I really enjoyed the Familiar! I feel like it maybe needed to be 80 pages longer, or be a duology. I LOVE Bardugo’s character work, and the relationship between Luzia, Valentina & Luzia’s aunt, Hualit (none of that is a spoiler for anyone reading this!) is so entertaining and compelling!
I completely agree with you about the ending of The Familiar. It ended up bringing down my reading experience because it felt very rushed in the last 15% or so of the book, but the atmosphere and historical aspects were amazing.
I did like this but I think I would have enjoyed the book more if I hadn't known that it was written by Leigh Bardugo. My expectations were SO high because Six Of Crows is my favorite book
I would because even though it's non-spoiler, there is a lot of information about the book and the characters. If I haven't read the books yet I usually fast forward through some of it just because I like going into my books not knowing much. Then after I read the book I'll go back and watch the whole thing.
I was so on the fence about this book as I disliked the majority of the Shadow and Bone series she wrote outside of Six of crows. But now I really want to try it. Thanks!
It fell a little flat for me and kind of left me wanting more. I had the feeling it was building up to something that we didn’t really see. I wanted to see more of Luzia’s power, see her go all out, but that wasn’t shown to us.
I’m a huge fan of the author and own all her books, but this just missed the mark for me, couldn’t connect with the characters and the story was just ok.
im LOVING how the red hair is naturally fading, this color really suits her vibe!

The past few videos your hair color has really stood out, it's so flattering with your skin tone.

Currently reading The Familiar and I just love the whole aesthetic and vibes of the story so far! Superb and amazing so far. 🖤
Those muffins looked delicious! Glad you liked The Familiar, I'm hoping to read it in the next few months
I definitely enjoyed it. It's a solid read. But it just didn't hit like I thought it was going to. Can't put my finger on why :(
I feel like it needed to be long like Jonathan Strange
@@PeruseProject omg yes, it was too short for how much potential the plot had to expand :(
Your bed sheets are gorgeous!!! They look so comfy
Can’t wait to read this one!! After loving the Six of Crows duology, I want to read all her books haha and this one sounds great! ❤️
OMG THE TAKE OUT FOOD LOOKED SO GOOD
This one is coming up very soon for me! Thanks for sharing your thoughts :) And those muffins looked so tasty!

I loved this book! Her relationship with her aunt is so complex and it hurt to see their ending 💔
So lucky you're going to Japan. I went years and years ago, and want to go back so bad. I am a Japan nerd.
I keep looking for your vlog on the last Fitz and the Fool book... maybe you are working your way through it slowly?
She is
She is still reading it!😊

I know it's fiction but as a Spaniard I'm pretty intrigued about the historical documentation Leigh did! High hopes as always with her books.
It’s pretty average
You should read Ludd-in-the-Mist! I think you would REALLY love it
Gonna save this one for October I think :)
Just bought the Familiar, not sure if I should read it first and then watch this video

I’ll be in Japan in July!!
I enjoyed it but felt like something was missing it :( like the plot didn't get going until over 60% and I was left wanting more. Great vlog !
Also just as an fyi her name is Luzia (loo-ZEE-ah), not Luiza (loo-WEE-za) :p
thank you!

I need to get a copy of the familiar 😤
This book is sooooo beautiful but I'm not super interested in the storyline. But I think I need it anyway and will give it a try
Did you like the new TS album?
