What’s the best superteam of all time? sprtspod.fox/WhatsWright_Ep06_pinned

This super team narrative is so overblown considering the fact that, the NBA has always had them. What would you call a team that had Kareem, Magic and James Worthy? Bird, Parrish and Kevin McHale and Dennis Johnson all of which are in the HOF. The Bad Boy Pistons were a super team. Some say that the Jordan Bulls were a super team. The fo fo fo Philadelphia 76ers with DR. J and Moses Malone were a super team. Fact is super teams exists in every sport on every level. High School, college and pro.

So true the difference is when the owners do it it’s building a team organically n when Lebron empowers players to do it he is stacking the deck smh 🤦🏾‍♂️ Lebron super team started cause Boston had a super team he couldn’t beat but ppl didn’t mind that then until he did it on his own n showed others how to…

@@NYSBGamal i agree with you 💯. I think it's all about optics. As you mentioned. When a GM builds a super team media and fans view that much differently than when players decide to join forces to win a championship. When players do it, its looks like they are trying to manipulate the system to their benefit.

I agree fully. However, I don't think the bulls ever had a super team. I think they had the perfect players around Jordan and Pippen. Pippen is a great player but I never saw him as a top 100 player of all time. Even when Jordan retired, pippens numbers did not go up in his prime. He stayed at 20ppg as the best player on the team. They had good shooters in Kukoc, Harper and 3 point specialist in Kerr or Paxton, Armstrong etc depending on what team in the 90s. Then Rodman for the rebounds and do all the dirty work kind of player. Before him, Horace Grant was a tough dude but I'm only 35 so I was kid and my best memories were the mid 90s bulls.

Almost all were drafted by the same team. That’s what they’re talking about usually

Brooklyn's case is unique cause we actually never saw them at their full potential. They barely played together.

Good point. Fact is the basketball super teams start in high school and in AAU basketball. In the state of New Jersey where I'm from. The prep and catholic schools dominate high school sports because all the best public school players leave and form super teams at the prep and catholic schools.

The 2 most talked about teams are currently 11th and 10 in the seeding 😂. Super teams can't afford any injuries due to lack of bench talent.

In the Giannis as MVP debate you gotta start reminding people, he took a massive pay cut last year that he absolutely didn’t have to, in order to keep other guys on the squad. He checks literally any box you can come up with.

Lebron lost in 2011 to the mavs
The nets traded for KG and Paul pierce they never made it out the first round
The lakers had Karl Malone Shaq & Kobe on the same team lost too the pistons
Point is yes the team might seem favored to win it all but that doesn’t mean the will win it all……

Miami is the only team right now out the east I'd take to beat the Bucks. CP3 is a top 10 player in the league if we just look at how he affects the game. Suns have a top 5 big man, 2 guard and point(but I don't have then beating the Bucks tho).

When the spurs won in 2014 they did not have a top 5 player in the league. They did have kawhi but for the entire playoffs he only averaged 14 Points and was still on the come up.
