I have 2 of these beautiful beasties. My boy once escaped from my dad's garden, He was reported as been seen in 3 different Postal codes on Facebook as we scoured the Area by car and by foot for 2 hours before we finally drove back to my house to see him sat out the front with a big smile on his face
My shiba girl did exactly the same thing. She somehow manages to run out every week but only once got “lost”. After driving around for hours we returned home and she was sat on the steps outside our house. Just like a cat!
I had a Shiba Inu named Cody. He was 13 when he passed a year ago and I am still not over losing him. I loved that dog so much. He was a loving, sensitive and easy to train shiba. The are escape artists so have to keep them leashed. They will do anything for a treat. 🥰
This is very interesting! Especially hearing the the first known litter in the United States in 1979. That there was little known about them and they were added to the American Kennel club registry until 1992. I given a Shiba Inu by a friend around 1983. At that time she was about 2 years old. Around 1989 I asked my veterinarian what her breed was because I never knew. He said he wasn't sure either, but probably a Terrior mix. She was a wonderful dog! Very intelligent, loyal and loving. I had her 18 years, so yes they live a long life and with no health issues. Even when older she remained active and still had the attitude of a young dog. Sadly we lost her in 1999. All those years I believed she was a mixed breed. It wasn't until 2011 I saw a woman walking a dog that was her twin. I was driving at the time so I pulled over and approached the woman and asked her what her dogs breed was and she said "a Shiba Inu" a couple months later I saw a couple at a park with the same type of dog. Again, these people told me "Shiba Inu!" When I returned home I got on my computer and researched Shiba Inu and watched dozens of videos! It was like seeing my baby alive again! Identical looks, personality and mannerisms! I was so happy to finally know what breed she was! I never felt she was a mixed breed because of her beautifully defined looks, build and coloring but I thought, if a Vet said she's mixed than she must be. Now I'm wondering if my 'Dominique' was one of the puppies from the first known litter in the US in 1979 or a close descendant! She was my Love💕💕💕
this is the first time I read an entire comment about someone losing their dog and actually cried this is so sweet I can't even imagine not knowing what breed and not thinking that you'd ever see them again and then finally being able to make peace when he finally find out something that important I'm glad you did
Yeah. Shiba is difficult...in this way: you buy a dog but get a Fox mixed cat. Ofc you Will feel that this dog is difficult. But IF you open a Book about the breed before you buy it, and not only go by the looks, it is One of the best dogs you can get. I vad samojed, Dalmatian, Australian silky terrier and bearded collie...and now a shiba inu. From now on, I Will only have shiba inu 😄😍😍🤩🥰
Torsten Best mine is so spoile did we go shopping or were out it just like licks my foot if it thinks a dog is ugly and I’m like don’t do it please cause I don’t even know if those dogs know our language
My shiba would be perfect but if he is near a chicken and able to reach it. There will be a dead chicken. The other negative is, he only "comes here" if he feels like it. However he Never ever chews on anything. Never digs. And never jumps the fence. Genetically his breeder shouldn't have :( His allergies are severe the itching is absolutely maddening. If anyone has any suggestions the medications are no longer working.
I just adopted a stray Shiba and I expected the worst but he is the perfect dog, he was already well trained and is super smart. He was the only dog at the orphanage that calmly sat and waited to be picked. They said he came in their already pretty clean compared to the other dogs, meaning he didn’t use the bathroom in his kennel. THESE ARE THE BEST PUPS
I have 2 rescue dogs. They are older and will pass away soon (I try not to think about it). At that point I would consider a Shiba. Like you, I would want to rescue a stray/shelter one. You are very lucky!
How big is an adult shiba? In pounds? You never say. They look like they're the size of chiawawas in your videos. Is that their size or are they bigger? I know I spelled chauwawa wrong.
