Cam’s first line “There’s a war going on outside no one is safe from” is a homage to Prodigy’s verse on Mobb Deep’s “Survival Of The Fittest”.
Their collab on Losing Weight 1 is a classic. Also, Cam's verse on 2 for that matter.
And then he went on to diss jay for doing the same thing with big and pac. The hypocrisy is real.
@@CPAClass2010 not to get into semantics, but that "Not Biter" track was out like a year before the Cam beef with Jay. He just got ahold of it and started talkin over it.
Crazy thing about that, is that whenever Jay-Z do it people saying he stealing lyrics 🤦🏾♂️
This came out eight months after 9/11, and was written even sooner after. 9/11 had a big impact on the US as a whole, but it hit different in NYC.
It had a big impact on the world. Two wars, extreme security measures on the citizenry, and prolonged health issues from people who were impacted directly.
"This that 9/11 music" juelz santana
Fabolous & Jay-Z both dropped albums on 9/11.
Fabolous dropped his debut album Ghetto Fabolous
Jay-Z dropped the Blueprint
💯
Faaaacts
According to Cam, Jay-Z did his verse in 6 mins with 1 take. Which made Cam rewrite his verse. Two legends in their prime with this one
Killed it.
Beat me to it 😂
False. Cam and Jay did their verses in the same amount of time. They were going back and forth in the booth. Cam came out the booth, Jay went. Jay came out, Cam went right in after him. They both did their verses in like 5 minutes each time they went in
@@flame984 There's video of cam saying exactly what the other guy said...I watched that interview myself..are you calling cam a liar?
Facts
They mention the towers all the time cuz these albums came out around the same time. That was the main thing on everybody’s mind at that time
Yeah, this right after 9/11 when they did these albums, that's why.
Come Home With Me is such a classic NY album
Jay just so slick and does it so effortlessly.
Off the head when I’m rambling on the mic
Off the feds when I’m scrambling at night
It was often said I brought hammers to the fight
Thing is 9/11 was still fresh in our minds around this time. This album came out May '02. So basically most NYC rappers said it in their songs around these times. It was too show that the tragedy didn't defeat us in NYC and we had that attitude like we ready for whatever happens next we ain't scared!
As a old head that's about to be 50 I appreciate your vids you make me smile because I had the same reaction when I first heard it
Jam with them jammers blam with them blammers run with them runners gun with the gunners 💀💀
Dopest thing about this song is Just Blaze played all this. No samples
Sounds like Eye of the Tiger … Rocky 3… but that’s just me…
Didn’t realize “welcome to New York City” sample is just’s voice im late
Cam is that dude throw some respeck on his name
Mase moved to Atlanta and became a pastor for a few years..he had a church and the whole 9.
Yea know people who went to his church
Fun Facts: Juelz couldnt finish writing a verse fast enough, so they kept what he finished as the chorus (jigga did his off the top, Cam wrote his)
Facts
Honestly, I'm fine with that. Not a Juelz slight, because I think he snapped on losing weight pt 2
2:56 - Travis Scott said he seen Jay record the whole Magna Carta album without reading from anything. DJ Clark Kent said Biggie stopped writing because of Jay. Beanie Siegel is also on record not writing anymore because Jay taught him. Wayne is another one. Styles P don't write either.(maybe bcuz of Big) It's a lot of training the mind to remember bars tho.
Mase went commercial once he signed to Bad Boy. You really should check out "Children of the Corn". Cam, Mase, and Big L before they were signed. Mase rapped tough.
It was real street dudes from Harlem like Pop Lottie and Baby Mane that was going at each other. Baby Maine who ran Ma$e to Atlanta facts I think Ma$e tried to holla at Pop Lottie girl and it was threats made and shit went bad but Ma$e alive. These dudes was foul in Harlem Baby Mane I think was Blood.
@@TheLieKillerJrpop lotti did not run Mase to ATL. Mase was actually cool with Pop Lotti. He even took him to Atlanta but you just cannot take some guys out from the hood. They will always find their way back. Mase was Maine’s son godfather before the drama occurred between them.
@@haydotzero3372 I said that I said those was real street dudes I said Maine lol
This my favorite track on that album
This song was released in 2002 , not long after 911 , and the World Trade Center area was still a destroyed war zone at the time. So hearing this for the first time on the radio at the time was uplifting for us NYers.
