This is one of my favorite card tricks and has special memories for me. I was doing this trick with myself in the hospital and when I noticed I messed it up, I figured out I was having seizures while doing the trick. 😯
3rd generation magician here! As a magician myself, I love self working tricks. Easy to learn and perform with low risk of messing it up. I love you videos and have been subscribed and hit the bell for a while now. There’s so much to learn with just a deck of cards. The simplest item you can make into a whole show! In fact, I think I remember reading in an old magic encyclopedia from the 1900’s about a magician whose show was all coin tricks!
Nice one, I love tricks that are basically just re-packaged maths. So small addition, you said 10 is the magic number - actually, every EVEN number should work (just make sure you are not using like 2 or something above 40 because it's gonna get boring in one way or another in these cases xD), the important part is only the ability to exactly cut the deck in half.

I always have a bit of an issue with tricks that rely on the spectator mixing up cards in a very specific fashion (basically letting them do a false shuffle themselves)... I'll probably just ask for packet sizes and still do it myself ..
You have to reverse count the cards twice or an even number of times to return to the original order. I tried doing it an odd number of times and it doesn't work.
just a thought, instead of the bottom/table deal off, they can spell the word magic, or there name if there's is five letters even four letters, then they name there card and they up up the last card dealt, or if 4 letters they turn over the next card in there hand.