I have both a red male and female that I and my husband purchased while living in Okinawa. These two have been our constant companions since. They have traveled back to the states to live in California briefly and then traveled across country back home to Georgia and to visit family in North Carolina. They are an extremely clean breed and are intelligent enough that they easily housebreak and teach themselves to communicate with you. For example my female taught herself to bring me her food bowl when she is hungry and drop it at your feet. Our male comes and grabs my shirt if he has to go potty or is tattling on someone coming to the door. They also can smell catnip and enjoy it. However I would not suggest this dog for a family with small children. The Shiba can be territorial at times to include “their chosen human”. Socialization is extremely important for this breed but you must always be alert because as I said they are territorial. My spouse and I truly love this breed and cannot imagine our lives without them.
When I moved out of my parents home at the age of 20, I quickly realized that I needed some company and adopted a rescued 1 year old Shiba Inu named Maddie. Highly intelligent, beautiful, playful and full of joy, she made my life better every single day for 16 years. She was constantly complimented by passerby's on routine walks in the park and never met a cat she didn't like (odd, I know). She died on February 3rd, 2017 and I miss her everyday. She suffered from pretty severe dementia in her last few months but other than that she was incredibly healthy her entire life. Shiba Inu is a great breed for those fitting of their character and needs. Edit: I guess I was fortunate. Maddie never chewed, clawed or destroyed anything, not once! She was also very obedient. She learned "stay" within about four attempts and to this day I'm still not quite sure how she grasped the concept so quickly. I know I'm biased but I've had a few dogs throughout my life and she was easily the smartest and most obedient dog I've had.
I've owned purebred dogs and pound puppies, and I have to say the best dog I've ever had was a Lab/Rottie mix we found at the local animal shelter. Fluke grew up with my kids and lived 16 years. He would greet humans with a "smile", often "talked" and would always alert us to visitors on the property. Even though he barked, his tail gave away his real intentions (it was more of a greeting). His wagging tail could clear the coffee table in our living room. I miss that boy! While it's fun to look at purebred dogs online, please consider there are thousands of unwanted animals, younger and older, at shelters across the US. There is a good chance you may find your next "Best Friend" at one of them!
I have a Shiba/ German Shepherd mix. He is a perfect size for apartment living, and every time I take him for a walk, he garners many compliments about his appearance. People often say he looks like a fox, but I've also heard people compare him to a coyote or a small wolf. He tends to be very aloof among strangers, but very loving with family members. Like his Japanese ancestors, he loves to chase small game, but he's yet to catch one.
My son Kevin is a Shiba and he is absolutely untrainable. He's a good boy, though, and he's a big part of why I got help for my eating disorder! He likes to cuddle and bark at squirrels.
sweaty socks untrainable? You just haven’t found what drives him! Many shibas are food driven, while some are not. Find what he’s motivated for and use it as a reward when he completes tasks you give him. Help him understand that by completing said tasks, that he will receive said reward. Good luck!
My "son" is trainable, aaaand very smart. He learns to understand commands, but will he obey? Maybe, maybe not. Depends on whats in it for him. This might be the case for you too 😁 Training is not what they like to use their intelligence. They rather use it to make escape plans 🙄 Also, their attention span is short. Over Repeating doesnt work, the dog gets bored easily. I have been fooled by a dog a couple of times 😂😂😂 its me who is learning. But thats ok, hes also a very good boy and my friend 💙
My shiba is the love of my life. Yes, they are sneaky. Yes, they are VERY stubborn. But they have so much personality, extremely goofy, are super loyal, protective, absolutely beautiful dogs, a sturdy yet portable size, and are very in tune with their family's emotions.
Ive owned 3 shibas i love them so much. Once you go shiba you never go back. Rip Rocky my handsome boy. Lady is with my family and Belle is our current- our pretty girl.
I have a Shiba Inu, you are correct in saying, big dog in a small body😝😝💕 she’s so smart, but stubborn. Loyal and loves playing with my daughter’s dogs . I spoil her so much, she is such a princess now☺️
I have a Shiba and he's a very good boy. He rips up napkins sometimes or chews on a corner st the house every once in a while but generally he's well behaved and very loving.
