Jay is the greatest of all time, He can talk money(floss), be emotional, give you some game, all in one record
Most people who hate Hov don't understand what he's talking about.
"I am, 2.2 pounds you're barely a 125 grams,
Wouldn't expect y'all to understand this money." A True Master of the Conversational Rap
🎯 they never been through it. You'd have to to get it
Jay has a unique lyrical ability that's unparalleled. A lot of his lyrics do fly over people's heads most of the time
“In 94 became the subject of half yall niggas rhymes” was a shot a nas
In 92 a 17 year old nas tour bus was under pressure from out of town. Jay told nas and his team yall good and pulled out a tech if shit popped off
2 years later nas dropped illmatic. On the song respect off that album. Nas got a line reaching for a tech off the dresser
So that 94 line was a direct shot to Nas
Hov’s most underrated album
better than reasonable doubt...
Facts !!
@@ezekwu thats pushing it 😂 but definitely his most slept on
I would argue Vol 3 or American Gangster is most underrated
@@JJ5899I love Vol 3, Dynasty and BP2
Perfect description,From a day 1 Jay-Z og fan,he really does rap like he's having a conversation that only you know about or sees.
Once again, tracks like this are why we call this man the GOAT.
We all know Nas is the goat now let’s be real
@@Ko2275ytNah count me out that we. Hov is him 🐐
@@Ko2275yt I think they both are in different aspects. Biggie Jay Nas
@@sc84_ Kd3 and Magic cemented Nas as the 🐐 tbh. If u like hov more then that’s coo but there’s no way anyone should be denying Nas as the greatest to do it
@@Ko2275ytonly reason I don’t got Nas at number 1 is because he doesn’t have any legendary bars after 2001. I mean I like KD3 and Magic but his verses are forgettable. He doesn’t have the unmistakable top tier lyricism he used to have before the early 2000s. No legendary verses or bars in a very loooooong time.
The next song on that album called “Friend or Foe” is another descriptive track where conversational Jay is strong arming a fake hustler cat trying to move in on his territory. 🔥🔥🔥
"Boi, ya kno who ya fawk wit"
"A gun in your face and that's all you can come up wit!?"
One of the coldest and funniest lines on that joint!💯💯💯💯
@@stradag21 Fax 💯
@@stradag21that's the second Friend or foe. part 2 when they came back again 😆
Check out Where I’m From. It’s off the same album and one of Jay’s best songs.
Easily.....2nd verse is epic.
One of my favorites. Can't remember if he did that one. He mentioned a few years ago that a bunch of his Jay reactions kept getting blocked.
"PreGame"
Sauce Money feat. Jay Z
🔥🔥🔥
Pregame is so grimey. One of the best Hov and Sauce collabs
@@chrismartin3462 definitely!🏆
One of my favorite beats of all time
Jay Z’s first like 7 or 8 albums are all awesome
One of my favorite Ski beats. Ski is criminally slept on as a producer.
Finally!!!! This and “Where I’m from” are the most realist HOV songs!!
I ain’t going to hold ya Hov did his thing on this joint seriously and he was dropping jewels in this joint
Still have my Streets is Watching dvd, takes me back 20 years
same here and the soundtrack
I got the VHS tape
@@chi-townlowend1812the question is, do you have a VCR?
@chi-townlowend1812 same here, VHS and DVD and yes, I have a VCR
That’s a jewel! In doubt if Jay himself has a copy
Amen....on the Jay hate. Doesn't have to be your favorite in order to appreciate.
I've been Jay Z's Lawyer down here in Texas since 2001 and boyz just now gettin it .
It’s so weird to hear the unedited version of this song because the original album version of this was the only song edited. Real ones know
This is conversational Jay at his best
This is my favorite Jay-Z album, hands down!
I'm from Tompkins down the block from Marcy were Jay-Z from. Yeah he was a drug dealer but he didn't sell in the Marcy PJ's because this other crew had it locked down. I'm much older so he got his swag from us older dudes😎 but he made Millions off of it. He also has that Bed-Stuy Brooklyn swag. The streets is definitely watching 👀 🔫 Now Marcy has their own "Slang", You can hear alot of it in Memphis Bleek. 👍🏽✌🏽
Idk wtf they thought them niggas is foul just like us 😂 💯 I remember driving on that block and being so surprised at how close the two projects are. (I’m from Jersey)
For the perfect Hustler StoryTeller Jay...Friend or Foe 1 & 2 are peak young Hov...Chefs Kiss!
