- I had to bring the two kittens upstairs, so they could get use to getting some love from me, well they didn't like this at all, and hissed and growled at me..LOL, the g-ma cat came in to help out too..:)~
They try to scare you away with the hissing. But they're too cute for it to work.

Kittens are nothing but bluff. As soon as they realize that the humans that handle them either mean no harm or are simply persistent, they usually stop trying to attack.
The vulerability along with the hissing makes me want to protect them.

Cats are so funny...they think they're terrifying when they hiss, even if they're tiny kittens.
It there defence, they look thoth this way and hiss spead out smell which is not very pleasent
its more of an instinctual desperate attempt to bluff a predator.
It's their only option for defense. It's very unlikely to work versus enemies, but a slim chance is better than nothing.

It's amazing to me that it survives an an evolutionary defense since it almost never deters anything that might threaten them.

Don't be afraid they still kittens if you don't do something they grew up aggressive and violent so try to calm them down and be gentle with them

I've never seen my kittens hiss but once Rosie (one of my kittens) did it was at my mums friends dog and I've never seen Lucy (my other kitten) hiss before.
