I love to see a Daddy and son doing things together. Maybe I’m just a little jealous because my son doesn’t get to do things with his Dad. He doesn’t see him by his Dad’s choice. So sad I know. I’m thankful he has my Daddy however he is a little older and not up to some of these type of adventures. I try but I’m not quite male enough for him. Don’t get me wrong, he never complains. This is me talking. A Mama’s wish for their boy. Thank you Danny for being there for your boy this is what I’m getting to. The NuJol bottle has such an odd shape, but is very cool! And as you probably know by now it probably contained mineral oil. Thanks to Danny and Jake for taking you along!
You can fix the lip of that oriental cream bottle. Use a clear epoxy and you can form it to match the rest of the lip. Great bottle digging video. Can't wait to see you go fossil hunting again. Go get some!!!

Montana here, too. I live on an early 1900's homestead that burned during the 1910 fire, I have some late 1890's bottles that I found here, and one very nice gold hoop earring. But, yeah. Nothing earlier than about 1890.

Ive always wanted to prowl around some and look for stuff but they seem to all be on private property, or there's a lot more i just dont know about, which is probably the more likely answer😂 we were given some very old cast iron nails by a landowner in the Phillipsburg area that were from an 1870s silver mine but that is about the extent of my antique collection unfortunately. i bet those bottles of yours are very cool!

I have got to do some research and see of there are any known dump sites in Montana🤷 Montana had a miniscule population in that time(not really that much bigger now frankly😂) so they are so interspersed, and Montana is such a huge state that you would be very lucky to stumble on one without prior knowledge. Man would that be cool to find though!😄

@@WILDKYLE When you find a spot on the creek where you're finding good older stuff. Probe the whole area out and mark the hits with dead sticks. Make sure they're long enough to stick up out of the water. Take a four prong potato fork and gently dig them out. You never know you might find one of those $8,000 Coke Hutch bottles. Waterman's is my favorite. They still make pens and ink and they're super high-quality at pretty good prices. I used to use their fountain pens years ago and would buy their modern ink bottles! I have to say, though, I've never had any reason to rub soothing balm on my magnolia trees. Old people were weird! (make sure you use quotes around everything if you want to google anything about courad's oriental cream. just trust me.)

Those clay bottom creeks are a great place to use a probe. The really old stuff like blobs and hutches sink down over time.

The one piece of metal with the hook on it is 1/2 of a window lock. One would be mounted on the top pane and the other half mounted on the bottom pane

My father always used to use Hines honey and almond cream, only his bottles were very large.