Our Shiba Inu has been easy to train and when away for a few hours, she does not disturb anything. She loves to run and can outrun most dogs. Very happy, was friendly as a puppy with everyone, now almost 2 years old pretty much ignores other people unless she knows them and likes kids unless too many approach her. She shows off her skills playing soccer, doing tricks and enjoys other Shiba Inu dogs and will at times check out other dogs but if they grow at her, she will ignore them. She could easily hurt another dog but will walk away from a fight with a care less attitude. Best dog breed I have had and I have raised and trained many.
Mine loves home so I guess I’m blessed because she’s never tried to escape💕 She potty trained quickly and has never soiled my home. She’s extremely intelligent but stubborn so we had a trainer help us teach her commands that she would obey. She’s never been heavily destructive to my furniture save one time when my mother in-law stayed for a month with her two dachshunds. She was still a puppy and got wild because she had a blast with them and bit up my cushion on my love seat and when she was teething she chewed on a corner of my coffee table. She does have anxiety issues though and sometimes needs a few days to decompress if something triggers it. Other than that, I wouldn’t trade her for any other breed! Best dog we ever owned and she rarely barks except when a stranger walks in our door she’s unsure of. She is the sweetest, most gentle dog I’ve ever owned! She’s awesome!😁
I have a 14yr old Shiba inu, what an amazing dog she is. Where I go she goes riding in the car is her favorite past time, the other past time is her reminding other dogs that she rules even at their house. This little female is my shadow I love her like I've never loved before, she is Daddy's little Deva and is very partial to men. If you want a life time 4 legged partner that is smart, agile and protective of her owner then this is the dog for you. One thing I can and will you. Out of all of the dogs that I have ever had The SHIBA INU IS HANDS DOWN THE SMARTEST DOG THAT I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF OWNING. SO GET YOU A SHIBA YOU WONT BE SORRY.......
We have a Shiba and she is definitely a Hudini, she managed to escape thru a slightly opened bedroom window, fell two floors down and broke her back leg in two places!! Definitely need to keep them entertained and excerised they don't like being bored or alone. However she is beautiful well mannered dog and very sociable with other dogs We love her
I have 2 shibas. They are so loving, loyal, protective, stubborn, sneaky, difficult, and demanding. But with patience and a firm effort, they are wonderful pets and companions.
I enjoyed this video. The narrator and the little lady's voices were very pleasant. Shiba's and Akita's are very beautiful dogs and I enjoy watching videos about them. Thanks.
I have a little shiba girl and she truly is such a handful sometimes 😄 she's so stubborn, acts like a spoiled human child most of the time, is extremely smart and knows exactly what we want from her but if she doesn't feel like doing it, she just won't 😁 but that's exactly why we love her ❤
I have 2 shibas, one white and one red. My latest adoption is an absolute brat! She’s a stubborn escape artist. She just looks at me like I’m stupid. My other shiba is absolutely perfect, he listens, took to training very well and doesn’t try to escape. I love both of them. But goodness.
Our Shibas, Max and Sally are great dogs! Sally is a natural 32 pound female. Max is 60 pounds, and the biggest Shiba I've ever seen. They are the best of friends. We love them soooo much!
My little shiba thinks she owns me. Not affectionate, extremely independent, likes to be by herself, but surprisingly loves other dogs and loves to play. I love my dumb little weirdo
I saw this breed on an RV vlogger’s TH-cam channel and fell in love! So now I’m researching training one to do service dog tasks... We have 5 pups... 2 mini pins ages both are 14 1 Chuweenie age 11 1 chihuahua age 7 (we had 2 chihuahuas but our little female passed away October 1, 2019 and we don’t know what her cause of death was) 1 chocolate lab age 5 And they all live with my hubz and I in a 30’ motorhome. When had 7 dogs in 20017 but our elderly German shepherd was euthanized due to serious health problems... she was 17. But we didn’t have 7 dogs in our camper and now our motorhome which we live in full-time.
