For quite a while when I reported hackers they were actually getting banned. Received a action taken message. Now for the past few months I report blatant hackers and nothing happens.
Not to mention their servers keep shutting down, momentarily. Locks up my system, and the next thing I know, my character has been killed off a couple of times.
I’m 39 I have always enjoyed playing video games and COD has been one of my favorites ever since the first one! I can’t play everyday all day long but when I do I can’t even enjoy it bc so many ppl are cheating. It’s robbing us of our experience. It’s horrible and needs to be addressed asap!

EOMM is a huge factor as well. Good players get punished by getting their bullets nerfed to keep the not so good players engaged. Activision manipulates the outcome of a gunfight with EOMM. Now I don't buy anything from the store, nor do I own the battle pass, but I've seen where certain skins and bundles will give you better matches for a short period of time. Also with the new xp system while playing with friends has an effect on matchmaking engagement as well. It all corrupt bs if ya ask me.

We both know at our age that part if the experience was just that people would work hard come home and blow off steam ,we'd trash talk each other and it was all good because we weren't taking each other serious . I literally witnessed a whole level 1000 iri team get banned after reporting them an hour ago. In a diamond lobby. Worst thing is, after the first guy got banned the other 2 teammates dan into a room and sat there, doing nothing, scared of getting banned themselves. Luckily they got the ban right before the end of the match. The fact that a whole team can get to IRI level 1000 without getting banned is outright PATHETIC

I see whining about sbmm , to be the same as whining about playing people in your weight class and age class in sports. Since that's exactly what sbmm is. The only difference is your kd is what decides your lobbies. Kinda pointless and a bit ridiculous .

Problem is so many leaving and these streamers are stuck playing in our lobbies for a change, and now they know why we been saying for months that the cheating is completely overrunning this game.. It’s been this bad for the last 4/6 months.. They are not getting the bot lobbies now, with such a small player base now.. .. B06 will be just as bad if not worse..

Cheaters are all rage hacking on level 1000 accounts not getting banned. Legit players getting shadowed all the time. My friends are all switching to PS5 for BO6 ranked. PC ranked play is full of people using walls, auto ping etc

There are so many cheaters in the game especially in warzone Pre aiming behind walls... Goes on and on. Consoles are not safe, PC users will just use console id to access our servers. Back in the day everyone was trash with a small percent being good. Now 90% of everyone is a top notch player with cheats.
I play purgatory mainly now, its filled w ppl abusing meta while hiding cheats... I found like a couple of times crazy cheaters aimbotting or going crazy. Its a mess and its boring.
Influencers who actually cheat but promote the game are the ones who are protected. This is why this whole anti-cheat doesn’t work because they don’t start with the root cause.

What stands out to me in killcams are players who seem to center or frequently check on the yellow "you" way point on the way to frying you in a millisecond out of nowhere with minimal noise.
This is exactly why I have not pre-bought BO6. Especially after seeing how much cheating was going on in the BO6 Beta. I have also not bought anything in the store since S4. It is just insane how put of control this is now. I literally only play warzone for free now.

Im a console player and im literally forced to buy a pc soon to get to play on 150fps+ 200fps, not just the cheating but the servers have always been really trash, and I got good internet and lan cable, that would make me get better “ oh I shot him first “ or like he said, I shoot 4, with enemy shooting 2 w same gun, I die
On the weekends it’s absolutely unplayable. It is much better during the weekdays especially in the morning. I have tried this when I had some time off and there is a noticeable difference.
I experienced this kid with walls . I was ratting literally didn’t even move and he knew where to look and what floor etc I even was behind a bar table etc and I still gunned him because my trigger finger carries sometimes then in the same match I get pushed by a new account you can tell he wasn’t a game pass new subscriber and he killed me and then I fly toward the middle of the map and right across my building is the same kid I didn’t have a chance then I realized Warzone Is Cooked and not worth playing it’s basically Hackerzone Ricochet is A joke and they stopped caring about mw3 around S3 since then we haven’t had a crazy ban wave barely anything
I have a friend that cheats and has been using Phantom Overlay for over a year. Never been banned or anything. He said he started cheating because he is tired of having it happen to him. I understand why he does it, but I just dont play the game anymore. I would like to play it, but the cheating will never go away. Activision has made their money and will continue making huge money. So why would they actually care??
With smoke in kill cams, one thing I have noticed is that the smoke stays in the RAM for a couple of seconds (is visible), and by the time the game winning kill cam comes around the smoke is no longer in the RAM and the game uses what's there on the map at the time the kill cam is presented. By then, there's no smoke. Man I don't even know if I explained that correctly, but I agree with you 100%

