I really respect this woman.. she is someone who really work hard for her and her lovely ones.. after disbanding of 2ne1.. she never stopped challenging herself. She always said that she isn't good enough when she was part of 2ne1. But her hardwork is really something.. she became MC of some variety shows and participated many varieties. YG didn't focus on her vocals before because the other 3 girls are better singers than her. YG catered on her career more as an actor and model exposing her more on hosting and acting because that time her face sells better with huge deals of endorsement on apparels and beauty products. Her face becomes one of the top in the industry, was making contract money that rose her to fame as one of the riches girls in KPop thanks to YG.
With her vocals, if YG would put in more energy I think she won't sell because Gummy was the top solo artist then. CL, Minzy, and Bom was also getting more popularity in the music industry, they were way younger than our vampire beauty, that explains.
I think now, our Dara through years of improving her vocals gives us such a nostalgic performance. Her voice is suited on this kind of genre. Very beautifully executed. 😍😍😍