I've gotten my shiba to stay in my yard. He'll still wander off every once in a while but I know he stays close. It's nice to live in a rural forested area with not so many cars driving through. He loves it! Definitely an outside dog also, and I'd say probably the most loyal.
The more I study about the Shiba, Inu, the more I know I want one. I had a Maine Coone. She was the love of my life. It was hard when I lost her, but I think when I am ready for a dog I would want a Shiba, because the Shiba is a Maine Coone in a dog body, in my opinion.
my shiba lady was an escape artist as she was found and brought to a shelter. but now she is well trained to wait at all open doors. they are clever and sneaky (and full of sass!) but also have their reward system ;P
As long as your consistent and well composed they make great dogs. Keep in mind this should not be your first dog. I trained dogs as a kid all the way up to early adult and was able to train and maintain my shibe. He is the most behaved dog I've ever been around, off leash and leashed. He is the absolute best dog ever ( kuma, my shibe)
Isami Yuzuriha I have prevented a couple of my friends from adopting/buying shibas because I have researched the breed very well. I am also not going to own one until I am 100% ready to do so and I know that will not be for another couple of years. I’ve grown up around several difficult breeds and am aware animals are very much family also.
My first Shiba was an escape artist. My second Shiba Inu which happens to be his brother same mom and dad was not like that at all. I never thought I could say this but we could actually trust him off leash. Yoshi is the best although I miss my Neeko dearly. ✨
I love my foxy little man. He is strong willed and demands attention from passersby. The only dog I have owned that was potty trained before he was weened.
My Shiba has gotten very old and settled down to be less of a rascal. He used to bite the gate to the backyard to the point where he escaped when he was younger. He’s a very intelligent dog and outsmarts our black lab constantly when fighting for toys. He’s also very affectionate and he even learned to go back home when he gets out if I tell him to. Fantastic dogs!
These are great dogs but cannot be stereotyped considering each dog has a very broad unique personality, within this breed. My guy friend had one and it was very cat like. It didn't crave attention, she was well behaved but different.
Number 3 is Sooooooo true. I let my Shiba off the leash in a gated dog park so she can play with other dogs.... It's damn near impossible to grab her to put her back on the lease when it's time to go.... I had to buy a full body harness with a handle to help.
recently came into a shiba/border collie mix pup at 5 months old, KitKat matches just about everything on this list! He likes to chase squirrels and birds, but his most hated rivals are the large herd of deer that live in our neighborhood! no kidding on the houdini tricks, he managed to ooze through our storm door today octopus-style before leading me on a merry chase through the bramble patch between us and our neighbors
I rescued my girl 5 years ago. I didnt even know what breed she was. Now i have love and respect for shiba inus. My girl has a high prey drive and ive never met a dog so dedicated to escaping. Even in her older years now 7-8 yrs old she is in great health and trys to test new ways to get out. Great video. ❤
We just got a Shiba Inu puppy, our little Mochi. She is the sweetest pup and so far pretty easy. We are aware of how stubborn they can be so we have started training her early. But we just adore our little pup. 💜
My dog is a 5 year old Black and Tan purebred Shiba Inu. His name is Sagan after Carl Sagan, scientist. He's very spoiled and independent but loves affection and playing. He will often pick up the toy with which he wants to play and bring it over to you. He loves taking walks and jumping in the snow. He knows how to wag his tail on command. He did have some resource guarding issues but it's something I've been able to work out.