Just came here to say exactly this. Got back on for the first time to play ranked this season and 3 games in a row had blatent hackers. And wtf is up with matchmaking, putting me a diamond 1 at reset, a plat which I get but a GOLD??? In a lobby versus full diamond and above stacks is straight rigged.

I was in a party playing multi-player core; 4 games in a row someone less than 100 lvl had 100+ kills. They'd follow you through a wall and zap you the millisecond you showed any part of your body. And call me crazy (or just bad, might be both) but it feels like something is constantly breaking aim assist? Is that a thing now?
I’ve been a consistent COD Fan for more than a decade and I’ve loved the game until now, the hacking is beyond unbearable and now it’s began to affect multiplayer, everybody i play against is a new account. I’m level 1143 and I’m playing against level 29 or level 282, like it’s beyond crazy. I’ve barely been playing because of it.
If you have been playing COD over the past fifteen years you know COD allows their game to get over run with hackers every time a new game comes out. Do they think we will buy the new game to get away from the cheaters? But they do this every time.
I haven’t heard too many people mention this, but likely their reluctance to speak or act on cheaters is because it is only affecting the top 1 or 2 skill brackets. They admitted there were 10 brackets. Those bottom 8 will never see a cheater and are a far larger majority of players than the top skill base.

I have been banned since the last update for cheating. I am 74yrs old play on an xbox and have never cheated i was banned while playing plunder. This is why they cant ban the cheaters their too busy banning people that don't cheat. And you can't even get them to look at your account. Someone had linked a steam account to my account and played rank play which i haven't played in the four years that i have played this game.
I honestly don't think it will ever get eradicated. Which is a shame, because for casual gamers like me, it just puts me off. Problem is, because it's widespread, ya tend to think someone is cheating, evem though they may not be.
They need to find a way to put fear into the admins of these hacking websites, the fact they can just sell software on the clearnet that messes with the income of a multibillion dollar company and they aren’t getting sued for hundreds of millions, doxxed, served and harassed by an army of lawyers and their websites aren’t under constant ddos attacks to the point it cripples them is a huge disappointment. People need to fear consequences to change bad behavior, especially when that behavior is profitable.
Maybe I’m a rare instance. I had my account hacked, and an unauthorized steam account was added. I received a message saying I was permanently banned. Submitted a ticket and within 2 hours was unbanned entirely.
Yep it just seems absolutely horrible right now, I've stopped playing now. I've cancelled my pre-order for BO6 as well. I am not gonna touch CoD until they get a real anti-cheat instead of there homegrown garbage. It doesn't work.

Since they took trios away we’ve been playing a lot of cutthroat in MW3 and the amount of low level players who are dominating lobbies and blatantly using aimbot is crazy right now. No matter how many times we report and block them we’re back in the lobby with them next game. Crazy.