This is my favorite song by Cam! I still bump this album! This whole album is a classic! This was also the intro song to True Crime: New York City! Great vid and stay blessed! ✊🏽🔥💙
The song did really crack in NY. It was hot for a few weaks, on the strenght it was Jay and Cam. But the Rumors that there were issues with them were already circulating so neither really promoted the song much from my memory.
In front of Sparks they bodied Castellano, block away watched by Gotti and Gravano 🔥
Italian 🇮🇹 influence in hip hop almost from the beginning!
check out Fantastic Four L.O.X., Cam'Ron, Nature and Fabolous
Like the Johnny pump
Is open ..I play hard!
I grew up on Johnny pumps and never stopped using it. Others call it a fire hydrant
Xzibit "what you see is what you get!" Best hip hop video ever made. Lets debate! Definitely the most underrated video hands down
Can you please review
JOHN BLAZE ?
Fat Joe, Nas, Big Punisher, Jadakiss, Raekwon.

I use to Big Pun & Nas verses in cyphers 😆🤣😂
Hes reacted to this already i think
He did already
🔥🔥🔥🔥 please throw this in the hat for future reactions. Beanie Sigel feat Sparks - Tales of a Hustla Part 1.
That shit hard
Bruh, you should check out Prince Paul "A Prince Among Thieves" it tells a story and every rapper is a different character. It has Big Daddy Kane, Xzibit, Kool Keith, De La Soul, Everlast and others.
The story was Cam came in the studio, saw Jay asked was there any tension. Jay said no, Cam said ok well jump on this track, Jay never heard the song before and spit that whole verse off the top of his head
When are you gonna do some west coast classics? You sleeping if you don't
Some west coast classic albums:

Come home with me is a good one too. Jim killt it. I see u reacted ima check that out.
If you want another good New York posse cut I recommend - Where It Started (NY) by Jadakiss, Papoose, Raekwon & Talib Kweli produced by Hi-Tek
That mase bar now that they tight again 😂
React To Camron & Juelz - Double Up
"Niggas with the muscle y'all get clapped in a tussle
Imma hustler not a rapper it's just rap is my hustle."
. .. . -Cam'ron
This a great Father’s Day gift. Such a dope track, brings me back to 2002 when I was 20 years old bumping this album non stop
Thank you for the Happy Fathers day.... Review Poor righteous teachers Rock dis funky joint
I'm not a DIPSET fan , but they had some hits.
You mentioned their TALIBAN lines. I believe back in the mixtape days, before they were called DIPSET, a part of them was called the TALIBAN.
My bad if I got this wrong DIPSET FANS 👊🏿
One of my favorite tracks off this album
This beat and what they talking about is so NY
Bro you can be the first to react to Dmx and Camron Pull it. Nobody did it yet
Pac moved to Baltimore first where he met Jada Pinkett, then when to Oakland Ca. and not L.A. yet, L.A was years later
New York,Home of da illest Emceez 😎
What up King! 🫡 yo check out Ma$e Oracle 2 joint. He bodied Puff. 🤣 Ma$e can spit when wants too.
The fact they didn’t come out with a video is wild af. Cause if they had, this visual would of been crazy. And yes I know there was tension between these 2, I get it buddy.
Love this channel. Had to sub
What’s up King!! Nice to see that you’re still killing it 😎 Do you still do promo reactions? I want to send in a couple of tracks if possible.
Man I miss New York hip hop….
Sauce Money feat. Jay Z,
"Pregame"
🔥🔥
Gotta be the version with Sauce 2nd verse🔥
What’s crazy is that Cam has at least 20 verse’s that top this easily
1 of my fav Cam album
What is your 2nd favorite? Purple haze?
Facts
Dipset definitely always mentioned those themes
That's because the album's came out right after 9/11 but you know.
love it when they do the couplets
You should react to
Camron- "Get it in Ohio" That song is a classik 🔥🔥🔥 and they have a video for it also with no censored
You should do the 2 mase disses towards Cam'ron. I think it's called the oracle
Ngl oracle killed cam
Cam a legend.
