Beginning in 2019, the CFL began scouring the globe to unearth new football talent and build bridges around the football world. The Global Draft has brought forward an incredible opportunity to players from around the world that get overlooked.
In 2023, Dean Faithfull was afforded the opportunity when the Edmonton Elks drafted him second overall. After playing professional soccer around the world for a decade, Dean accepted that his sports career may be coming to a close. While on vacation in Florida, one opportunity would open a new world for him.
All it took was having the opportunity.
