I have seen banelings survived much longer than a marine in HeroMarine's game.

At 19:08 Clem's siege tank targeted his own supply depot in anticipation of a drop, and this was immediately after Gabe's attacks on multiple fronts. I love how active Clem plays, even after being constantly pressured he still had enough composure to do the little things like that.
Why?
@@alejandrootero8894 there is a short delay in between the ai noticing an enemy unit and targeting them. With the corner of that main base being a safe spot away from other tank fire and the marines having medivac support, heromarine's marines could drop and hold out to kill some marines or deal damage to the supply depots before clem got other units to properly clean up the weakened units. In firing at the depot clem could've killed some dropped marines early leaving an easy cleanup
Nah dude Clem's good but not god. He was just trying to target fire the Medivacs with his Marines, the tank is just in the same control group. Those are misclicks.
@@leicawhat3490 But you have to actually a+click your own unit/structure in order to attack it. Target firing an enemy unit is just a single click.
@@littlerave86 Clem was probably a-clicking his units near the medivacs and accidentally hit the depot.

I have a theory behind Gabes play style. You touched on in the video right when gabe lost his 22 scvs he had the army advantage, Clem had the Econ advantage. My theory is that as the skill level has gone up and people get better at macro there’s the predominant belief that the economic advantage is more desirable leading to the macro players like Serral. In response to this I think we’ll see more people play more aggressive and do more all ins to negate the eco advantage. They can’t win in the longrun if you beat them first.
This doesn't work against a player that has sufficient skill (serral comes to mind) and anticipates this. Serral is especially good at scouting his opponent all the time, this truly sets him apart from many other players (at least it did in the past) so unless you can overpower him, he will translate his economic lead into an advantagous position because you either fail to kill him and also can't deal enough damage.
Serral being an example of a good macro player here, not himself.

So, in the lore, an scv is actually bigger (well, the same size but bulkier) than a goliath walker. But try to map balance something that size against something like a protoss probe that's about the size of a modern motorcycle. They could literally return minerals as fast as they turn around, but they'd never get to the back patches, so in game they just make all workers the same size.

Curious, why do they both put the first depot down after finishing it?
I guess they consider the ease of mobility/pathing a bigger upside than having to look out for units trying to enter the base and react in time to raise it again. Considering how much APM/focus they have "to spare" in the early game, it kind of makes sense to use it for small optimizations like that.

6:01 Hold on a second, Interference Matrix can disable PSIONIC units? can a Raven disable Queens, Infestors, Vipers and Ghost? it may not be the best use of the ability but how come in 10 years i never ever saw this been use on does units?

TvT is my favorite but only in high levelplay.
ZvZ: You want to play Hydra - Lurker - Viper but to get there you start with Lings, transition into Roach - Ravager to transition into your final build because going for it right away is waaaaaaay to costly and slow.
PvP: You want to play everything that flies but to get there you start with Warpgate, transition into bowling for strikes into your final build because going for it right away is waaaaaaay to costly and slow.
TvT: You want to play Marines - Medivac - Tanks with air support ... so you start with a "don't die to stupid stuff" start that is *very* short and you go for it because screw those other races.
I also love how the final army comb in TvT will have such high unit variety because every unit (aside from Marines) are so niche in what they do, it's just that what they do they do so well that they are necessary.
if everyone goes that "secret games" way, the game dies!
I feel like Clem is like Reynor before (and kinda still is). The counter to Serral. But other matchups are still not like guaranteed wins that you'd expect from being able to for the most part beat Serral. Really weird.

TvT is hell. Im plat so im by no means good but the amount of percise movements is insane. On top of having several different types of units
TvT from bronze to plat can be summed up as "marines and tanks vs marines and tanks". TvT in the masters and above leagues then suddenly becomes "micro 8 hotkeys of units and productions simultaneously as if you have six arms and 3 heads" in the most insanely massive skill ceiling increase imaginable.
