I really like the focus on theming and atmosphere we're seeing from Cedar Fair. They don't need to imitate Disney or Universal but adding these kind of details can really elevate the experience. Kings Island has always done a decent job with that anyway but this looks like they're really beefing things up. I'd love to see the new coasters throughout the chain get the presentation we see on Copperhead Strike.
Adventure Express got 2 big improvements:
1: Padded seats!
2: Theming.

Cedar Point is big for thoosies but Kings Island is just plain a better place to spend a day. Best seasonal park in the US.
Diamondback is my most ridden coaster ever so I’m glad it got a fresh coat of paint! Looks so much better 🐍

The Southern Yellow Overlook sign is because Son of Beast was Southern Yellow Pine, and the eyes are another little hint!
The reference seems really funny considering KI sued the company that supplied the wood along with RCCA 😂
The treasure map in the top left corner on Adventure Express that says Southern Yellow Overlook shows where the new RMC Son Of Beast will go. Look at Google Earth historical view.
I fully agree that KI is the best park in the chain. It’s my overall favorite amusement park!

@@wrestlingandamusementparkl7789 I visited Kings Island last semester during haunt and I was flabbergasted by how awesome the park was at night. Kings Island definitely has Cedar Point beat for the night time experience.

I was around 15 years old when a rain storm came through. Diamondback’s crew proceeded to do the chicken dance and goofy jokes! Always will remember!
This was a great day at the park, except for being a little hot. I was the socially-inept guy in the green Mystic shirt that greeted you. It was nice seeing you two.
The new details in Adventure Port are great. Even us old fogey KI fans are happy about it and hoping its a sign of improvements down the road (action zone retheme, please)
Went today and the lines were non-existent❤ this is my home park, went all the time as a kid and this is my first year as a passholder with a family. Such a great place
I live an hour away from Cedar Point and I'd rather go to Kings Island any day. It's more chill there, it doesn't get half the crowds that Cedar Point does, and overall just has a better atmosphere. We can argue Cedar Point has a better coaster lineup, but King's Island coaster lineup is also really solid and I feel provides more unique experiences compared to Cedar Point.
Such a blessing to only live a 45 minute drive away from Kings Island. People love to bash Ohio, but we have Cedar Point and Kings Island. Very underrated state.

Kings Island everyday over cedar point. Its a mix between theming and thrill rides. Its more like universal but better because its homey and cozy.
Wow, Kings Island really tripled down on the Easter eggs! Never thought they'd reference the Last Night Ride On Adventure Express, but they did for us the enthusiasts. Would be awesome if Cedar Fair finally rethemes the Backlot Stunt Coasters. The old Paramount Italian job retheming was hit-or-miss, and each of these coasters deserves a unique theme for their park.
I was at season pass holder preview day back in the early spring and that new area wasn't open at all yet. I'm excited to get back up there soon and check it all out now (it looks amazing). Thanks for the great video and glad you guys had fun at my awesome home park! =)

I'm glad we can still get the Skyline Chili there. After Cedar Point, our summer road trip will end with Kings Island. Save the best for the last. I would've never said that a few years ago, but I'm starting to understand.

Cedar Fair needs to spread that love to Kings Dominion.
Kings Dominion got a lot of love last year with Jungle X-Pedition! And this years new restaurant + Grizzly refurb is a huge win!
KI is my homepark, I love the place, some people got stuck midair on Windseeker, I felt so bad for them.

I went opening day so alot of that is new. For the stuff showing in the Effiel tower they did that for haunt last year
It would be nice to see them spread the wealth, but they are trying to get the top parks sorted first. I am one of those people who would rather be at KI over CP sometimes. Hell... its 1 1/2 hours to CP for me, and 4 to KI. You would think that KI trips would be like 1 or 2 a year. Nope. Was in KI 42 times last year, and CP 36.

@@Leafsgaming. wonderland has gotten any new big rollercoasters since Yukon striker so there is no reason for him to come back. I am sure he will when we get a new big one in 2025 or 2027

Skyline Chili is GREAT! ..if you're very old and can longer eat salt, or pepper, or basically anything with flavor ever again. I can't wait until so old that I'll enjoy eating Skyline Chili yep!
Surprised you didn't mention the single use fast lanes, because that is definitely a first first for cedar fair (of course assuming they were available when you went)

How good is the part any water rides?
My kinda dream plan for kings island is that after they put something (amazing) in the vortex plot that they replace son of beast station and use up the rest or a lot of the left over land from SOB for a major ride paying tribute to it. With this would come a heavy re theme of action zone. For me when I went to kings island last year action zone feels really lack luster compared to the rest of the park and due to the gap with sob station area bat feels isolated and out of the way to get on. With the new theming rout cedar fair is taking action zing just doesn’t hold up. With bat and banshee I feel like a horror or monster theme could work with Invertago eventually getting a light retheme since it’s be the easiest and least controversial to change to fit the theme. (If it’s even still there)

I just went 4 days ago , drove almost 4 hours to get there and literally didn’t notice any of this expect the sign at the front about it opening “this summer” so maybe it hadn’t opened yet ?

Chick Fil A has hired a VP of DEI recently and has stopped donating to organizations that don't support same sex marriage. They're not as opposed to same sex marriage as they were in 2012. In fact there have been threats to boycott CFA by conservatives because of the addition of a DEI department. I wouldn't call them anti-gay but neutral on the issue.
