This is a sad song. She considered herself Chinese, she was born there, it was home and she considered the Chinese people her people, she was determined not to leave her home and never thought her people would turn on her. This and Daybreak are the two saddest and emotional songs Dimash songs, and you can hear the pain in both.
Dimash is so good at portraying those emotions and always puts a knot in my throat 🥺 so beautiful 😢

I have no idea how accurate his Mandarin pronunciation is. It took me years to learn Ni ha maa, hao paniyo, Ni xue chua puton hua ma?... and my Chinese friends still laugh at me when they hear me pronounce it... Chinese is one of the most difficult languages to pronounce (like Arabic, for example)... but to see the Chines audience brought to tears speaks volumes about his pronunciation...

There are not too many truly talented singers like Dimash, I cry at many of his songs, he tells the story through emotion from song, you feel every word, even in a different language. That alone is a gift, making you feel as though your the one he’s singing to. Am not afraid to say or feel that I am moved to tears each time he sings. I would love to see and hear him live.

Dimash my favorite male pop-op vocalist in the world. But my favorite love/ love lost ballad vocalist in the world is Park Hyoshin from Korea. Keep your box of tissues when you react to Park Hyoshin performing “ wildflower” live ( click the one with his dyed blond hair and wearing a colorful blazer jacket ). I love a pure and honest reaction. Another great song with a story is Daybreak. The story of the song itself is tragic but also Dimash had to get injections before performing it because he was having throat issues. The Doctor told him he could sing but no high notes.... You can guess how that went.

Also, a great coincidence and pleasant surprise happened to me Dec 9, in New York, day before the concert. When I was about to enter the NY library I saw Dimash's parents who were also entering, Dimash's younger brother was our translator ... that was a nice meeting..I had some photos with them ....❤❤❤❤