SHYBA Doorley you have to be firm and consistent and correct unwanted behavior immediately and praise wanted behavior. I used a "time out" method where when Sagan did something he wasn't supposed to or wasn't listening or following commmds. Or started growling, id put him in time out for 5-30 min and I'd tell him in a firm voice "YOURE IN TIME OUT!" And he'd have to follow my command "sit, stay, lie down, etc" before being able to come out. Sometimes he's act like he didn't hear me but eventually he got the idea. I also used a shock/stimulation collar for aggression or serious things that I felt needed to be corrected or when out on a walk and I needed to keep him out of or away from dangerous things. Most of all, regardless of how much it seems like it's not working, it takes time with these dogs. When I brought my shock collar into the picture, my Sagan straightened up almost immediately but each dog is different. I honestly didn't and don't use it often but Sagan knows where he is on the totem pole and knows that I'm the Alpha Dog and that I don't back down but that I love him to death. I never fail to let him know that I love him beyond words. It'll take time but you won't regret it.
Shiba Inu are very wise, high-ranked and unbridled. He has a personality similar to cats, prefers himself to spend time alone, and only spoils when he wants it. He is territorial, stubborn, and persistent. She is expressive and obedient to her master who sells her love. Originally, it is a companion (hunting dog) of matagi (Japanese hunter), and is brave enough to face even a bear. It is a very dangerous dog if you do not discipline and communicate regularly.
We are in the process of rescuing an adult Shiba. I've owned dogs before, including an Akita/ English Mastiff mix breed, but this will be my first time with a Shiba. I am optimistic though and know that no matter what I am going to assure that our dog gets a better life than what they had before they were given up or seized (A lot of the Shibas at the rescues we are looking at were commercial breeding dogs and will need a lot of readjustment to life as a happy pooch)
My Shiba ~ Nari ~ is my first dog ever. She is really smart and loving, to humans mostly, but if given the opportunity, she wil run...and run...and run until she gets tired. Only then will she allow you to catch her. But i still love her anyways! 🦊😙
VKS Dub my Shiba is my first dog too! I’m so jealous though when you said she is loving mostly to humans. Was that something that came natural?! My Shiba is almost 2 yrs now and I’ve had since 10 weeks. No matter how much we have company over or go to the park he will never allow people to get close to him without trying to run away or tucking his tail🙁
So far my six month old Shiba Inu, Emerald is pretty good at staying close to me and not leaving my yard. Not at all like my escape artist Siberian Husky. She is very protective and suspicious of people she don’t know. She loves playing with my Husky but backs away from other large dogs at the park. She loves to play with smaller dogs. I got her when she was three months old so training was a lot easier than my husky who was already nine months when I got her. Emerald has her moments when she won’t listen but for the most part she listens pretty well and will come back when I call her. We are still working on the leave it command. She has gotten sit and lay down but hasn’t yet gotten stay. Work in progress.
You should also mention that they shed like crazy...blow their coats a few times yearly so you'll have clumps of hair everywhere...all over your house, your clothes. They also are famous for their Shiba Scream...once you hear that you'll never forget it!
I have a Texas mutt that looks just like a Shiba except with blue eyes, and about 35 -40 pounds People asked me if he is a Shiba. Your description of their personality is just like my Mutt.
Email or DM me if you're thinking about adopting a Shiba or need help altering his/her behavior! It's very true that the Shiba Inu is extremely intelligent breed, but don't mistake intelligence for trainability. Unlike a Border Collie, Shibas are very independent and stubborn. They are companion dogs and will typically "pick" one person as "theirs", usually by their interpretation of that persons dominance (if) in a household. This means that they are fiercely loyal to their companion, but intolerant with almost everyone else, including other cohabitants. My Shiba, Quincy, is from a shelter and was 5 months old when I adopted him (quite a rare find; a purebred puppy in a shelter!). He's almost 1 year old and is still not totally housebroken. Needless to say, I'm not the best trainer, but he's also still very young. However, they will learn what they love to do. Quincy, after countless hours, has been the best hunting dog I've ever had. Even my Berger Picard and brown Labrador paled in comparison to his discipline and agility in flushing prey. The breed needs a job and to always have something to do. Shibas are NOT lap dogs and should not be treated as such. Separation will result in extremely destructive behavior. I'm not joking when I say that Shiba Inu understand your intentions and almost read your mind. If you show the slightest weakness or insincerity in how you act and what you say, he'll flush you out like a toilet bowl. Overall, if you have the patience to train him and the respect the breed demands, the Shiba is a lifelong friend. My Shiba, Quincy, is the best dog I've ever had and from now on be the only breed I'll ever own. If you have small children or other pets, be cautious and serious with your dog to deter aggression from the start.
