2:36 Imagining hearing that when walking through the woods. My bowels would vacate so fast I might actually fly off.
And it doesnt even sound as imposing as in real life, mic mutes a lot of the deep sounds that you can hear/feel. C:
Hearing that in the woods would be spooky indeed :D
I agree that they some strong sounds but none are as scary as me as a panther literally screaming right outside my house in the middle of a winter night.
if you ever hear it in the wild it will be the last sound you ever hear. most likely.

Cougar: **rawr!**
Woman: Ah! You scared me!
Cougar: Sorry **hides face**
More like "You're too close to my precious snack. Please back away slowly and you won't be harmed!'
@rgtrooper13
Pretty much anyone would be easy prey without the cage LOL so what even is your point? These people take care of these animals.
When the tiger roared at 2:43, I thought I was watching the opening credit of an MGM produced movie.
ThaRestlessOne It does sound like it. I know they have used tiger roars for lions before (they used tiger roars for all of the lion roars in the Lion King). Something to do with how much louder a tiger’s roar is to a lion’s. I’m not sure if they did that with the MGM opening since they’ve used (several) lions over the years, but they could have.
I do believe they use(d) tiger roars for lions in almost everything. I think it's because tigers have more umph behind their roars. Tigers sound far more loud and intimidating while lions are loud, its more of a beautiful sound that carries. Not so much in your face 'roar'.
@@Grimmjowluver123 sorry wrong, and this is not a lion tiger debate. But a tigers roar can be heard from about 2.5miles. A lions over 5 miles.
@Krok Krok Well uhm, sorry but I kinda agree with him. Tiger roar up close is much more intimidating than a lion's. Yeah sure a lion roar can be heard miles more than a tiger's but I'd be more scared of a tiger up close than a lion.
Lions have a deeper roar that sounds more like an engine. Since it's low pitched compared to tiger, we don't hear it the same. It'll travel further and you'll feel it down your bones.
But, on a microphone, low pitches are far less impressive.
Tigers are higher pitched and more "rrrrrraaaaaaarrrrrr" wich is, on a microphone, much more captured. It sounds more impressive and more like what we imagine it should sound like, as europeans or americans.
So it's only logic to use tigers roars.
--I've never seen someone so angry at a pumpkin before
--Joseph looks like he hasn't even convinced himself yet
--I think I could totally have a mountain lion as a friend
The lion was angry they didn’t have thumbs to hold it to carve the pumpkin
Their gorgeous creatures that we need to respect and cherish. I'm so glad that we are going to build the numbers back up that poachers have tore down. I'm proud of your group protecting them. Thank you
Big Cat Rescue , thanks so much for your posts and knowing that there are people who love them enough to try to save them from extinction
Now, all we need to do is severely reduce the number of poachers, in fact, THEY need to be on the endangered species list if you know what I mean. 🤔😊
@@bigcatrescue You have any cheetahs and snow leopards acting cranky too??
They aren’t protecting them. They are using them and abusing them for money and fascination. They belong in the wild.
I'd piss myself if a tiger was mad at me.
the first vied with the tiger looked like it was angry with the fly/bee that fly over the camera
Joy Nicole likely piss and crap yourself, that is what happens when a cat that big gets you.
Tiger at 2:30 was like "Oohh foods? I luvs foods"
and a second later was like *"Why are you still here **_GET OUT_** !"*
good thing that you're showing this vid. they are really scary. ppl need to know about this and protect them instead treating them like kitty cat
123haninhk where did you get cuddly from, none of them looked like they wanted to cuddle up to anyone
I think it's fair to say that the Big Cats "grudgingly tolerate" their keepers at best :P
This is the best way I've ever seen it put, lol. "Eh, you give me food and a good home. I guess you're okay."
+Daniel Skrivan Because we are not humans to them. We are simply entities that exist to cater to their needs. ;-)
Most of them really hate humans because they all came from situations when they were abused, left to starv or worse. It takes time to gain their trust.
Keeper: You scared me!
Cougar: That was the idea.
@@jessicasmith7102 they don't want to eat them, they are defending their territory or food, or they are just scared. If they wanted to eat them, they would ambush them and every time the people would look away they'd stalk up. They are just wild animals
I heard a male lion growl/roar in person before ... Scared the crap out of me lol I had goosebumps. I'll stick to watching them on the animal channels 😅