Best thing I saw today was playing duos and we wiped the same team five times before they got us. They dropped in with load out weapons and kill streaks every time. I’m actually mostly sad for them… all that cheating and still trash! Love it ❤
Hey Zach, I'm a quadriplegic warzone player [if you don't know, that means I can't use my hands well because of a spinal injury.] I find genuine enjoyment slamming bots that call me a cheater for winning the gunfight lol. I play on PC too, I must be cheating in that regard XD
Cheating has been so bad for so long, dont even need a kill cam. The way u get knocked so fast out of no where or just a weird angle is bout 99% a dead giveaway when uve seen so many cheaters the last 5yrs
The worse thing is cheaters aren’t rage hacking anymore a lot of the time. They’re smart where it’s borderline maybe but I know just how these people pre aim weird spots or tracking through walls, etc. or they hit every shot to the body or soft aim bot and it’s not as extreme as hitting all head shots and snapping on people.
Ive been using The Rook skin for about a week. Ive noticed an increase in survivability leading to more kill a game. The hit box on that operator seems to actually mess with the aimbots people are using. The closer they get the less effective the operator skin is.

They are purposely making the game bad by removing all the solo Playlist and allowing hackers to rage hack game after game and all the new Meta guns are so OP they are the only guns worth using at all. The new Battle rifle is beyond overpowered and so are the Dual wield shotguns. This game is done
I know it’s not a full fix, but I wish they fix it so we could turn off cross play and actually be able to find a match. If you do it takes like 5 mins and you get stuck with like a 100ms+ ping
My account got hacked and my email changed three years ago. The support system to get it reversed is so awful and frustrating I was never got it corrected.
People seem to forget that this has always happened. Cheaters become rampant a couple of days/weeks before the next COD comes out. Shit has happened since wz1 and now this iteration of wz. Is like they turn off the anti-cheat hoping you buy the next COD and play the multiplayer until they “fix” the problem.
I have played CoD for many many years. Never gotten a ban or warning or anything. I only play weekends due to my current job. I didnt play for two weeks then on third weekend, i reinstalled windows and put ds4 windows back on cus I use playstation controller. I played maybe 5 hours that sunday then didn't play rest of the week, I wake up saturday morning to an email stating that my account had been permanently banned for using third party software. I appealed and they denied it with no explanation as to why. Anybody thats ever played with me knows i wasnt cheating. (My kd at the time was like point 85 or 86 and only 7 wins in warzone last season, so I'm obviously a cheater)
From Warzone 1 came out we have been screaming for something to be done..! Nobody cares people Just need to move on from the game now they COD would rather update operator skins & weapons bundles than fix this game..!
Verdansk was bad and knowing we didn’t have an active anti cheat, you could tell when you’re being cheated on but now with an active anti cheat, bruhhhhhhhhhhhh it’s ridiculous. I’m usually not the type to call hacks/cheats but when almost every kill cam looks they are seeing me through the walls, the pre aims and losing gunfights when you first shoot and land better shots. The paranoia is wild atp.

We need to use theatre mode next year to report cheaters to convince COD to keep this in. I feel if we have theatre mode where we can confirm cheating in all modes and being able to record proof will help alot
I've much gotten more "Thank you for reporting" notifications on MW2023 than usual. I play SnD mostly and daamn. There's a lot of "Smurfs" with insane feed. Especially when playing with full 6/6 party
For me it’s been pretty consistent with a least 1 hacker every other game (if not every game) They really really gotta figure it out, like they need to call up which games cause Fortnite has a larger player base yet they have a working anti cheat meaning less hackers

I will repeat this a million times. Cheaters have been a huuuuuuge issue since the beginning of Warzone. Just because one person may not interact much with hackers in a lobby doesn't mean its not there and not a major issue. I've experienced smaller companies use 3rd party anticheats and do 95% better than RicohSHIT. I haven't play cod since the beta for bo6 and honestly I may not be back. The warzone mode is getting old. We need a new genre of games bc I don't see warzone lasting another 3 years, especially with hackers not facing consequences.
My OG account was hacked and banned pre-MFA. My squad mates account was hacked a week ago luckily he was able to secure it and spent 6 days in shadowban.