I guess it depends. Every dog have their own little personalities, they all have different dislikes and likes, they all have different energy levels even if they are from an active breed. I adopted a 2 year old husky and she is the laziest dog ever. I take her for walks 3 times a day and for me to get her to go for a walk I literally have to carry her outside the door. When the walks are over she lays on the ground refusing to go back in. Lol a very chilled, pompous dog but she is my little buddy. I adopted a Shibu and I absolutely adore him as well, super loyal, sweet. Loves to lay on his belly with legs out. Both my dogs have two things in common they equally love to hunt, and they loooove to sleep.
My Hanabi is a great dog. Shiba inus aren’t that difficult to train as long as you’re an active owner. They require exercise and boundaries. If you let this breed do as it pleases, you will be screwed. They love to stimulated, so new tricks and renewing commands daily is great for them. :)

I agree. Once you have a shiba, you'll never want another breed. They're such good actors too, especially at the vet 😃

That was one of the most repeated things I saw about them when doing research for this video. It seems they are very much escape artists.

How big is an adult shiba? In pounds? You never say. They look like they're the size of chiawawas in your videos. Is that their size or are they bigger? I know I spelled chauwawa wrong.
begging for likes and subs does not spark joy
If Shiba Inus are good escape artists does that mean by my yard has to have fences? Does that mean in parks they can never be left off leash?
Me too
I have both a red male and female that I and my husband purchased while living in Okinawa.
I'm so sorry for your losing Maddie. It's so hard to grief the passing of a dear friend-dog.
@T. Riley Roo, so sorry for your loss. I would love a young shiba inu with your Maddie's personality one day. Where did you get her?
How does a dog suffer from dementia?
Art Moss ❤❤❤
German shepherds have extremely high prey drives as well
I can't believe you didn't mention the famous Shiba Scream. The breed is well known for it.
Oh no, I don't know what a shiba scream sounds like!!! I've gotta look this up!!!
This might be the case for you too 😁
Training is not what they like to use their intelligence.
They rather use it to make escape plans 🙄
Also, their attention span is short.
Ive got 3 of these beauties. They're my 3 shibamigos. I adore this breed. Best breed ever.

Much excite
Hurray, did you get?
So jealous
I have a Shiba Inu, you are correct in saying, big dog in a small body😝😝💕 she’s so smart, but stubborn. Loyal and loves playing with my daughter’s dogs . I spoil her so much, she is such a princess now☺️
I have a Shiba and he's a very good boy. He rips up napkins sometimes or chews on a corner st the house every once in a while but generally he's well behaved and very loving.
W D ❤❤❤
SO GET YOU A SHIBA YOU WONT BE SORRY.......
my Shiba kid is 15kg. and he can run anywhere he pleases. he will always come back around. it's all about how much love and respect you give them.
We have a Shiba and she is definitely a Hudini, she managed to escape thru a slightly opened bedroom window, fell two floors down and broke her back leg in two places!! Definitely need to keep them entertained and excerised they don't like being bored or alone. However she is beautiful well mannered dog and very sociable with other dogs We love her
Great job Leroy and Rosie!
Caroline x Thank you very much 🙂
I have 2 shibas. They are so loving, loyal, protective, stubborn, sneaky, difficult, and demanding. But with patience and a firm effort, they are wonderful pets and companions.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for a very informative video I've been rescuing this breed for 16 years and it's good to see somebody get the facts straight
I enjoyed this video. The narrator and the little lady's voices were very pleasant. Shiba's and Akita's are very beautiful dogs and I enjoy watching videos about them. Thanks.