By the way, Stree is Watching is a track from Vol 1, In My Lifetime in 1997 and also from the soundtrack of the movie STREET IS WATCHING produced by Jay-Z from Roc-A-Fella in 1998 (Roc-A-Film)
I used to think he was biting BIG with so many lines. But he’s actually giving publishing to Biggies kids. Literally a check on every one of those lines. Forever. That’s an incredible way of honouring Big and his children. 🙏🏻. I had reasonable doubt back in 96. I was 17 and played it in the park and house parties here in the uk
Love this album. This, Imaginary Player, Where I'm From, Who u wit, Friend or Foe '98, One And A million Questions, Real Niggas, You must Love me, etc. Matter fact, I'm gonna go listen to it right now, thanks Ahmad.
Top 10 is straight disrespect to the 🐐 that man is the greatest of all time. The reason he gets hate is the mayweather syndrome. People hate on mayweather because he’s cocky and successful. No different than Jayz, Diddy, etc. people hate on them to follow the trend
Fun fact: this beat is a sample of Labi Saffrie’s song titled: I Got The Blues. The same song was sampled for the “My Name Is” beat by Eminem, but obviously a different part of the song was sampled.
** I would definitely react to this album if I were you. It’s a bit more polished then Reasonable Doubt but still absolutely 🔥. Jay-Z is top 5 dead or alive in my book. . I agree, anyone not having Jay in their top 10 makes no sense.
The number one mafioso/trap rapper of all time
Some of Jay-Z's quotes:
"Hov is a Legend and I tell u why: everybody wanna be Hov but Hov is still alive..."
"They say they never really miss u til u dead or u gone..."
“They say a midget standing on a giant’s shoulders can see much further than the giant. So I got the whole rap world on my shoulders, they trying to see further than I am.”
Facts!
Jay-Z is the GOAT
Hey you need to review Jay Z song called "Come And Get Me"... this has 4 verses of straight fire lyrics. This song is great with 2 different beats on it, the beats and chorus are really good on this song
Absolutely no Jay disrespect. He is absolutely great. Technical skilled MC. The greatest in my opinion.
As much props Jay gets.. he actually deserves it. Bars, flow, impact, he's definitely top 5.
Appreciate the upload. Vol I was almost like a Reasonable Doubt Pt. 2. In case you didn't know there was a Streets Is Watching soundtrack that was pretty good too. Had some fire rnb tracks on it as well.
Hov is the master of the Conversational Flow 📠📠📠💯
Facts 💯🤦🏾♂️
@@KingAhmadTvLin Manuel Miranda studied that flow when he was writing Hamilton and Kendrick also has stated being amazed by/to have studied that specific conversational flow.
It's Jay's flow period.
Jay had a crew down here in Va. I used to see him at Hampton U back in the early 90s
Small world. I sent a story somewhere that he used to be down in jersey a lot too 💯
IMO Vol. 3 so many bars and hot beats too kind of an underground album 🔥 Do that album next
He gotta add Watch Me and There’s Been A Murder to the track listing because for some reason those songs are not on the track listing anymore.
Tbh you could’ve let it play into the next song that’s just as fire called “where I’m from”🔥🔥
Gotta do this whole album. Only one bad song on it and that’s only because of the beat and sample.
And yes do the Streets Is Watching movie 🔥
PEACE KING. PEACE TO THE FAMILY. YOU SHOULD DO "YOU MUST LOVE ME" FROM THIS ALBUM. IT'S A SONG ABOUT JAY SHOOTING HIS BROTHER. REAL RAP💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
Some of that G ish from Jay. Honestly one of my fav Jay tracks. The streets is watching movie. Dope.
50 Cent quoted him using his same line to diss him. Like bruh, you said it. Lol 😂
I love this track. I keep coming back to it. I like the insight you have on Jay's style, "like he's standing on the sidewalk having a conversation with someone." I agree, I've never heard that insight before. Cheers! TY
Appreciate the reaction man I was patiently waiting 😄😄 Don't forget about that mase ride or die diss from Jay track I sent you a payment request a few
weeks back.
I agree any Jay disrespect cannot be tolerated
Fun fact. This was the last jay z song biggie heard before he died. Biggie asked Jay if he could keep the tape and biggie played this over and over in the studio
Awe yeah..now your digging into the real Hov songs..
Thank you my brother for reacting to this track one of my favourites hope your staying blessed fam
This was the last song Hov played to Biggie before he passed shortly after.
Ahh Jayz’s streets is watching. Such a remarkable rhymer. Even though Billboard and other reputable outlets call him the Goat he’s still underrated imo
Imaginary players, real Niggaz,A million and one questions, who you wit, crack game, where I’m from, you myst love me, friends or foe. There you have it my fav songz Off the album
I always said Jay isn't a rapper..he's a conversationalist...it feels like he's having a conversation with you..this is why people say when he's talking about the things he has he's putting them down but he's not talking to the every day man .. he's talking to rappers...it just feels like he's talking directly to you 😂😂
Top descriptive rappers who talk coke bars are Jay-Z, Pusha-T, and Jeezy. People hate on the first two for obvious reasons. Number 1 reason is because they don’t understand what they are saying and dismiss the whole thing instead of having understanding of that persons story. On the flip side they’ll watch all the drug dealing shows like Power, BMF, and Raising Kannan with their feet kicked up on a couch. Jay-Z drops gems low key in his songs if you listen to them. It’s crazy how people hate people they don’t know.