It makes really no sense in spoiling the game for casual player! Everyday after work i spend few hours in game! But after recent blatant cheaters it only makes it more annoying experience! The exact same thing happens before EVERY new cod! There is a simple explanation, at the end of the games cycle they clearly do wild crazy things to keep people playing new modes “breaking” every gun for a while. Putting out new 30-6 destroyers.. all these crazy “fun” things, new modes etc etc etc. why? to keep people playing and to get as much $ as possible so the last quarter’s bottom line doesn’t get people fired. All of these things, to the people that are held responsible for the 💰 part of the game are not any different than…. LETTING THE HACKERS SPEND 💰 TOO! Hackers spend more 💰in the cod store when you don’t ban them. Plus it also makes more people want to quit this one and buy the new one!

I played a match where one player had a 63-0-0 K/D…. and, I KNOW that I put him/her down, several times. Their K’s counted, mine didn’t even register.

I think another aspect of cheating that doesn't get talked about very much is SBMM...... it is so competitive when playing that lower skilled players feel the need to cheat to compete. I think that is BS...but it is another factor to the cheating. All that you said is correct though... I would just like to play and not worry about it at all. If I get killed, I would love to not have to question if it is legit or not and it just be someone better. I can live with that.... Great stuff Zach as always!!!!

They switch off the anti-cheat leading up to a new release. Just before the release they hit a huge ban wave and then sales go up.
There are so many cheaters in the game especially in warzone Pre aiming behind walls... Goes on and on. Consoles are not safe, PC users will just use console id to access our servers. Back in the day everyone was trash with a small percent being good. Now 90% of everyone is a top notch player with cheats.
I play purgatory mainly now, its filled w ppl abusing meta while hiding cheats... I found like a couple of times crazy cheaters aimbotting or going crazy.

Old school hardware bans just like in the 360-PS3 era. “You wanna cheat!? That’ll run you 500 bucks per console or a new pc bc it is now a brick!!” That’s what they used to do back in the halo 3 and of MW days.

Honestly, at this point the only thing that will get through to Activision is to put together a class action lawsuit for false advertising and predatory practices.
What stands out to me in killcams are players who seem to center or frequently check on the yellow "you" way point on the way to frying you in a millisecond out of nowhere with minimal noise.

Im a console player and im literally forced to buy a pc soon to get to play on 150fps+ 200fps, not just the cheating but the servers have always been really trash, and I got good internet and lan cable, that would make me get better “ oh I shot him first “ or like he said, I shoot 4, with enemy shooting 2 w same gun, I die
On the weekends it’s absolutely unplayable. It is much better during the weekdays especially in the morning. I have tried this when I had some time off and there is a noticeable difference.
I experienced this kid with walls . I was ratting literally didn’t even move and he knew where to look and what floor etc I even was behind a bar table etc and I still gunned him because my trigger finger carries sometimes then in the same match I get pushed by a new account you can tell he wasn’t a game pass new subscriber and he killed me and then I fly toward the middle of the map and right across my building is the same kid I didn’t have a chance then I realized Warzone Is Cooked and not worth playing it’s basically Hackerzone Ricochet is A joke and they stopped caring about mw3 around S3 since then we haven’t had a crazy ban wave barely anything
I have a friend that cheats and has been using Phantom Overlay for over a year. Never been banned or anything. He said he started cheating because he is tired of having it happen to him. I understand why he does it, but I just dont play the game anymore. I would like to play it, but the cheating will never go away. Activision has made their money and will continue making huge money. So why would they actually care??
With smoke in kill cams, one thing I have noticed is that the smoke stays in the RAM for a couple of seconds (is visible), and by the time the game winning kill cam comes around the smoke is no longer in the RAM and the game uses what's there on the map at the time the kill cam is presented. By then, there's no smoke.

Just came here to say exactly this. Got back on for the first time to play ranked this season and 3 games in a row had blatent hackers. And wtf is up with matchmaking, putting me a diamond 1 at reset, a plat which I get but a GOLD??? In a lobby versus full diamond and above stacks is straight rigged.