Thank you very much. We enjoy making them.
I have a little shiba girl and she truly is such a handful sometimes 😄 she's so stubborn, acts like a spoiled human child most of the time, is extremely smart and knows exactly what we want from her but if she doesn't feel like doing it, she just won't 😁 but that's exactly why we love her ❤
Caroline Klemensová ❤❤❤
I have a shiba Inu and I love him soooooo much! He always wants to play and just plops himself on your lap only when he wants. He is the cutest!
AM Productions ❤❤❤
Our Shibas, Max and Sally are great dogs! Sally is a natural 32 pound female. Max is 60 pounds, and the biggest Shiba I've ever seen. They are the best of friends. We love them soooo much!

Wow so informative.and kid voice soooooooo cute😍😍😍😍
I find the other guy cuter.
Awww keep doing more of these fun animal facts! They're so cute and informational!
BarelyDying Thank you very much :-)
Beautiful dog! Thank you for another great video.
Janus Loggins Thank you very much :-)
My little shiba thinks she owns me. Not affectionate, extremely independent, likes to be by herself, but surprisingly loves other dogs and loves to play. I love my dumb little weirdo
Thank you for making a fun video about the Shiba!
Aaron Moore Thank you very much 🙂
I saw this breed on an RV vlogger’s TH-cam channel and fell in love! So now I’m researching training one to do service dog tasks...
We have 5 pups...
2 mini pins ages both are 14
1 Chuweenie age 11
1 chihuahua age 7 (we had 2 chihuahuas but our little female passed away October 1, 2019 and we don’t know what her cause of death was)
1 chocolate lab age 5
And they all live with my hubz and I in a 30’ motorhome. When had 7 dogs in 20017 but our elderly German shepherd was euthanized due to serious health problems... she was 17. But we didn’t have 7 dogs in our camper and now our motorhome which we live in full-time.
First video I've watched by you great work keep doing what you are doing
I brought home my cream shiba early this year, he is the love of my life
Awesome! Congrats!
Samies
We got a cream Shiba in April and she is wonderful.
Where did you get it from ?
Please do rat terriers or my wife will leave me.
I’ve fallen in love with the breed a couple of years ago. Nothing negative about these puppers will prevent me from owning one.
Aleksandra Hrynkiewicz ❤❤❤
Isami Yuzuriha I have prevented a couple of my friends from adopting/buying shibas because I have researched the breed very well. I am also not going to own one until I am 100% ready to do so and I know that will not be for another couple of years. I’ve grown up around several difficult breeds and am aware animals are very much family also.
Good video, good job kid
My first Shiba was an escape artist. My second Shiba Inu which happens to be his brother same mom and dad was not like that at all. I never thought I could say this but we could actually trust him off leash. Yoshi is the best although I miss my Neeko dearly. ✨
@Jake Stockton will this be your first dog? If you don't mind me asking what did they say in regards to trying to steer you away.
Wow there sure are a lot of things you want me to join and subscribe to!
I love my foxy little man. He is strong willed and demands attention from passersby. The only dog I have owned that was potty trained before he was weened.
I love Shiba Inu dogs!
Emerald's Cabin ❤❤❤
These are great dogs but cannot be stereotyped considering each dog has a very broad unique personality, within this breed. My guy friend had one and it was very cat like. It didn't crave attention, she was well behaved but different.
aubrey Aubrey ❤❤❤
soooo cute!!!!
Number 3 is Sooooooo true. I let my Shiba off the leash in a gated dog park so she can play with other dogs.... It's damn near impossible to grab her to put her back on the lease when it's time to go.... I had to buy a full body harness with a handle to help.
