Never seen Pastel Goth done this way, but I’m here for it.
Are you making a joke about the pastel goth pallet? Truly, just curious. For anyone interested, pastel Goth was a play on words on her as an artist playing with pastel chalk, which is the technical term for them. Not the value of the shades of color that the chalk had but the actual chalk is called pastels. Shes goth. And the colors that she used were more translucent like chalks, not dark colors just the types that you might sketch out a quick Monet inspired type piece. Not actual pastels as an Easter colors. But colors that might change in value when added to a different color base. Like I used to change the orange to various shades of pink depending on what I put under them. Any way that’s it.

So, I really like the overall sound! I have a genuine question (as a Christian myself), what part of this video's visuals set you apart from the rest of the world and communicate the change that has happened inside you? I believe your testimony, I've heard you speak and it sounds like you're in the Word and that you are being transformed, which I praise God for. I'm also open to alternative artistic expressions among Christians (I tend to be alternative myself in many ways on the daily), so I'm not saying this isn't reflective of how you've been changed. I'm just asking what your take is on the imagery here and how you feel it's communicating what you've been going through. Keep running the race in such a way that you may be victorious, Kat! ❤
Personally I see a doll house. And a person that may not seem like what you would normally find in your every day dollhouse. Take that as you will.
But as a Christian rocker myself, and I know you must be innocent in your questions but I really feel like this type of question can evoke the feeling of persecution which I know Kat is not for. From what I’ve picked up, she doesn’t need to come right out and say “this is why I’m set apart”.
But also, I have been in this very situation. I was wearing a leather jacket at a Christian youth dinner and had some one asked me much the same question as if to imply that what I was wearing and how I did my hair did not show the world my Christian faith. To me, the fact that Kat is who she is but lives free in her sobriety shows her faith. She can show the people that only she comes in contact with what faith is. The person at the basic church wearing the very demure cardigan can speak to the ones that only they come in contact with. But trust and believe that when a cardigan wearing Christian looked down her nose at me in my leather jacket at a youth group dinner and declared that there was no way that I, in THAT jacket could be a Christian, that more damage was created in that circle than good. Please be careful how you ask questions, and please be very mindful of why you are asking them.
@@tammystiletto Respectfully, I think you either didn't read my comment in full or you allowed your own past experiences to color your interpretation of what I said. I went out of my way to be gracious in my speech, I even added that I myself tend to be alternative in my day to day life, so I'm not exactly sure where you're reading persecution from. I genuinely asked for *her* interpretation, *her* POV that she's trying to share. If you have personal experiences that are still triggering for you whenever anyone asks such a question, no matter how graciously it's done, I encourage you to take that to the Lord in prayer for healing from those past hurts.