I was in a party playing multi-player core; 4 games in a row someone less than 100 lvl had 100+ kills. They'd follow you through a wall and zap you the millisecond you showed any part of your body. And call me crazy (or just bad, might be both) but it feels like something is constantly breaking aim assist? Is that a thing now?

I’ve been a consistent COD Fan for more than a decade and I’ve loved the game until now, the hacking is beyond unbearable and now it’s began to affect multiplayer, everybody i play against is a new account. I’m level 1143 and I’m playing against level 29 or level 282, like it’s beyond crazy. I’ve barely been playing because of it.
If you have been playing COD over the past fifteen years you know COD allows their game to get over run with hackers every time a new game comes out. Do they think we will buy the new game to get away from the cheaters? But they do this every time.
Yeah, my son and I play ranked and we just hit diamond one and we noticed a lot of cheaters from that point on almost every lobby

Yup I was diamond 2 and ran into a entire team of top 250 aimbot squad blatantly cheating. Which they shouldn’t even be in a diamond lobby anyway.
I haven’t heard too many people mention this, but likely their reluctance to speak or act on cheaters is because it is only affecting the top 1 or 2 skill brackets. They admitted there were 10 brackets. Those bottom 8 will never see a cheater and are a far larger majority of players than the top skill base.
In reality the people that supported COD since xbox 360 days are no longer the cash cow so they could care less about our experience

They do ban waves. Then those cheaters create new account. Those new accounts are reported to the investors falsely inflating their true numbers.

I have been banned since the last update for cheating. I am 74yrs old play on an xbox and have never cheated i was banned while playing plunder. This is why they cant ban the cheaters their too busy banning people that don't cheat. And you can't even get them to look at your account. Someone had linked a steam account to my account and played rank play which i haven't played in the four years that i have played this game.
I honestly don't think it will ever get eradicated. Which is a shame, because for casual gamers like me, it just puts me off.

They need to find a way to put fear into the admins of these hacking websites, the fact they can just sell software on the clearnet that messes with the income of a multibillion dollar company and they aren’t getting sued for hundreds of millions, doxxed, served and harassed by an army of lawyers and their websites aren’t under constant ddos attacks to the point it cripples them is a huge disappointment. People need to fear consequences to change bad behavior, especially when that behavior is profitable.

I had my account hacked, and an unauthorized steam account was added. I received a message saying I was permanently banned. Submitted a ticket and within 2 hours was unbanned entirely.
Yep it just seems absolutely horrible right now, I've stopped playing now. I've cancelled my pre-order for BO6 as well. I am not gonna touch CoD until they get a real anti-cheat instead of there homegrown garbage. It doesn't work.

Since they took trios away we’ve been playing a lot of cutthroat in MW3 and the amount of low level players who are dominating lobbies and blatantly using aimbot is crazy right now. No matter how many times we report and block them we’re back in the lobby with them next game. Crazy.
Cheating is getting worse but innocent players still getting shadow banned make this make sense this issue needs to be resolved this should complained about everyday so they can at least acknowledge the community

Best thing I saw today was playing duos and we wiped the same team five times before they got us. They dropped in with load out weapons and kill streaks every time.

Cheating has been so bad for so long, dont even need a kill cam. The way u get knocked so fast out of no where or just a weird angle is bout 99% a dead giveaway when uve seen so many cheaters the last 5yrs
The worse thing is cheaters aren’t rage hacking anymore a lot of the time. They’re smart where it’s borderline maybe but I know just how these people pre aim weird spots or tracking through walls, etc. or they hit every shot to the body or soft aim bot and it’s not as extreme as hitting all head shots and snapping on people.
The way you end cheating is if EVERYONE cancels their Order of BO6 and tells Activision to get F'd until they do something 100% different!
Ive been using The Rook skin for about a week. Ive noticed an increase in survivability leading to more kill a game. The hit box on that operator seems to actually mess with the aimbots people are using. The closer they get the less effective the operator skin is.