I one time heard an evolutionary biologist suggest that a lion's roar actually has a mechanism which partially "freezes" other animals so that our awe of what they do is literally something that happens to us physically and it's not just because we have knowledge of what they can do.
me too. I found myself frozen by the sheer vocal power of the animal.
Even within the enclosure that lion scared the crap out of me.
I'm with you. I work in the woods and I have multiple stories with mountain lions. Saw one looking at a coworker that showed up early when I drove up, then it ran away(the coworker didn't know it was there), saw a deer with a giant gash on its side in the same place, and I even found a deer carcass with giant paw prints all around it... each time I was pretty freaked out
The Tigers look so huge and menacing when they are angry. It looks awesome.
Blue Wolfess Amanda, the last tiger to jump at the fence and give that roar, is frightening when it comes to keepers. She's not that trusting of her keepers, save for a few, in which she'll chuff at them. But she is very protective of her space, and her brothers Arthur and Andre, and is not afraid to show you.
@Michael Ned That is actually not true. Tigers only rank 5th among the highest kill count to humans. The highest in the list is us humans, followed by elephants, deer, and the horse.
@@shuunosukesato4379 Considering how much we come into contact with those animals though, it's heavily skewed in their favour. Mosquitos are by far the most dangerous anyway.
I think a better way of judging it is through individual animal kill counts.
436 - Champawat tiger (Nepal/Northern India)
400 - Leopard of Panar (Northern India)
300+ - Gustave (crocodile) (Burundi), (rumoured
but it's probably not quite that many)
150 - Leopard of the Central Provinces of India
135 - Tsavo man-eaters (lions) (Kenya)
125+ - Leopard of Rudraprayag (India)
113 - Beast of Gévaudan (France)
(wolf pack)
50+ - Tigers of Chowgarh (India)
42 - Leopard of Gummalapur (India)
40 - Wolves of Paris (France)
I think that's a more interesting way of looking at it.
They are wild animals and not domestic pets so it's not unusual for them show aggression every once and a while
3:32 “Oh but Joseph I love you!”
“Babe shh just get out of here before my wife sees you”
“But I love you Joseph”
“just get out of here, we’re supposed to be a secret! Wife and I have enough problems as it is, that pumpkin she was mauling was supposed to be my head”
Girl: Aw but Joseph i love youuu...
Joseph: Get lost....
Girl: But i love you Joseeeeph...
Joseph: Well i don't love you now GET LOST!!!
2:41 That roar is as fierce as thunder - so beautiful
Beautiful is NOT a word you should use to describe that roar. It's intimidating, terrifying, and powerful. Not beautiful.
if im honest the roar of a lion is distinct but not as intimidating as the tiger's.
@@TheFirstCurse1 it can be seen as beautiful in a way. It's not illegal to appreciate nature.
When I think of the times my cat gets in an extra crazy mood and I get a glimpse of what he's really capable of physically, and then think of those same capabilities at that size. Yeah forget about it.
Joseph: "I'M NOT LOOKING FOR A RELATIONSHIP RIGHT NOW"
What people perceive as "house cat behavior" is actually general Cat behavior, a lion will kneed the ground like a house cat would and will rub its body across a tree like a house cat would do with a table leg.
But the biggest difference is that when a house cat get "cattitude" and takes a swipe at you, it's no big deal, but if a Tiger takes a swipe at you, you're dead...
Cougars have the cutest angry faces ever. I just want to give them a big hug, but I definitely don't want to be a cougar snack. Cats are cute and beautiful no matter what they do. XD
Cougars are closely related to smaller cat species, hence the reason we feel that way. It's a smaller wild cat that got bigger fairly quickly in the absence of the apex predator of north America, which was the saber tooth "tiger".
theyre like regular cats, like at the snap of a finger. but instead of gettimg a bit pissy its more like turning your ribcage into a hatrack and playing hopscotch in your chest cavity.
What I love about your sanctuary is that you don’t sugarcoat things, you don’t shy away from the fact that these are wild animals - not pets or entertainment! I’m glad that all of the residents are encouraged to keep their Feisty nature because it’s so important to their emotional well-being
I've been to this sanctuary and it was an amazing experience. It was sad to hear the history of the animals though because almost all of them had been let down by humans. I went there on holiday from the UK and it's one of my best memories.
Big Cat Rescue Even the 4 children (all under 10 at the time) still talk about the visit and they're all grown up now! If I was lucky enough to visit again, I would do one of the special events. Glad to hear you're still going strong.

