People suggesting that Castrol is bad in comments is becaus Castrol being more popular than its peers and this makes "Castrol" more prone to counterfeiting compared to peers , personally if I advice someone for Castro oil l then i strongly suggest them to buy Castrol oil from authorised dealers which is widely available across pan India

@@Ultimateharen yes i know it but i discussed about it with an engineer and he told me that first number 10w shouldn't be changed and last digit 30 to 40 will reduce heating and there will be no negative effect on engine. Apart from that if you shift 10w to 20w then oil will be thicker than before and if 10w to 0w or 5w then oil will be lighter. Finally he told me that first digit 10w should not be changed. When i used this oil then performance of bike is awesome i.e. heating and vibrations are reduced and engine is running very smooth.
@@myworld-mj5hc I did quick Google search and found out 10w-40 is for older engines. Btw I use 20w-40 for my 2004 TVS Centra.
I don't suggest doing that I tried it on my splendor the mileage dropped significantly
7100 is good but for high rev engine like 200cc, 5100 is sufficient for platina

Motul 5100 or shell advance city 10w30 available only in shell petrol pump.. it costs 600. Moreover it is fully synthetic.

Pata nhi kyu automobile companies engine oils patle karti ja rhi hai. Two wheeler wale ho ya four wheeler wale dono. Cars mei to aajkal 0W 16 ya 0W 20 tak dalte hai jo normal areas ke liye bilkul irrelevant hai.
Mai to normal bike mei 10W 40, badi bikes mei 10W 50 aur scooters mei 5W 40 dalta hu. Aajtak koi complaint nhi aayi.
It’s not about area anymore brother… it’s about clearances that are getting tight day by day forcing manufacturers to use thin oil…. There are other factors as well to it