They are purposely making the game bad by removing all the solo Playlist and allowing hackers to rage hack game after game and all the new Meta guns are so OP they are the only guns worth using at all. The new Battle rifle is beyond overpowered and so are the Dual wield shotguns. This game is done
I know it’s not a full fix, but I wish they fix it so we could turn off cross play and actually be able to find a match. If you do it takes like 5 mins and you get stuck with like a 100ms+ ping
My account got hacked and my email changed three years ago. The support system to get it reversed is so awful and frustrating I was never got it corrected.
People seem to forget that this has always happened. Cheaters become rampant a couple of days/weeks before the next COD comes out. Shit has happened since wz1 and now this iteration of wz. Is like they turn off the anti-cheat hoping you buy the next COD and play the multiplayer until they “fix” the problem.

I think one of the biggest problems is SBMM. Are they going to ever let players play casually again! Do one good game then play pros for 5 hours
I have played CoD for many many years. Never gotten a ban or warning or anything. I only play weekends due to my current job. I didnt play for two weeks then on third weekend, i reinstalled windows and put ds4 windows back on cus I use playstation controller. I played maybe 5 hours that sunday then didn't play rest of the week, I wake up saturday morning to an email stating that my account had been permanently banned for using third party software. I appealed and they denied it with no explanation as to why. Anybody thats ever played with me knows i wasnt cheating. (My kd at the time was like point 85 or 86 and only 7 wins in warzone last season, so I'm obviously a cheater)

Verdansk was bad and knowing we didn’t have an active anti cheat, you could tell when you’re being cheated on but now with an active anti cheat, bruhhhhhhhhhhhh it’s ridiculous. I’m usually not the type to call hacks/cheats but when almost every kill cam looks they are seeing me through the walls, the pre aims and losing gunfights when you first shoot and land better shots. The paranoia is wild atp.

We need to use theatre mode next year to report cheaters to convince COD to keep this in. I feel if we have theatre mode where we can confirm cheating in all modes and being able to record proof will help alot

I will repeat this a million times. Cheaters have been a huuuuuuge issue since the beginning of Warzone. Just because one person may not interact much with hackers in a lobby doesn't mean its not there and not a major issue. I've experienced smaller companies use 3rd party anticheats and do 95% better than RicohSHIT. I haven't play cod since the beta for bo6 and honestly I may not be back. The warzone mode is getting old. We need a new genre of games bc I don't see warzone lasting another 3 years, especially with hackers not facing consequences.
My OG account was hacked and banned pre-MFA. My squad mates account was hacked a week ago luckily he was able to secure it and spent 6 days in shadowban.

It makes really no sense in spoiling the game for casual player! Everyday after work i spend few hours in game! But after recent blatant cheaters it only makes it more annoying experience! The exact same thing happens before EVERY new cod! There is a simple explanation, at the end of the games cycle they clearly do wild crazy things to keep people playing new modes “breaking” every gun for a while. Putting out new 30-6 destroyers.. all these crazy “fun” things, new modes etc etc etc. why? to keep people playing and to get as much $ as possible so the last quarter’s bottom line doesn’t get people fired. All of these things, to the people that are held responsible for the 💰 part of the game are not any different than…. LETTING THE HACKERS SPEND 💰 TOO! Hackers spend more 💰in the cod store when you don’t ban them.
Plus it also makes more people want to quit this one and buy the new one!

I think another aspect of cheating that doesn't get talked about very much is SBMM...... it is so competitive when playing that lower skilled players feel the need to cheat to compete. I think that is BS...but it is another factor to the cheating. All that you said is correct though... I would just like to play and not worry about it at all. If I get killed, I would love to not have to question if it is legit or not and it just be someone better. I can live with that.... Great stuff Zach as always!!!!
