  • This is part #4 Build Seed Starting Racks of Outdoor Seed Starting Area.
Nature sows directly outdoors. Many times, plants sown directly outdoors are more vigorous and healthier. Also It's often easier as well and that is why we built an outdoor seed starting area.
Journey with us on our video series where we layout and built the best seed starting outside in a contained environment where seedlings are less prone to pests and diseases.

You said it yourself. You've taken your time and worked very hard. I have an idea: I think you should publish your notebooks in a book, or series of books. I am absolutely serious. I would buy them all. I'd bet that a whole lot of people would! Word would spread like wildfire!

great job Hollis, just a suggestion next time make your 2x2 overhang about 12" longer on each end, this way your roof would extend more on the sides and provide additional rain protection coming in from the sides.

Gentle reminder to put your mask on first or you'll be no good for helping us out here in virtual land. 🙂 I love the mention of no more seedlings inside the house. Hello, why did you change the seed starting rack design from 4 years ago? The top had more light coming through at high noon and the afternoon light is blocked solid with the sheet of wood. Previously you had a white cloth on the backside.

I decided not to build one. It is so warm where we live I can work around it

I love this video . I do have a question? Do you sit or turn your seed racks a certain way like North, South, east, or west and if so which way would you do it?