Damn bro you just getting to this...i been put you on some classic dip songs to rock out to smh
Gave this tune a lot of love way back when...cool tune...yo...you should check Da Fold - you do you, rejection, legacy, lose it, etc. Not a big band but absolute fire!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Mase -The Oracle ..Cam diss
Classic 💪🏾
King Ahmad 💪💥
Cause we from nyc. We have to deal with terrorists alerts and levels on day to day basis. Other states don’t know about that.
Mase was considered to be next after Biggie. His wordplay punchlines and slick rhyme schemes was why they really call him Murda Mase. No one is like Mase. Yeh he ran tho hah
Bro I hope you review the song down and out ft Kanye west not yeezy On Camron purple haze album.
Great track. Dope reaction. Interesting thing: jay said "floored" explorer. Cam said, "costra nostra." Two unusual mistakes. It was probably recorded quickly. However, cam said "costra nostra" in the lox versuz also.
You should react to Cam'ron-"Confessions" and "Death"🤯
Cam cold for real
Review Cam'ron first album CONFESSION OF FIRE"
I Love You SUN. Another excellent Reaction
They had Ye' too!
People automatically assume if someone doesn’t write their bars down they are freestyling off the top of their head. No lol.. what they do is start building the verse in their head the same way you do when you write, and you may also have bars in your head from before.
Ma$e was beefing with Pop Loddy I believe. He was the original Drake smashing everyone’s girlfriends 🤦🏾♂️😂
Exactly. 💯
Mase was beefing with Maine not Pop Lotti. He was cool with Lotti
@@haydotzero3372 yeah you’re right got them confused
Cam is🔥
When you ready to spin back to Big Pun - "Fire Water" ft. Fat Joe, Armageddon and Raekwon, or, "My Dick" ft. Tony Sunshine.
Just listen and learn Young’n, Jay doesn’t write, he last wrote on “reasonable doubt”.
That's what was going on at the time😄
Harlem World mase album gotta reciew it
Classic shit Killa🦅🦅🦅🦅
what’s up Ahmad, how’s it going man? W live stream last night 🔥
Appreciate it my guy even tho they took it down 😂😂💯
True crime ny city ps2 😎💪
You did this whole album I could've sworn
I did the dipset album
Cam snapped on this !!!
Omm 🔥🔥
If you are going to show Mase some love, you HAVE to peep the Oracle. Wait, did you do that one already? Sht I forget.
Brotha Lynch Hung Season Of Da Siccness Album Review/Reaction
Cause he he Quote other people shit so much… I’m from this Hip Hop ish.. Nas & DMX
They had twista odb Joe budden mop they really had the cheat code
Bro I've been watching you for a long time you always bring great content your reactions are real thank you for being you 🔥
Appreciate u my guy 💯💪🏾
I know the beer between cam and mase been over but you should react to "the oracle" by mase. Diss track to cam. It was dope 🔥
Can u react to living the life by notorious big. Its a great tune and probably never been reacted to
1st off, do the date. When dipset had their run was right at the same time when America was attacked. If there were planes that brought down the most iconic skyscrapers in the nation, which happen to down the street from u, u don't think that would be something u would talk about for a while ? It started a 10+ yr war. Ppls loved ones died ..it was a huge deal bro
I was a kid when this dropped 😆😂.
PLEASE react to FANTASTIC FOUR PT.2 from DJ Clue The Professional 2
We have never claimed Pac. There are 2 many rappers in nyc
Yo we had a massive graveyard in our backyard. Everyone in the city felt 9/11 directly, that includes the streets
Its funny to hear nowadays, Cam saying shout out to my man Jigga. Lolol😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cam was on stage with Jay a few years ago performing this. At Jay’s B Sides concert.
Lmao
Bro check out cams verse on “just fire.” That beat goes crazy too 🔥
Could you do a review on Onyx Shut Em Down album.
🗽🗽🗽 we got the best anthems.
Mase ran to Atlanta because he got chased out by some Harlem gang members. Think it was the same crew Big L was running with. There’s a video explaining it on TH-cam
You got to react to Lupe Fiasco - Food and Liquor
SDE was Cam's best work.... he didn't rap that style then
Ma$e album review would be dope if you could get to it. Solid lyrics...Puff's portion isn't overwhelming😂...and it it's pretty entertaining.😊 Then you can do The Madd Rapper's album 👍🏿
Back when new york rappers sound like new york rappers
