First of all, THE LAST NINJA is - and always will be - one of my favorite games on the Commodore 64 😺👍🕹️. And i still own and play the original hardwares of the Commodore 64 (tapes / disks / cartridges) and Amiga 500 😺👍🕹️. Second of all, this video deserves a big retrospective like 👍 from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮 😺👍🕹️. And third of all... Welcome back 😺👍🕹️.
Absolutely gigantic. I have ALL the reforms and am so looking forward to everything that is yet to come. I know it's difficult with you. A Aboluter FAN
When Matt says mega hit, he is not joking. The last ninja sold over 4 million copies. That's roughly 1/4th of all commodore 64's ever sold. It's practically completely unheard of. And oh, Great tune btw Matt, hope you are doing well. Eagerly awaiting your next project to finish. ❤
First of all, congrats Matt! You took us back to those years. Bless your hands and work. I have a question for you. I've been looking for the Last Ninja 2 Street Loader Remake version for a long time. You actually did this about 3 years ago (or maybe even older). But later you removed this remake. Are you considering reinstalling? Or how can I get this version? I would really apreciate if you help.
Thanks. If you're talking about the preview version on Soundcloud of LN2 Street but the in game track, then I didn't finish that version and went with a different production of it instead. The loader for that level only existed as the final version on Reformation Last Ninja 2 album which is available for download or CD on 6581records.com
Wading through countless remixes of old sid tunes and amiga, I always got disappointed. The melodies were there but they lacked the soul and hart of the original. You my dear sir, nailed it. Do you only do sid's? I still listen to a lot of Amiga music done with protracker, 4 channels and samples. All time favourite is main theme of Pinball fantasies and Turrican2. Have found some remixes, but the same problem, lacking of heart and soul. Will definitely buy your collection. Thank you for an awesome job. ❤
Please, do a 2sid version of your Last Ninja 2 C64 Soundtrack. Would be awesome a Last Ninja 2 Soundtrack using 2 Sids and 6 channels in Stereo as if the C64 had 2 Sid chips inside. You already have 3 channels done xD. Would be nice as a Kickstarter campaign. Thanks for your awesome work.
No one can cover your songs as well as you can. Now I see it was not just the magic of SID, it just sounds good when you arrange it. It would have sounded good if it was a road cone and a staircase instead of SID. And everyone would take the lead and make music with that.
When this Video from FF XIV Fan Medley played this th-cam.com/video/h2s1NrBQjFM/w-d-xo.html Suddenly my Mind play this 1:32 instand. So The Last Ninja Melody continue to live even today
U R back! You should continue. Some Golden Axe, Gianna Sisters, th-cam.com/video/6bIpXvt0wxo/w-d-xo.html or R-Type: th-cam.com/video/9Vmoj8xzqkk/w-d-xo.html covers. Inspiration: th-cam.com/video/c62KvyKoCtY/w-d-xo.html
Its out of tune towards the end which is sorta off-putting, style choice?.. great vibes though... The A.I images just ain't complimenting this game well enough, bit half-arsed.
brings back so many memories
What an intro!!! I can feel the vibration I had when I was a kid in my pyjamas playing with my c64!
Fantastic Matt Gray !
This world needs more music of your's, man.
Wow Matt, have been a long time admirer of your work ever since my C64 days.
Goosebumps like back in the days 🙂
.... Great!
....great Score and great Remake! It was such a great Time! Thx from Germany!❤
Great reminder to preorder Reformation 5 next week... i still keep replaying the awesome LN2, Turbo OutRun, and R-Type mixes especially.

Now that hits the spot, memory refreshed, excellent.
Shivers and goose bumps every time
You honour the memory of Ben perfectly. Well done sir.
not from Ben... Anthony Lees is the author :)
The "Wilderness Loader" was by Anthony Lees. That said, it certainly honors both of them :)
Thank you so much! Superb work, as always.
Love this remix!
Goosebumps everytime! Great remix! 👍
Amazing memories of 1980s with commodore 64 computer games ! 😎
@watonemillion you are living in a dream 🤔😄

Hey, who owns the rights to your Last Ninja 2 Soundtrack?
Me.
@@MattGrayC64 Thank you.
What ever happen to reformation 5 that was meant to be coming out in 2022? £20 down the drain??? Matt Grey??
