These really are awesome. Being a kid who grew up during these times it truly is a walk through the past, and I love it. Recently my tastes have become more Retro than new. I've been watching movies like the Dirty Harry series, the Death Wish I-V series, many classics from the 70's, some 60's Eastwood Westerns, and a lot of the 70's action/adventures, Sci-Fi, comedies, and 80's movies of the same genres. Some older horror classics like Jaws never get old, National Lampoon's Vacation, Stripes, Apocalypse Now, the Godfather, and more. I've loved these movies since I've initially seen them. Now I get to see the commercials from that time too and see all the great stuff we had, saw, watched, and played with. These really are awesome videos.

OMG! You have a commercial from a part of my childhood I haven't seen in forever. Way back when we had this....SELECT TV. There was also HBO. Select TV was the first "cable" type network or movie type subscription Box. There was a key for parents, because at 10pm, Select TV's Nite🦉Owl🦉Theater came on.😀 If you were interested in "adult" type movies, they had them. Not XXX, or any hard-core porno movies, but enough where if you say 13-17 you were going YAHOOOO!!!! LOL. Wow I haven't seen or even thought about Select TV until I saw your channel. They weren't on 24/7. They came on at 7pm central time and played 2 regular movies, then one Nite🦉Owl🦉Movie, then on weekend maybe another naughty movie and one more mainstream movie. Usually went until 2-3am. During the week after the 10-11pm Nite🦉Owl🦉they'd have one more decent movie. Usually a good R-rated action or something violent or maybe gory. I can't remember 100% specifically their schedules but it was a great experience for a young boy...lol.

I'm not that person, but there's probably someone in the comments section who knows exactly who won that Best Actor In A Comedy Series Emmy without looking it up. I'm just going to guess Micheal J. Fox got it because he was big in the 80s.
27:32 - 27:38 That's kind of funny because Unisom is still around, while I've never heard of Sleepinal.

@ 7:39 - The Emmy winner was Fox, and he would win again the following year for 3 in a row.

Aaah memories.....Many of those older stores, Circuit City was a decent one. But the commercial? A 19" 📺TV📺 not the 70"🖥TV's🖥we know and love now...lol. As I said, some things that have "improved" have improved. It's too bad with all the epic TV's we have that movies coming from Hollywood have not also improved. Some yes, but most have followed the "political agendas" that these movements have been following. This is why I think the "Retro" craze has become so popular. I've started buying 60's & 70's 📺TV📺shows and movies. I've been getting into retro gaming. The Genesis, N64, SNES, NES, Sega Master System, etc. I've enjoyed older Clint Eastwood and Charles Bronson action adventures and westerns. The Dirty Harry series, EPIC! Another great series, Death Wish I-V, 10 to Midnight, the Mechanic, and some others, Walking Tall, and classics like Smokey and the Bandit, Cannonball Run, amazing 📺TV📺shows like M*A*S*H, Emergency, and some corny shows like Dragnet 1967-70. As I've mentioned I grew up in the 70's. A teenager in the 80's, these times for me were EPIC! I have some absolutely incredible memories and adventures. Wonderful experiences, and a more than a few amazing memories. These bring back many great times! Thanks again!
