcuts to them so you don't have to keep changing the default transition duration all the time. Only downside is that it's a paid plugin. But it's well worth the money.
The "enlarge" Marker option is sooo helpful! I didn't know it and I always marked my chapters with "start..." and "end...". Thank you for this great tip!
I KNEW A LOT OF THESE! However, thank YOU SO MUCH FOR THE REMINDER! It's crazy that even after 3 decades, it is still TRUE that if you don't use it, you lose it!
I clicked on this video thinking oh more of the same short cuts….but ended the video saying wow I learned soooo much!! Thank you for thinking outside of the box! ❤️
You're NOT losing quality by using scale to frame size, that's not exact. There's no downscaling otherwise you would get a calcul time everytime you drop a clip on timeline. This option allow you to replace later medias by anything else with a different size and will keep position/scale effect applied corectly cause the value of scale would be unchanged. Its a very useful option actually, for example : you do some editing with shutterstock previews wich are very small sized, applying effect on scale and position cause you know its gonna be 4k later. So you would drop them on timeline using "scale to frame size", this will allow you to simply replace medias with the HQ 4k footages later and keeping all your effects applied properly. On the other hand "set to scale frame" changes the value of scale settings to let you replace later by media with the same size as original.
Helpful as always also i am a skillshare member since a year now and all the basics and advance i learned for premier pro is from your master classes ! thank you for such easy explanation as always !
I'm having so many issues with Premiere not finding fonts recently and just randomly messing them up, even though they are activated via Creative Cloud. Sometimes I can change them in the effects window, sometimes it works in the essential graphics window instead, sometimes neither. So the font replacement trick is a HUGE lifesaver for me, thank you so much! I've spent way too much time trying to find every single text layer (in about 10 hours of footage) and replacing it by hand.
Hi! Do you reccomend "pancake editing?" I have never seen that before and I am tempted to change my workflow, but I don't know if it is worth it or not.
I think will worth when you already have a editing style and you will use over and over. So just drag and drop everyting from previous project into latest project without changing the screen.
Anyone knows how to this "effect controls filtering" also in After Effects? 02:08 Effect controls filter: Keyframe Would be great to filter all "properties" that have keyframes there too...
Dude, your videos are the best, yours are the rare that I hit the bell for all now. I worked decades managing IT sales engineering teams, so I'm somewhat of a bit nerd.. and I can't think of any content provider who gives so much real productivity help. Your work is awesome. I signed up for Envato Elements trial few days ago. Do you like Story blocks better?
that Storyblocks plugin really has me debating on getting it! When using their stock footage (especially audio, does Storyblocks recognize your youtube account or do you have to manually upload the Copyright license?)
Just a friendly reminder: you would need the most expensive subscription to get the plugin, its not included with all the subscriptions, I dont have any idea why they do that!. The Copyright from Storyblocks works very well, you just need to add your TH-cam channel ID to your Storyblocks account and will manage the copyrights issues automatically. If you still have a copyright issue you can contact Storyblocks and they will solve it in 24 hs, that was a positive experience that I had recently.
Loving the advice - but can't seem to get the marker trick to work on mac - holding alt and left clicking as suggested but seems to just bring up the hand tool As typing this just found this out - this doesnt work if you have the in and out point enabled on the timeline
I love all your videos, it's concise, fast and easy to understand. Helped me with my edits so much. Thank you and more power to your channel! Much appreciated!
I have taken your class on skills share last year then today TH-cam randomly recommended me to watch this video. Looks like the Internet Gods are at work
This was very helpful,i was looking for chapter marker thing for like year and i was not able to find it because i don't know what to call it and my journey is finally over thanks to you 🤩
about number 6: u can also copy the transition, select all other transition spots with command shift and then paste it this way you dont have to change the duration in settings every time :D
You are literally my new favorite creator!! I just found your page and can’t stop watching. You make learning so entertaining and I can’t wait to try these tips! 🤯🤯 thank you and keep creating! 🔥
This is very helpful... To me, especially the pancake technique cause I'm vlog editor and often time looking for the right track one by one is very time consuming...
Hey! Did you not switch up “set to frame size” with “scale to frame size”? I’m pretty sure “scale” scales up/ down the image, as its name says. Set frame size doesn’t scale the image, and you can only zoom in on the scaled one without losing quality. Please let me know if I’m wrong.
When I click 'M' a marker is placed on the video and audio tracks themselves. Not up top by the playhead. This didn't always happen. Is there something I need to turn on or a toggle? Thanks!
I'd love to see you guys making more content for Davince Resolve. It's a free editor that quite literally anyone can have access to it. Whereas Premier is locked behind a paywall. Your content is literally GOLD! Yall are awesome.
Number 5 was so big brain. I've done the first part before where i put raw clips into a seperate sequence but making them both visible simultaneously to drag clips is super smart. Thanks Jordy :D Edit: Pancake editing!!! :DDD
Soooooo love your videos! I've been editing with Premiere since the early days, and I'm finding more and more ways to be more efficient through your videos. THANK YOU!!!
Great video! The adjustable marker does not work for me for some reason Holding alt and trying to drag the marker does not do anything ? My Premere version is 2022
Что делать если импорт формата видео mkv не загружается? Ну невозможно просто работать в Premiere pro если она не поддерживает формат mkv . А конвертация одного видео свыше 1 ГИГАБАЙТА занимает очень многовремени.
following along with the pancake tutorial on my setup creates a different result. the preview window disappears altogether and I have only 2 workspaces stacked on top of eachother, the bin with all my footage and the sequence. when I try and scrub through the screen switches to the preview window and I can no longer see my sequence :/
Also, one more question... Maybe you guys could make a video with tips on pacing for a TH-cam video. My videos don't get much retention time and I'd like help with that.
bro, how do you even get the text to show up on top of the clips you drag in? that would be sooooo helpful!!! mine are blank I have to view it to know what it is... I need to do sequences more as well.... im such a noob who has made well over 1,000 videos on adobe lol
Thank you for sharing this amazing tutorial! I learned so much from it and I’m excited to apply these tricks to my own projects. Keep up the great work!
Holy shit. I just realized I'm an a$$hole for watching all these videos yet I never subscribed... until now. DAMN that was a lot of good info packed into a fast, engaging video.
Another great and helpful video! But I have a big question... Premier got rid of the legacy title. It was nice because if you had one graphic across multiple videos you could just change the one and it automatically changes the rest. How can we do that now? Please help!!

You actually can edit after effects compositions after you render and replace them. You just need to right-click and hit restore unrendered.
that Storyblocks plugin really has me debating on getting it! When using their stock footage (especially audio, does Storyblocks recognize your youtube account or do you have to manually upload the Copyright license?)

@@workoholekhh7542 Yep
Question: If I have 1080p footage and wanting to put it in 4k sequence, which is better, Scale to Frame or Set to Frame? Thanks.
Upsample it with something like topaz video AI if possible, it will be way better than doing it within Premiere.
Hello , can we customize PROGRAM window size in premire pro? Availabe size are FIT, 100,75,50,25,10. I want 40, can I get that?