Thats a BIG voice for a tiny lil thing .____.
Menno Wielenga I gotta gun that say otherwise. That was made to kill as well 😊
I've heard it said that "cats were worshipped as gods in ancient Egypt.. Cats have never forgotten this.";-D
Angelo in ancient Egypt cats were VERY sacred there. Every time a cat dies they would mummify it and if someone kills a cat the person was going to be killed
there are 3 types of big cats:
1. Raaawwwr
2. Shshshshshshsh
3. MeeoowNomNomNomNom
I think another part is simply them not being in a good mood on certain days (like humans).
Food aggression may be another. Or both.
Big Cat Rescue I think another reason Joseph might be angry is because of his age. Lol
"But Joseph I love you!"
"Get off my lawn."
Tiger's roar was the best
Yeah that tiger's roar was good. I was about to change my shorts anyway.
I know it sounds scary for people, but personally it sounds like a V8 motor, but I am legit scared by the male Silverback Gorilla roar, just check Richard's roar on TH-cam at 9 second
It's bad that even when they are being scary I'm like awwwww so cute that you want to maul me
You guys inspired me to be a big cat rescuer and now I'm studying about big cats and I have a whole group of people who wants to work with me. You guys keep up the good work. Love your biggest fan -Emma
Lol tiger at 2:33. He was like "hmmmm yummy... oh yeah I hate you"
Jayne Eyre don’t know if lions are more food aggressive than tigers like.. that’s extremely debated
I think it was more like "mine". They probably had someone try to take their food away at some point in their life.
I always dream of petting a big cat. Watching videos like that is really healthy and makes me realize, how small and fragile I am. Well, this is how a big cat should be like. It's big, wild, beautiful and damn scary.
3:30 keeper “But I love you Joseph!” Joseph the lion: “ Me too... as a dinner...”

These animals showing way more emotions then those in the Lion King 2019. And they say lions can’t emote.
Lions definitely can emote. Poorly done CGI lions? Not as much. Well, at least the emotion were poorly done.
i'd never keep one as a pet, cause thats mean/bad for the animals, but they are cute even if they are angry;)
Supposedly it's about 10 grand a year to take proper care of a tiger. That's another consideration.
Cool Cattitude video. Perfect for those who think these ferocious felines make good pets. These animals are treated extremely well, get to know the various workers, are never teased yet it's all fangs, claws and back off warning when they're in the mood. Speaking of fangs and claws this was the video I wanted after my cute kitten overload...personal Cattitude back on track...still want to watch adorable kittens....dang it.
Despite the obvious many people still try to make pets out of them. I'm afraid the exotic big cat "industry" in this country is alive and well.
+g bridgman It is very sad. I am a huge cat person and i'd much rather see these beauties free and wild (or at least being as wild as they naturally can in a safe sanctuary), than pacing and being sad in a tiny cage or residential space. Some people are just so damn ignorant.
blah mcblah The huge state forests in Africa are great places for the wild life to roam. A place like BCR certainly gives them the best they can have in captivity.
+g bridgman do poachers still try to get into those reserves? I know there's fences and patrolling, but some people will do anything for the money they could get off those poor furbabies. In an ideal world i'd love for all of them to be free, but I know it isn't the safest thing for many of them.. And yes I agree about BCR and what they provide. The kitties are so lucky to be able to live the rest of their lives there after their horrific beginnings.
I love to hear their catitude! Makes them even cuter in my book.
"is that anyway to talk to the person who gave you ice cream?" "Oooo" 3:25
lion i can talk however i want i’m bigger then u your lucky your not my dinner honey
THEY ARE SO CUTE!!
From a safe distance.
Joseph was just like "Fear me you miserable creatures and bow to my will"
I like how the lion at 3:23 is reminded of the ice cream he received from her and his kinda goes blank like he’s thinking: “Huh, you do make a fair point...”
cougars have such beautiful eyes omg
I love the comment from the keeper at about 3:25 - "Is that any way to treat the person who gave you ice cream?" LOL, Joseph's line of thought was probably, "Are you giving me ice cream right now? No? Then have some cattitude!"
Yes, the Tigers and Lions have Very Powerful roars!!!😎 But, the Jaguars and Leopards have a deep throaty roar, that also sounds Very SCARY!!!😣
They also have powerful jaws strong enough to pierce through the skull. That's how they kill their prey
We can add: "Is that any way to talk to the person who gave you ice cream?" to things you will never hear outside of Big Cat Rescue.
Oh wow, that chicks voice at 3:31 sounds JUST like the crazy experimental ladies voice from fallout 3! 😳
Now that I think about it, ur right, she sounds like Moira, the lady in the store that always says, "Absolutely", if I remember correctly. 😄
“But I 💜 you, Joseeeph!”
“I care not tiny human wench! Now, gimme foods!” 🍗🦁
it's so sad they have to be in a sanctuary 😢why can't people stop trying to own these beautiful things and let them stay in the wild. wonderful job as usual BCR
I love the intonation of “Oh! But Joseph, I love you!” 💕
I’ve been quoting that to my cat for almost two years now 😂😂😂
I've been watching these videos for over 2 hours straight!! I love Joseph!! He is awesome!
I absolutely LOVE this woman. She is a very good person. Bless her heart for taking care of all her animals in captivity!

