Thanks a lot, Bilal. Your video was incredibly helpful in repairing my Canon Pixma TR4650, which is just like your model. My child had pulled the encoder strip out of the printer, and when I opened it up, I found where the strip was supposed to go, but the spring was damaged and stuck inside the printer. I couldn’t figure out how to attach the strip to the hooks because it seemed too short. Then I watched your video and saw you mention the spring. That prompted me to search for it, and I finally found it still inside the printer. 😂
My spring isn’t tight like yours. When it’s relaxed it’s longer and when I put the strip in place it’s loose cos of the spring but it doesn’t go tighter 😢
Bilal I am having very slow printing speed in steps , 1 sec printing then stops for 7-8 secs , prints again...is this issue of timing strip...everything else is normal...but printing a page take 5 min
I have a printer canon E4570. I'm finding the issue of skiping lines while printing documents.. how can I solve this problem... I have cleansed ink cartridge twice but still the same??
Check nozzles test page. If its missing colors then go for power cleaning process. If its not missing the colors and just prinitng wavy lines then clean the encoder strip.
Thank you soooo much. I fixed mine, but it came with another new error code. 'Check ink 1403' Please what do I do? I have been awake all night fixing this issue😪😪
THANK YOU!!! I have been looking for this information for WEEKS! You are amazing!
Glad it helped

It’s fine nice vid got that the spring has to fit on the right side but how to check which side of the strip to face front and which side at back.
This was excellent. I have not tried the fix yet, but it explains everything I need to know.
Great!
Short and very practical video. Thank you so much. 💓
Glad it was helpful!
What about how to replace the belt?
Your video s excellent by the way
I have a canon G4411 printer that prints small blank horizontal lines. How can I fix this? Replace the encoder strip?
Does replacing or cleaning the encoder get rid of all different errors ? That’s to for posting
No, if printout is not clear, like double text, or row on rows and vertical lines are not straight then the issue is encoding strip

cut a spring from a side, then try to fix with short length spring then It'll be tight;.
Thank you
You're welcome

Did u try from any other pc?
Where can I buy the spring
I don't see where you hooked the strip the camera angle is not good
Question, what is the purpose of the encoder strip?
Its purpose is to help the print carriage accurately keep track of its position as it moves along the carriage rod.
My strip hole is damaged from one end what to do and if I need to get new one where I can get it in Tornoto or Brampton
Fix it with super glu, it will work
This helped me a lot thank you

How much is the cost of such encoder strip in offline market?
Less than 5$

Pity on you Chika, 1403 error indicates printhead issue. Shutdown the power of printer and turn on again then chk
@@BilalKhalid I did as you said. Even waited 10 mins and restarted the process. It still showed the error 🥲.
I feel sad
