    Thank you for another wonderful video. Lovely location and wonderful birds. Also enjoying you using the small bores, the 28 being my current favorite.

    Wonderful! I got my first taste of the 28 last year with a loaner from a friend. Went out and bought one for myself and have been having great success with it. Thank you again for another excellent film.

      The 28 is a little gem and well worth a day out on some decent birds !! There’s birds for this fantastic little gauge on any shoot 👍

    What stunning topography. There’s something about the fragrance of a good cigar gently wafting in the air of a cold, frosty and still shoot day 👌The beauty of the 28 bore being the cherry on the top. What truly beautiful day shown so well 👏🏻👏🏻

    A beautiful part of the country, it knows how to challenge people! And cars!
    Great to see you out with the 28 bore Gamebore 5s, just the job for those testing birds. Keep up the good work!

    Really beautiful day there Dave. Those icy hillsides were no joke, glad everyone traversed them intact! Superb shooting with the small bore guns...that crossing bird at 13:31 on the last drive was stone dead in the air, you couldn't have hit it harder with a 12. Fantastic shoot with a great line of guns in really lovely countryside. Thanks for this one and best regards as always, Ed.

      Cheers Ed
      It was a great day out, with some hairy moments, treacherous underfoot on two of the drives! Poor cameraman had a tough time manoeuvring round the shooting peg (trying to get footage of birds I was shooting at) it was very icy.

    Your channel is my favorite hunting channel on youtube
    You showcase the whole hunting experience and that's what makes your videos so special
    I have a question about this particular shoot, weren't you shooting birds that were too far away from the effective range of your cartridge?
    I have never shot a .28 gauge but the range seemed so far away

    • @DaveCarrieShooting
      @DaveCarrieShooting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 28gauge is a capable calibre with the correct load! But I agree one can be tempted to stretch too far, although I shot some good birds on occasions I felt under gunned.
      Thanks for your input it is much appreciated

    Love those small bore days. Great shooting Dave. It would be nice to hear you compare 12 bore vs. 28 bore shooting.

    Great video. I've been using a 28 bore for the last 15 years. In your opinion what will you use when lead is fazed out? I load all my own shell and last year started loading TSS.
    I done a few Videos on using it. I think its the best, I would like to know your ideas on going none toxic?

    • @stevenlord782
      @stevenlord782 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've seen your videos Alan. What load & powder do you use & what is the rough cost of loading with tss please.

    • @alanrobinson3549
      @alanrobinson3549 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@stevenlord782 Hi Steve,
      The load is 20gram no 9s the powder is Lil' Gun by Hodgdon. There is a gas seal, 15mm cork with a cut back TPS wade. the cost per shell is £1.50. its not cheap but i personal think its the best compared to what you pay for Bismuth. This year I'm using nothing else. I think it make you select your shots so you do not waste any shell !!!. Plus I'm experimenting with a bio wade. Mixing the load with No9s and 10s to get a better pattern. still waiting for test results from proof house, then I'm off to pattern test them. Hoping they will be good so i will try and do a video to show the results.
      Regards
      Alan

      @Alan Robinson thanks for that Alan & all the best for coming season. I've subscribed to your channel & will be waiting to see the results. Be nice to show the actual loading of a shell & the patterning on paper etc. All the best.

    What do these gentlemen do for a living to afford this type of lifestyle??? Range Rovers, private hunt club in the countryside, shotguns costing thousands, 28 gauge…. A very expensive shotgun round…. These guys are “bucked up” with cash. Good for them!

  • @cesarebenanti3156
