Haven’t been to Mitford Castle since I was a child the 1960s, recall having to clamber over barbed wire to get in - home made bows and arrows and me favva’s haversack with a tartan flask full of hot tea. Glad it’s unspoilt. Mebbies do Newminster Abbey sometime?

hi Damien canny nice spot that m8 loved the night pictures really nice with the stars should of messaged me I would have walked round and had a bit crack . I know the game keepers and the Mitford estates manager so would off been ok. the land owner just lives next to the church its such a nice place to visit.shame you got spotted. there used to be groups of lads drinking there so they put a stop to it beers cans all over fires ect.any way nice vid loved the sheep bit ha ha atb G

Well used steps. Is that from their time or use over the years I wonder. Ref:- The beer. I bought from Asda, Newton abbot, a can of "Disco Forklift Truck Mango Pale Ale" 5.1% vol. The can has a black top. Made by Drygate brewing of Glasgow. Nice, very strong tasting. Stig would like the sheep maybe lol. Brill video, thanks.

When the farmer arrived there was flossy and the camera tripod in full view, so might have thought I was making animal farm videos. The farmer may have been shocked at the thought of beastiality on their land and thats why she was being sheepish when asking me to leave.

The Gopro Hero7 white is probably the best option if you dont want to break the bank, its £118 compared to the Hero8 black at £330. The Hero7 white does Quad HD 2560 x 1440p ( 60 fps) Other resolutions - Full HD 1920 x 1080p - HD 1280 x 720p , waterproof to 10 meters and has basic image stabilization. You can buy those cheap Gopro copies but the video and audio quality isn't as good. Best to google or youtube comparisons as I'm not knowledgeable on everything out there. ATB.
That was my first attempt at light painting and capturing the stars with a DSLR camera. There was a fair amount of light polution but managed quite well and was pleased the way the pictures turned out. Thanks for watching.
great how you showed respect for our heritage with no fire, too often I've camped at a ancient site and mindless selfish folk have burnt the ground, which makes any future surveys problematic.

The farmer was nice about it and I said I would take all the beer cans other people has left, away. I should have been more stealthy as there was sheep and camera tripod in full view. Probably thought I was making beastiality videos and was being a bit sheepish when telling me to leave lol..

I camped there as a kid. We pitched the tent in the field below, when we woke up there was sheep everywhere surrounding the tent. Awesome place 👍
