@@steves2167I work in it and we do on disk, on site, off site. So you'd have a local backup on disk (probably not feasible on a USB stick or have much of a point to doing this, typically used if someone breaks something on the server but not the server itself), on site we use tapes but this would be your external ssd (please don't use a hdd if your moving around), off site this is your cloud backup, it's slow to dl lots of data from the cloud so if the local backup has been nuked also then cloud comes in to save the day. We never use the cloud backup it's only there for if the office got hit by a bomb. I'm sure you can see how the different levels of backups are helpful and which you would want to use from this.
Yea hard drive dies, a lot but what are the chances that it does at the same time that you lose your library, you should just backup in every possible ways
Great advice! I ran into the situation of the CDjs at a club and no space for my controller lmao. Thankfully the other DJ that was going to be playing later that night was there and gave me a quick tutorial and I was able to play my music. When it was time for him to play his computer wouldn't connect to the CDJs. He then asked if he could connect his USB to my computer and of course I let him after he helped me out.
this is the best advice for beginner djs. its amazing how you poured your experience in one video. extremely helpful video. now am gonna learn how to scratch also. loving your videos
i completely understand what your saying broo, that's why I clicked on video, for instance I just started out 2 days ago now bought myself a ddjFLX4 but I can ONLY mix hardstyle cos its the only genre I have mostly listened to, but in order to actually succeed as a DJ especially in today's age you MUST be able to mix loads of genres
Cee B man I really appreciate your knowledge on DJing. I'm just starting out and trying to learn all that can and I enjoy listening to your post they're very helpful and a confidence booster. Keep doing what you are doing. Be bless!
I catch one on thing here 😂😂 there is not Day I don’t creat my songs at home before going to club 😂 some years ago I dont do that but over 1year now am doing it creating your playlist at home is the best
You pretty much covered everything pretty well, unfortunatley people are going out & buying a cheap controller & getting a first gig then asking on forums what music should I play & faking it till they make it approach.
Finally someone that tells it how it is. Well done for sharing!!❤
Cee B you the G fr thanks so much for your content

Thank you, I loved your video. I’m a beginner DJ, at 48 yo with 2 young kids. Do you think it is viable to be a *mostly* daytime/ early evenings Dj?
Excellent Advice... Much thanks.

The physical health and mental health aspect was a solid add on to this list.
honest truth 👍
How do DJ's smoothly transition from the opening DJ to the 2nd set DJ when they do the swap with their own laptops?
there are controllers with 2 usb ports so the dj leaving can use 1 channel and the dj coming the 2nd
Any at the step before they get a controller? I am.
