That's a thorough presentation. No one can miss. Often instructors say: Press here while the hand covers the picture. You didn't do such mistakes. Well made video.
@@Droneblog Trying calibrating the IMU things don't work out as I expect. The IMU calibration is stuck at 2/5, 95%, and nothing happens for several minutes. What is the mistake? The compass calibration runs as You show it. Gimbal calibration runs the same.
Same here 2/5,95 % and no prompts to move drone. Battery was a bit low. Was trying to Cali on this bat instead of fresh one. Going to switch bat and try
First video to actually help, spent over a week trying to calibrate the damn thing. Fail on DJI's part, it should take you to the calibration when you tap on it being out
Thank you for your video and I like that you did it nice and slowly you could actually have the drone and controller in your hand and follow it step-by-step instead of racing through it and shouting like many of the videos 2. Thank you so much I will definitely follow this channel and I was able to calibrate everything I needed to really quickly. Thank you so so much save me a lot of time
Just wanted to say thanks. This new flyer can stress out over warnings like compass calibration needed I just encountered last night You explained how easy it is to do.
Thanks for sharing. I purchased a refurbished DGI Mini 3 Pro recently. it works just fine. my only issue is that i have to calibrate it before every flight. This is very annoying as it take a little time to do so.... How can i correct this issue?
Ahh thank you this just worked for me. I was using a windows computer. It calibrated ok. Thank you for the video. One thing I took with me was a small fan to cool the drone down when calibrating it. Thanks again.
Great video thanks again for sharing this information. I’ve got a question about the calibration for compass. Do u need to this when I received my DJI mini 3 pro before my first flight???? I ask because my drone drifted after first test and landing which was off I had a crash the second flight my drone drifted away from me backwards saying compass needs calibration?? Right then I looked at mini 3 pro a hit several things and propellers where still spinning I was shocked drone had 3 propellers broken??
No, it should be done manually by the user, as Mini 3s are flown all around the world. After moving out of a certain radius it should be done to ensure the drone doesn't fly away.
hi Dan, I was wondering if you could answer a question I'm a beginner to flying drones and purchased a dji min pro 3. but for some reason the drone does not move forward and back only if I take off the safety feature off then it moves in them directions any idea how I can resolve this issue? very much appreciated if you could help.
Hi Droneblog. Myself I've been flying Drones since 2014 and am a 107 with a successful business. Bad info on calibrations here. My self I only do these calibrations when setting up a new drone coming from where ever, or when it ask for it. N.S.E. and West never change so don't calibrate like you suggest. It can screw up the compass. Called over calibrating if you've never heard of it. the IMU only if it tells you to after the first time. I've been from NC to Fla, to SC, to NY. and not one time had to compass calibrate and had no problems.
Bill, there shouldn't be any calibration needed for obstacle avoidance, just the options to set the behavior of the avoidance (Brake, Bypass, and off). Are you having issues with the vision sensor giving errors?
Any idea how far is meant by instruction **keep clear of metal or objects with an electrical charge*? I assume it's more than 1.5m given that is the height above ground required for compass calibration.
I crash my drone I fixed what it needed.and it says gps module, gps error. Won’t let me fly. I changed the gps module. I recalibrate everything and won’t let me fly still
Same here. Sent it to DJI. They said $293 to fix. I had the unit for less than two years and only used it about ten times. I will not be fixing it. Instead, I will smash it with a hammer. I am done with DJI.
If your Mini overheats (due to not being in motion while calibrating), allow it to cool down then start the calibration again, preferably in a shady/cooler location.
Hi People, 4th time i have flown my DJI mini 3 pro today Something don't look right to me, I went up 33meters on the screen, but looked like i was way over 100 meters as in line of sight......... I went shit that is freaking high. our laws in Australia state we can only fly to a height of 120 meters i don't want to break any laws. Awesome drone this mini 3 pro i love it. Cheers from Australia
First off, you sound extremely cheesy and corny talking. Unless that’s AI speaking. Secondly, you never said whether to close the arms of the drone when doing calibration or not. In the photos on calibration the arms are closed. But you said nothing about it.

You're welcome. For the Mini 3 Pro (and 4 Pro), I use a laptop fan pad to keep the drones from overheating during any stationary procedures as well.

What is the meaning of calibration request of the RC Remote?
Do you need to be outside to access the satellites to calibrate the compass?
It is highly suggested to do so.
Thanks for this informative video. Do you have any idea why my Calibrate IMU will not go above 95% calibrated ??
Great job .Really good explanation .Thank you

Should this not be factory done??
No, it should be done manually by the user, as Mini 3s are flown all around the world. After moving out of a certain radius it should be done to ensure the drone doesn't fly away.
I thought it was factory set too 😂😂.
droneblog response makes a lot of sense that i totally overlooked 😊

Great demo and information on the DJI Mini 3 / Pro. Many thanks for sharing :)
We are glad you liked the video and appreciate you taking the time to watch it.
I crushed my mini 3 and broke my gimbal. Can a replacement dji mini 3 pro gimbal and camera fit my mini 3?
I’m looking for solutions to discover why the mini 3 pro appears to have its turning speed to its lowest setting no matter where I set the setting.
Thanks your informatioan, i am from Indonesia and i subscribe you.

@@Droneblog no errors, I checked settings, showing obstacle avoidance is active but it's not. I had a light bump that's when it started.

How do you manually calibrate the gimble if your getting the "gimbal overload message
I fixed it by just doing auto
Thanks!!
after the calibration, the yaw is to the left..how to solve that ?? thanks
Have you tried to re-run the calibration in a different area, away from any metal objects? Hopefully that works for you.

Connect DJI RC to network
Thanks, only place I found with an easy tutorial to calibrate IMU, compass, and gimbal together.
calibrated 3 times -gives success message everytime and then tells me I have a gimble calibration error and to calibrate -endless loop wth
This happened to me also. Would love this explained why

I should have never done this. Was flying fine now has altitude error.
A great deal to be said about if it aint broke dont !#$÷@ with it!
Drone overheated and turned off during second attempt at calibrating IMU. Hopefully this can be reversed :(
