I own this watch with a metal bracelet, hence 100 meter water resistant is make sense. This is the only square watch I have. Love the open heart and luminous markers, it is legibility throughout the whole night!
Wish it had 3 days of power reserves.

I like it, though I wish they made one without an open heart.

Raymond Weil was one of the big names in the 1990's, but they were using a lot of quartz then. As quartz became a no no, they drifted into the abyss for a while. I owned one, that was stolen when my home was robbed, and it was one of my favorites watches at the time.

Beautiful watch and design language, but I missing the value and some specs are off. Square watches wear a little larger than their stated dimensions, so 37-38mm would be better for something like this. A screw down crown and 100m WR is not needed in this category of watch. And last, I would rather have a Sellita or ETA and drop that price significantly. I just don't see the value of an inhouse movement at this MSRP. It's not going to be anything special. As always, great review Rob.

I disagree. All of these specs make perfect sense if this is your one and only watch. And I don't see why it wouldn't be. Sports capable dress watches (100m wr) at this size are my personal favorite genre of watches. You can even get it on a bracelet. And different sizes fit different people.

very cool looking and somewhat retro looking Raymond Weil. Many years ago, that brand was quite popular and my wife and I also had this watch for a long time. Yup. the price is quite steep, perhaps bit too high. Thanks for the review, Rob

I think raymond weil is a good brand but too afordable to luxury watch and too expensive for interest new customers, they do t have good marketing and perhaps dont have iconic model who chanbe ther imabe of old brand...its tbe typical brand you apreciate when you worn one bjt yoj will never think to buy, like frederique constant, beaume et mercier,longines,etc... its the problem of middle brand, not popular and not luxury,a rich customer will never think in them.