Who would be STUPID enough to keep such powerful, wild predators as pets?!...
And if you think that by declawing them you are safe, think again!... It's not only the claws, it's the sheer power behind the paws that can break your neck in one blow!... Plus, it's plain cruel!...
Anybody that owns a normal house cat and experienced a pissed off cat slapping you, knows how powerful they are... I can only imagine a tiger, a lion, a cougar, a leopard or a jaguar!...
Big Cat Rescue you guys are smart to not allow people to tease your big furbabies. you know even though they are in capitivy that they are still wild animals and can't be trusted entirely. you guys are great, I hope that someday I will get to see these cats in person.
Heck, the tigers and lions can injure with sheer mass, even in friendly play. Beware when big stripey wants to give you hugs, unless you're built on the scale of Andre the Giant...
E Gagnon Well said. A tiger paw swipe hit with over 10.000 pounds of strenght, enough to crush a buffalo' skull or a black bear's back. A lion can behead a donkey or break the back of a zebra, camel or horse with a swipe of his sledgehammer paws. Even a gentle touch is enough to shred a man to bits.
I showed this to my grandmother and she couldn't get past 1:36! I would rather keep a photo/plushie/plastic replica of these kitties but not a real one.
1:37 hearing that in the woods "oh HECK NO!!!"

omg at 1:22 it looks so cute with its ears down
when felines put their ears back it means they are on the defensive, so cute but def not a happy kitty.
Imagine if she hears you calling her an it. She won't like it. At all.
2:29 I find it funny how he reacted like "oh treat! I want it!"
*bites treat*
"...You dare point that to me?! BACK OFF INSOLENT!"
2:24 her eyes are so beautiful 😍😍❤
Magnificent creatures! I just love cats; big or small.
They are so funny even when they are acting like this. Proves that all cats act the same!
Many of them were very protective of their food. You have to fight for it in the wild. Their instincts never leave them.
Yup. My elderly house kitty would probably eat your face off if you tried going near his food bowl lmao.
blah mcblah Our big Tom cat Luke is so passive it's funny. He won't fight for his food or anything. He has a new little brother and let's him have anything he wants; food, his favorite sleeping space, toys, etc. But he loves his little brother. They play together constantly and he seems like a much happier cat, even more than he was, since he has this new companion.
my dog would bite u even if u talked to me or moved 1 single centimeter lol
Watching the way these cats move and act...how amazingly similar their behavior and physiology is to that of house cats...the only reason our own domestic cats haven't killed us all just by acting on a bad mood is because of their size. "Cat-i-tude" indeed!
That cougar at 01:56
"This potato (I can't tell what it is? OTL) is your head if you come in here!"

The Bobcat is, kilo for kilo, probably the nastiest, toughest, and most dangerous cat around.
JohnnyWishbone85 They're very cute, but I sure wouldn't want one for a pet. They can stay out in the wild where they belong.
WOW, I know Joseph is gone but he was magnificent. He is still making a difference and his spirit is resonating on. 💖🦁

Yes 🤣🤣🤣
The tiger is like "you son of a bish this tastes like your a$$hole. Get outta here!"
They're even adorable when they're pissed.
Thank you for educating the public regarding wild animals and for posting this video.
Lions def have the deepest growl by far
Its very clear that their Royal Highness'es do not appreciate the paparazzi cameras in their faces :-D
But somehow Im not cured of my "they're so cute feeling". I still think they're cute even when they growl and hiss at the same time and clearly tells us that they're are not house cats. I just think they're cuter on a distance. The pissed off look with ears turned back and laid flat, only makes a cougar even more adorable.
Most beautiful and formidable animals ever.
I love Joseph at the end. He's showing off his huge chompers.
2:03 I liked it when it meow to eat it's food
Little cats and big cats are the most beautiful creatures on earth!!!!
Up until I was 15 years old, my family lived about a kilometer away from the city's zoo and we could often hear the lions roar at night, especially during the summer. While me and my dad were amazed by how incredible it was, that we could still hear it so clearly, it was still pretty terrifying, when we took late night walks in the nearby park and suddenly heard it :D
Keeper: " But Joseph I love you! "
Joseph: " I love you too, come a little closer and Ill show you just how much "
