The snap dance in hip hop is also known as the "snap and roll" and the "finger snap."
Instructions
Emphasize your shoulder movements by shrugging them with each beat.
1. Get yourself into position by placing your feet shoulder length apart. Bend your arms at your elbows, keep your elbows in near your sides and hold your hands out in front of you.
2. Extend your right arm out away from your side, keeping your left arm in near your side. As you extend your right arm, turn your body slightly to face the left side. Shift your weight on your right foot as you step.
3. Switch and extend your left arm out while bringing your right arm back in. Begin to pick up your left foot off the floor.
4. On the third beat, bring your elbows to your sides and point both forearms forward and upward, snapping your fingers. As you shift your weight to your right foot, quickly step down on the floor with your left foot.
5. Repeat these steps, but this time turn your body the other way to face slightly to the right.

This dance cant be taught. It's all about feel. Your arms and wrists control your feet movement. Its hard to explain..but its all done with feeling.
