Did 38 Spesh really charge $38.00 for the Gunsmoke album (on the “Even” platform?) The entire album is 16min 47seconds in length with 8 tracks and 38 Spesh charged fans $38.00 to buy his album? Smdh.
I listen and support 38 Spesh and the entire Trust label. However, this album just seems like a quick cash grab since its only 16min 47secs long with 8 tracks. The best track (Randolph & Mortimer ft. Ransom) is only 1min 11 seconds long (I consider Ransom in my Top 5 list so I was definitely expecting more from this track)…smdh.
C'mon Spesh, don't do your fans like this.
I expect a lot of 38 Spesh "fans,stans,and yes man's" to be bias and get defensive and try to rationalize and defend this type of behavior , so just know this is my humble opinion and I’ll continue to support 38 Spesh and the entire Trust label. I just don’t want to feel cheated.
Royce 5’9 dropped “The Heaven Experience - EP” and that EP is 6 tracks - 26min 14secs in length.
I’m making the comparison because I like both 38 Spesh and Royce 5’9, but I like 38 Spesh’s music a little more.

I agree 100%! Like you and dufflebag ran only got a minute of bars together!? Had to be throwaway verses from someone else feature that didn't pay or something. Wish they had Kendrick Lamar work ethic when it came to ep. This mf was an amazon sample that you can hear a few minutes before you buy it. I'm cool spending the 38. Spesh is my guy from his production to music. But like you said charging 38 for such minimal effort meh.
I love Spesh, but agree with what you're saying. I also love Ransom but I'm disappointed with Randolph & Mortimer. I've never been a fan of back-to-back quick verses. Then, Spesh did the same thing with the Che Noir track that is sequenced immediately after. This definitely feels like a cash grab, considering the $38 pre-release. Spesh said he's dropping another joint this year with Conway, which I hope has more substance. I'm waiting for a really solid Spesh and Ransom album, or any Ran release(s) in 2023. Ran's the best artist in the game right now for my taste, perhaps second to Nas, who has been killing it these last few years.

The album is only 16min 47seconds in length,....so having it on "repeat" means nothing. If the album was longer - having it on "repeat" would mean something. Many people's attention span is getting shorter, so most people lack the attention span to listen to an album for longer than 16mins. This is my humble opinion. Don't get get defensive.

@@Ether1501 If it was longer, his fans would listen longer. If you repeat one song, you still have it on repeat regardless of the length. That being said, analytics indicate that it's easier for fans to consume 30 minute projects, not so much for attention spans, but by general routine. Spesh doesn't make music to dance to; he makes music to vibe, workout, and get through 30 minutes cycles. Beyond Belief is a perfect album in terms of length and substance. This isn't an album; it's just a short release of songs. He said he's dropping another project with Conway later this year. Hopefully, that project will have more length.