My favorite album out of his collection yes sir
Jay z said this was the last song he played for biggie before he died one of my favorite Jay z songs🔥
That’s wild 🔥💯
You really had to be a hustler or understood the hustler lingo back in the 90’s when Jay was spitting these rhymes fresh off the press… these rhymes weren’t for the average listener lol… years later people are just now realizing what he was talking about or saying
You finally get it with your Kingpin comments. Jay is the realest.
Yeah Jay went stupid on that last verse. Late 90s hov is easily my favorite version of him. You gotta day People Talkin by him if you haven't already. He references the Nas beef on that one.
He was doing his thing in the streets independently!🔥
You really getting into some me classic shit now bro. 🎯💯💪🏾
Soundtrack AND movie were BOTH dope!! I remember coppin' both at the same time! Great time in Hip Hop!
Most definitely have to do the movie soundtrack it will really give you more insight of his life in the streets
Been asking you to do the movie for a minute. Visuals go great with this shit. You will not be disappointed.
During the hook you can hear audio from a movie called "Sleepers" (1996), which was pretty clever of Ski Beatz to utilize for this production. I highly recommend the movie for you or anyone else who enjoys legal drama and justice. Respect!
The streets is watching dvd is that work too!!!
I can't lie, I was hoping this was the movie. Please react to that one. You're gonna be glad you did. And Canibus said that line "if I shoot you" on a track called Melatonin Magic" I believe.
The 'Streets is Watching' movie is a MUST WATCH!!!! The movie is made up of the visuals for these tracks.
Loved this album! Played it everyday in 9th grade
Ok u back on the historical list I sent you
You know it 💯🔥
It’s crazy how many people I come across in comments dealing with JayZ saying he trash and overrated and you like wack rappers if you like him smh.
In My Lifetime vol. 1 is Jay's second best album.
Classic Album😂 to us in the south that know hip-hop and the movie!
You gotta do “Never Take Me Alive”, Young Gunz ft. Jay Z
🔥
U gon luv Jayz album american Gangsta
50 said it on one of the Guess Who’s Back songs … this line was a shot at 50 supposedly
Jay said it first
Check out the movie it’s 🔥 We used to have it playing in the background in clubs and gambling spots in the 90s
People hate what they don’t understand. U gotta give slow people some grace.😂😂😂
for real though you should really just do the whole album
@KingAhmadTv Bro you gotta do a reaction to “Dead Presidents 1” and think about where Young Thug would be if he heard that song!!!
Do more from this alnum
🔥🔥🔥 GOAT!!!!!
My favorite Hov album
Shit the next song on that album start there 🎯
You see this young man is smart he doesn't listen to these morons and haters bro
Love this albums
hell yea he was really out there
Lol top 15 - 20? Lol bro
by the time you’ve completed his pre-retirement 8 album run (Reasonable Doubt through The Black album), the best 8 album stretch in Hip Hop, you’ll understand that he’s been top 1. Hov has BEEN Thee GOAT for over 25 years & always will be. He has the greatest catalogue, the most influence & no one raps better nor as real.
And lastly, yes, between 1983 - 1997, Hov & his partners moved millions & millions of dollars worth of cocaine. All his raps are about his real life. There are multiple other hustlers & drug lords with records that can & have attested to this. Hov the only black kingpin from the crack era to make it out without dying snitching or prison.
Salute the GOAT
Jay Nas and Big my top 3 forever and I’m from the D same as you.
Bro just do the whole album 😅 its one of his best
50 said that to give Jay a lyrical blow 😎
Pause
You should do more Westcoast & Midwest Hip-Hop reviews and some underground gangsta Rap
You gotta watch the movie too
Don't underestimate Blueprint 2, couple of skips of course but also some of the highest of his career. People hate too much on that album
You gotta do Murdergram with Jay, DMX, and Ja Rule!! It's Murda!
The hate is from New Era fans.Jay has been one of the most consistent and all around artists even compared to even some of the hottest artists that ever did it.
You gotta do Where I’m From if you haven’t already
We grew up off this
Great Reaction !!!!! You might like the "Streets is watching" , wanna say movie but it's a musical film of a bunch of unreleased videos into a story line, if you check it out know you will like,,its on youtube for free "for now"
