This song has a very long and interesting history. The music for this song was written by Remo Giazotto in the mid-20th century. He claimed that it came from a music fragment written in the early 1700s by a composer named Albinoni. The music was known throughout the last half of the 20th century as "Albinoni's Adagio." Music historians always doubted that it came from Albinoni, and Giazotto copyrighted the music under his own name in 1958. It was used as background music in numerous movies.
After Giazotto died in 1998, his belongings, as well as important music libraries, were thoroughly searched and nothing could be found to suggest that any part of the music was written before the mid-20th century. So Albinoni had nothing to do with "Albinoni's Adagio."
In 1999, Lara Fabian wrote lyrics (in both English and Italian) to the famous music, and with the help of two other songwriters, it was made into the five-minute song first popularized by Lara Fabian (who has also been an enthusiastic Dimash fan since very early in 2017).

I did not know the Canadian Tenors. Let alone that they did Adagio. Nice to learn something new every day. Good reaction. I love the way Dimash performs. He always give it 110%. If you watch him singing Adagio you can not imagine that he gives solo concerts singing an hour and a half, two hours or two hours and a half. He never disappoints. Greetings from Amsterdam.
Their version is definitely a different style but I really love both versions :) and Dimash does deliver above and beyond :)

El problema de Dimash es que después de escucharle y ver sus interpretaciones, ya nada suena igual. Suerte de ser contemporáneos de él y poder disfrutar de su talento. De Yma Sumac nos quedan sus grabaciones, pero de Dimash podemos disfrutar de sus directos. La más grande no podía tener un mejor sucesor. Desde España, un saludo.

You MIGHT cry from the next song Daididau but you DEFINITELY will cry from Daybreak. The story explains the reason for the song and the problem Dimash had the day of the performance. Also on Gloria Wu's channel is the backstage footage called "Dimash Kudaibergen First Impressions - all the wonderful moments", which shows his relationships with the other competitors, such as the time before Ep.9 when someone gave him a pair of kneepads.