My dog is a aspin but her skin looks lkke dalmaysyan (sorry for wront spelling) and his attitude looks like shiba inu
Roger Alston my problem too! I bought a vibration collar and I use that as his recall and it works great :)
recently came into a shiba/border collie mix pup at 5 months old, KitKat matches just about everything on this list! He likes to chase squirrels and birds, but his most hated rivals are the large herd of deer that live in our neighborhood! no kidding on the houdini tricks, he managed to ooze through our storm door today octopus-style before leading me on a merry chase through the bramble patch between us and our neighbors
Love!
Thanks for this cuz imma get one
Niamh Holmes ❤❤❤
I got a cream one myself. I’m pretty happy with the guy. He’s a constant ball of Energy.
Best dogs Ever😁😁
They always good bois, just need to gibs lots of nuggerz and bepis!
And girls
Adopting one tommorow! Any tips on helping him get along with my jack Russel 😬wish me luck!!!!
How's it going with the other dog? We can't seem to make our Shiba NOT hate and try to attack other dogs.
Dogecoin brought me here. Great info and awesome video!
Awesome! Thank you! I'll have to send Elon Musk a thank you note.... LOL
Lol! that would be perfect. I'll send him one too for the profits he helped me make with Doge lol. I can now actually afford a Shiba Inu 😬
I like Shiba Inu 💖💖
Dogs are all beautiful. But if you add natural beauty to it all, then they are unequaled creatures !
J Allen i love to know how you worked those issues out .I'm having some of the same problems.same age female named SHYBA.
Is the fur soft?
MC_Gold his fur is very soft. He's like a teddy bear so I call him "Bear Bear"
Thanks I am going to get him so i want to be prepeared
❤️❤️❤️
VKS Dub my Shiba is my first dog too! I’m so jealous though when you said she is loving mostly to humans. Was that something that came natural?! My Shiba is almost 2 yrs now and I’ve had since 10 weeks. No matter how much we have company over or go to the park he will never allow people to get close to him without trying to run away or tucking his tail🙁
I have a Shiba Inu, absolutly cute, intelligent, charming, affectionate) the best dogs in the World and not difficult
6:38 I was so confused by "kaani-i" ...😂 I think it was meant to be "Kan-i" 悍威
I love this breed. I have had four so far.
rickrb2007 ❤❤❤
Fraser’s puppy Kenji has his own yt channel and he’s an adorable shiba
Melanie Becker ❤❤❤
thx im getting a shiba inu at some point next year and i just wanted to do a bit of research
Awesome congrats
Shibes are stubborn but that's the reason we love them
Sunrise Spartan ❤❤❤
You should also mention that they shed like crazy...blow their coats a few times yearly so you'll have clumps of hair everywhere...all over your house, your clothes. They also are famous for their Shiba Scream...once you hear that you'll never forget it!
Ive always wanted a shiba.
The Infinity Doge ❤❤❤
I want one of these so badly. Never had a dog, but I really do

I love how 1/4 of these comments are shiro suki refrences
Aww your daughter is so cute. Shiba inu are the dog Teddy bears.
How are Shibas with other dogs? We'd like to get a puppy and wondering how the Shiba puppy will be with our current terrier.
Most Shibas hate other dogs and can't walk unleashed because they will try to attack.
Our Shiba loves loves loves any human. But just hates all other animals.
I have a Texas mutt that looks just like a Shiba except with blue eyes, and about 35 -40 pounds People asked me if he is a Shiba. Your description of their personality is just like my Mutt.
I got lucky my boy isn't an escape artist and is very obedient off the leash
Best dog on the planet
0:30 SHIBE MISSILE INBOUND TAKE COVER!
5:54 my shiba does the same exact thing lmao!
We have a Sheba named Soki and she is very stubborn but very loving.
My Hanabi is a great dog. Shiba inus aren’t that difficult to train as long as you’re an active owner. They require exercise and boundaries. If you let this breed do as it pleases, you will be screwed. They love to stimulated, so new tricks and renewing commands daily is great for them. :)
Arc City Angels ❤❤❤
Sorry for being 2 years late but my sister’s shiba is growing super healthy
